Shishio Makoto

Shishio Makoto is a former Ishin Shishi touted to be the successor of Battosai Himura Kenshin. Shishio held grudge against the Meiji government which betrayed him after the Battle of Toba–Fushimi by trying to kill and burned him alive.
He planned to overthrow the current government and conquer Japan. Motivated to take revenge on the Meiji government, Shishio first took over the Kyoto region.
He assembled a group of elite fighters known as Juppongatana (Ten Swords) and departed for Tokyo on a ship.
His final battle (in Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends ) took place on the ship, where he easily overpowered Kenshin, Saito, Sanosuke, and Aoshi. But due to his unnatural body constitution(Because he was set on fire, nearly all his sweat glands were burned), he hit his time limit of 15 minutes, and Kenshin managed to land the secret move Amakakeru, leaving Shishio incapacitated and then burned to death due to overheating.
