Summary/notes on Ep 1 to Ep 3 (The pace is fast, this will help to understand the story later :))

Episode 1 Summary

• 1939, Qu Wenzhi (QWZ), a KMT military advisor from Changsha, defects to the Japanese with Changsha’s defense map. He heads to Shanghai to meet a Japanese agent called Viscount.
• At Shanghai train station, three parties are involved:
• Japanese police/No. 76 are there to protect QWZ.
• Changsha KMT (Team FL) aims to capture QWZ.
• Shanghai KMT plans to assassinate QWZ.
• HS (our protagonist) is there too, spying on Viscount. He’s not supposed to intervene but does anyway:
• HS ask his assistant no. 1 to kill Jap sniper by using KMT gun and ask assistant no. 2 to follow viscount assistant, Miss Xu. So, they discover a wine truck from red wine’s house escaping and realize QWZ has fled—the person who died in shooting frenzy was just a decoy.
• HS asked assistant no. 1 to report/call to No. 76 (pretending to be KMT) that Viscount’s car belongs to anti-Japanese activists The assistant also call HS’s father, Mr. Yun to report situation there.
• HS said he want to catch that person (QWZ) 1st before Viscount because he want to trade something w his dad (we later found out that HS want to know dad secret) but he overestimate himself.. huhu..
• Jap police shoot Viscount car because of HS fake report.

•  At Red Wine House
• The upstairs VIP room is occupied by Japanese agents and the traitor (QWZ). HS and his team sit in the common area.
• HS notices FL disguised in fake kimonos, trying to sneak into the VIP room. he is sus.
• HS pretends to go to the bathroom but sneaks to check the wine truck. He’s almost caught but saved by a CGI cat. ?
• But FL catches HS in the act, and they fight. A gun accidentally goes off, alerting everyone.
• HS slips away.. the traitor also escape.. FL team also manage to slip away..

• On the way back, HS heard news about his father’s bank deal with the Japanese and becomes upset.

• At the Bank of France - Mr. Yun (HS’s dad) owns a bank working with the French. The bank’s bonds are helping the Japanese exploit the Chinese economy, which enrages HS.
• Mr Frank (from bank) said they have to do this for business.. basically they are capitalist.. So HS is upset to his dad..
• HS confronts his dad, saying he’ll sever ties if his dad continues supporting the French.
• Mr. Yun scolds HS for exposing them while interfering in Shanghai Station. HS defends his actions, claiming he was trying to stop the Japanese for the sake of the Chinese people. HS think the person that the Japanese wanted to meet must be very important. (He has no idea who QWZ).
• Mr. Yun reveals that Viscount’s actions at the train station were a trap to identify spies. HS fell into it.. (HS is young and ambitious.. huhu.. but he has a good heart <3)
• Dad reminded HS about the task he was given about unknown dead soldiers that Japanese killed, they buried them secretly.. ??? - Dad is a good guy...

• Viscount is furious, because all this time he didn't realise that Mr Yun are spying on him.. plan to kill Mr. Yun.

• Mr. Yun makes a new plan since their cover is blown.
• Mr. Yun gives HS task to find the location of QWZ
• HS said dad doing this for Mr Cheng (Shanghai KMT leader) and exchanging Intel for profit.. - Dad said don't pry.. HS is not ready yet...
• HS deduced that the traitor should be staying at Shanghai Hotel. (HS is so intelligent! ?)
• There will be wine's reception soon.. HS cleverly sends free wine gifts to all rooms. Room 502 rejects the gift, indicating high security—QWZ is there.

• At home, Mr. Yun meet uncle Yang, underground CPC agent, also a minister of economic affairs for KMT Changsa. (Just transfer from Shanghai)
• They talk about a dangerous Japanese agent, Kunwu, who has resurfaced after five years. Kunwu’s appearance signals a major operation. Mr. Yun and uncle Yang has been looking for kunwu all these time.
• Uncle Yang’s CPC tasks: strengthening guerrilla warfare and continuing KMT-CPC cooperation against Japan.
• Mr. Yun’s need to cut family ties for safety. High-level agents like Mr. Yun remain unidentified to everyone, even family. Only a backup code (a torn picture) can reach him.
• Mr. Yun wants to recruit HS into the underground organization.

