The most-awaited sports comedy-drama film Dream has, at last, confirmed its release date. The Korean movie, starring Park Seo Joon and IU, is slated to release on April 26.
Dream is a story about a soccer team competing in an annual international soccer event of Homeless World Cup. And leading the team is Yoon Hong Dae - a professional soccer player appointed as the team's coach on disciplinary probation after causing trouble in an unexpected incident.
Much against his desire, he must now guide the team consisting of homeless people, who are also novice players, to compete in the Homeless World Cup.
Playing the role of coach Yoon Hong Dae is Park Seo Joon. Dream will be the actor's first movie of the year. He is currently being seen in the Korean reality tv show Jinny's Kitchen alongside Choi Woo Shik and V.
Joining Park Seo Joon in the comedy movie is the Music Queen of South Korea IU. She will be seen as Lee So Min - an aspiring producing director who wants to take a quantum leap in her career by making a documentary about Hong Dae’s team. Other cast members include Kim Jong Soo, Ko Chang Seok, Jung Seung Kil, and Lee Hyun Woo, among others.
Along with the confirmation of the release date, the movie's teaser poster and teaser trailer has also been released.
The Korean movie is helmed by Lee Byung Hun, who also penned the screenplay of the movie. His other famous works include the hit comedy movie Extreme Job and the law drama Again My Life.
The movie's filming began in May 2020 in South Korea, and it was wrapped up on April 13, 2022, in Hungary. Dream will be released in movie theatres in South Korea on April 26. So far, there is no word about the film's premiere on OTT platforms.
