The horror K-movie Spring Garden (Korean title Neulbom Garden) is confirmed to be released in August.
So Hee lives a happy life with her caring husband and is excited for their soon-to-arrive baby. But her world comes crumbling down when, one morning, she wakes to a horrifying discovery: her husband has hanged himself above their bed. Struggling to come to terms with his death and the emotional shock that leads to her losing her baby, she soon learns that her husband has left her a house in a remote place.
This house has everything the couple desired for their dream home, yet there is something sinister about it. As So Hee senses a menacing presence targeting her life, she grows suspicious, convinced that the house holds clues to her husband's death. Her doubts only intensify as increasingly bizarre occurrences unfold around her.
The K-movie stars Jo Yoon Hee, Jung In Gyeom, Kim Joo Ryoung, Heo Dong Won, and Yoon Ga Hyun. It takes the real-life Neulbom Garden Restaurant in Jecheon as its motif, which is one of the top three haunted places in South Korea, following Gonjiam Psychiatric Hospital and Yeongdeok Haunted House. The place has long been recognized as a hub for ghost stories, as eerie sightings intensify its horror. Another such movie that has its story set in one of the most haunted places in the country is the 2018 K-horror thriller Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (starring Wi Ha Joon, Park Sung Hoon, Oh Ah Yun, Park Ji Hyun, and Moon Ye Won).
The teaser poster features a spooky mansion standing in gloomy and sinister surroundings. The text reads, "South Korea's top three haunted places: Gonjiam Psychiatric Hospital, Yeongdeok Haunted House, and..."
