"Vigilante Season 2": Nam Joo Hyuk, Yoo Ji Tae, Kim So Jin's Disney+ K-Drama in Plans for New Season
Season 2 for the Disney+ series Vigilante is in the planning stage.
An entertainment industry official told JTBC Entertainment News on July 19, "Season 2 of Vigilante is being produced. Lead actors such as Nam Joo Hyuk, Yoo Ji Tae, and Kim So Jin from Season 1 will appear in Season 2 as well. The casting process for new characters is currently underway."
In response to this report, a representative from Studio N, the production company of Vigilante, stated, "We are currently in the planning stages," and also mentioned that the scheduling is yet to be determined. Meanwhile, the agencies of Nam Joo Hyuk, Yoo Ji Tae, and Kim So Jin have expressed different positions regarding the actors' participation.
However, if the scheduling and arrangements go smoothly, the actors are expected to reprise the roles they played in Vigilante.
Vigilante tells the story of Kim Ji Yong, who leads a double life. By day, he is an exemplary police academy student upholding the law, but by night, he becomes a vigilante passing judgment on those who evade the legal system.
In the K-drama, Nam Joo Hyuk plays the dark hero Kim Ji Yong; Yoo Ji Tae plays the head of the metropolitan investigation team, Cho Heon, pursuing the vigilante; and Kim So Jin portrays Choi Mi Ryeo, a journalist who introduces the vigilante to the world.