End of episode 1.

Episode 3 Summary

• At the Radio Station - Mr. Liu, an employee, is mysteriously killed.
• HS impersonates a Japanese soldier to investigate and finds an address on Mr. Liu’s body.
• HS, FL, and the Japanese all investigate the the murder..
• Only our intelligent HS, eventually uncovering that Mr. Miura, the radio station boss, is Myna, the mysterious intel seller.
• The Japanese also later figure out Myna’s identity. They chase HS and Myna, but FL interrupts, leading to a fight. Myna escapes.

• At home 
• HS find out about dad’s bank transferring gold to Japan. He is upset and pouting…
• Meanwhile, Japanese side discover that Mr. Yun is still alive and plan to kill him.
• Myna sends a letter to HS’s home offering to sell intel.
• HS wants to deal with Myna’s intel, but his father locks him in a room with Butler Xu’s help to keep him out of danger.

• While HS is locked up, his father discusses how to handle Myna with Butler Xu, deciding to involve the French to observed Japan reaction.
• HS escapes from the locked room (troublemaker HS huhu)
• Myna is about to go out when receiving a call threatened about his daughter, forcing him to head to Changsha.
• **** I suspect the drawing HS found might have been intended for Myna, and some high-ranking Japanese officials want to manipulate him… my opinion only***** 
• FL receives a call from Myna, arranging a meeting at 8 PM (same place where he supposed to meet HS in his letter to HS)

• Mr. Yun suspects the drawing was made by Kunwu and believes Kunwu is confident Japan will conquer Changsha.
• Butler Xu reports that the Japanese have sent out assassins, and Mr. Yun deduces they’re targeting Myna… and HS, unaware, has already left to meet Myna.
• Mr Yun said  all of their ppl already replaced to protect news that he was dead.. they don’t want to use the only team they have because of the ongoing gold mission..
• The Yun family house is also under surveillance, cutting off their communication channels.
• Mr. Yun decides to act, even though it risks his life, to signal to his allies that something is wrong.

• The Japanese plan to kill Mr. Yun but spare HS.
• Mr. Yun goes to meet HS, but FL is also there. FL misunderstands, thinking HS is meeting Myna, and begins shooting.
• Japanese assassins ambush them, killing Mr. Yun and Butler Xu.
• Mr. Ling, the observer, witnesses the chaos. FL escapes the scene, while HS is left heartbroken, crying over his father’s death.

• FL return to Changsha, evading Japanese pursuit.

• A hidden CPC agent (Team Gold Mission) waits for confirmation of Mr. Yun’s team’s success. If the plan fails, the agent is instructed to retrieve a package from the bank and deliver it to an address (likely Uncle Yang’s). ) Butler Xu also mentioned that after the reception task completed, he will give the key to him... (is this related to gold mission???? But Butler Xu already die tho.. )

• The Japanese discover that the gold sent by Mr. Yun was fake, enraging Tokyo. They realize everything is connected to Mr. Yun and begin searching for HS.

• HS mourns his father and vows revenge.
• He finds a half-photo of his father and starts wondering about his father’s secret identity
• HS deciphers the drawing and decides to return to Changsha, seeking answers and justice.

• Bad uncle want to kill HS too because of gold and bank problem.. they just greedy ppl I guess

• HS is captured by the Japanese police, who he suspects are responsible for his father’s death. While in custody, he learns about the fake gold and regrets misunderstanding his father’s intentions earlier
• A mysterious attack disrupts the Japanese police, likely by the KMT, allowing HS to escape.
• At Changsha - Changsha is under attack by the Japanese.
• Brother Yun, a new character, is introduced...
