  No I was not expecting The Double 2.0. The trailer and first 3 fantastic episodes promised tons of angst and enemies to lovers but I ain’t getting that. I was super excited for anti-hero male lead like Xie Wei (SOKP) but he turned out to be quite a softy, vulnerable and tortured soul. I’m not feeling much of the chemistry with FL, it feels like he fell for her too quickly. I prefer a slow burn. But its fine, I’m still watching. I do love the siblings rivalry, it’s in fact what’s holding my attention.

Im am glad that we are on the same page again. ?Nothing to add, but something I will add though Haha I like her character here too, it's similar to her previous roles but yet different. She's a lot softer but still tough.
Some people are complaining ing that ml is becoming softer, but it’s true him !! the loveable guy we all fall in love with.? the bad guy was a fake one !
What I also like about him is when he is searchingly looking at fl , trying to figure out, after each conversation - what she thinks ☺️

I watched a lot of historical Cdramas this year and I totally agree with you . ML and FL did a great job in this drama , and I have nothing to complain about . FL characters in double and kill me love me are two sides to one coin , she is really talented and she deserves more support from her company instead of leaving her in the corner for more than 2 years before giving her the double role.

I agree with you, one issue is WJY's inseparable personality: clearly a strong, independent, open, bold, determined woman and at the same time feminine without being fragile. Her roles combine these strengths with each character's new look and the directors are efficient in using these strengths without the character being a reminder of the previous one. If this happened, the actor/actress would be questioned, but on the contrary, a good actor/actress breaks with the flesh of a character to give life to another without repeating patterns.
