tvN's upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama Serendipity's Embrace has confirmed its premiere date for July 22. On June 25, the production team released table-read stills.
Serendipity's Embrace is about Lee Hong Joo (Kim So Hyun) and Yeong (Chae Jong Hyeop) reuniting after ten years and finding their destinies.
The script reading session was attended by director Song Hyun Wook, writer Park Geu Ro, and actors Kim So Hyun, Chae Jong Hyeop, Yun Ji On, Kim Da Som, Lee Won Jung, Hwang Sung Bin, Choi Dae Chul, Yoon Jung Hee, and Kim Jung Nan.
Kim So Hyun plays Lee Hong Joo, an animation producer who undergoes changes after meeting Kang Hoo Yeong (Chae Jong Hyeop). Chae Jong Hyeop comes as Kang Hoo Yeong, a financial planner with good looks and a sharp mind. Successful in both professional and personal life, Kang Hoo Yeung returns to Korea after 10 years and reunites with his first love, Lee Hong Joo.
Yun Ji On plays Bang Jun Ho, a free-spirited writer who wants to turn back time. He regrets his past choices and tries to make amends for the same.
Kim Da Som plays Kim Hye Ji, an English teacher at Obok High School and Lee Hong Joo's best friend.
Lee Won Jung portrays Kwon Sang Pil, Lee Hong Joo and Kim Hye Ji's friend and self-proclaimed best friend of Kang Hoo Yeong.
Hwang Sung Bin transforms into Son Kyung Taek, a physical education teacher at Obok High School, and is called "Superman" by his students.
Choi Dae Chul plays Baek Wook, Kang Hoo Yeong's uncle, while Yoon Jung Hee takes on the role of Bae Hye Sook, the CEO of the company Peter's Pen.
Additionally, Kim Jung Nan makes a special appearance as Baek Do Sun, Kang Hoo Yeong's mother.
Serendipity's Embrace will premiere on July 22. There is no news yet about the K-drama's global OTT service.
