Disney+ has unveiled fresh teasers for its upcoming original series The Tyrant.
The Tyrant is a sci-fi action drama about people who gather for different purposes chasing each other after the last sample of the Tyrant Program disappears in an accident.
The character posters captivate with the stark contrasts of light and shadow, featuring four fierce characters.
The character teaser begins with the powerful entry of Lim Sang (Cha Seung Won), who is trying to remove obstacles in the Tyrant Program. He says, "I really don't like saying it twice. Where is this person?" Chaos unfolds.
It then reveals Choi Gook Jang (Kim Seon Ho), who is trying to protect the program. He resolves to retrieve the program, no matter what stands in his way. Paul (Kim Kang Woo), a pursuer who is trying to steal the Tyrant Program upon hearing the news that the last sample has disappeared, also appears. He asks Choi, "Why did you create such a program when you can't even handle it?" Additionally, technician Ja Kyung (Jo Yoon Soo), tasked with stealing the program, joins the fray.
A messy chase, dangerous and powerful individuals clashing, and a high-stakes situation — The Tyrant promises to be an action spectacle.
The K-drama also dropped stills featuring Kim Seon Ho (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Start-Up, Catch the Ghost).
Kim Seon Ho stated, "Unlike the roles I've taken on before, I wanted to challenge myself with a lonely and solitary character," and expressed trust in his close teamwork with director Park Hoon Jung, as he discussed how to express emotions and subtle changes in each scene.
The Tyrant will premiere on August 14 only on Disney+. Watch the teaser here.
