kashmiri song

Language is a hindrance in being able to enjoy such beautiful instruments, music, singers and artists. If India is explored, millions of gems will be found.

Beautiful song  :)

I don't believe in Aryan & Dravidian theory .

There are so many dubbed films of south in hindi language or with english subtitles .

please do watch

 Sita Ramam

 Leo

 Intelligent Khiladi

"Dravidian" is the name of the family ofl languages. I'm not referrring to any theories.  I probably should have said ":Dravidic" to avoid confusion.

I have seen several  Tamil movies, and some in Telugu and Malayalam,  but didn't realise that so many of my favourite ARR tracks (from a compilation CD(!) I owned years ago alll came from the same film, Alaiyupathry

Sorry, i still stand my point .

An Analogy of the Dravidian Languages by Robert Caldwell (A Comparative Grammar of the Dravidian or South Indian Family Languages, 1856). It is said that he took the word Dravidam from which the languages separated from Tamil are the Tamil language family. dot

Koi sehri babu dil lehri babu, hai re
A city boy, a romantic boy, oh my

Pag baandh gaya ghunghroo
He tied an anklet to my foot and

Main chham chham nachdi phiraan-2
I danced around, jingling

Main to chaloon haule haule
I walk slowly slowly

Phir ve mann dole
Then see my heart sways

Arre mere rabba main kee kara
Oh my god, what should I do?

Main chham chham nachdi phiraan
I danced around, jingling

Koi sehri babu dil lehri babu, hai re
A city boy, a romantic boy, oh my

Pag baandh gaya ghunghroo
He tied an anklet to my foot

Main chham chham nachdi phiraan
I danced around, jingling

Panghat pe main chham jaane lagi
I am going to the well jingling

Natkhat se main sharmaane lagi-2
I am feeling shy of the mischievous one

Dhadkan se main ghabraane lagi
I am scared of my heartbeat

Darpan se main katraane lagi
I am startled by looking in the mirror

Mann khaaye hichkole aise jaise naiya dole
My heart swings as a boat sways

Arre mere rabba main kee kara
Oh my god, what should I do?

Main chham chham nachdi phiraan
I danced around, jingling

Koi sehri babu dil lehri babu, hai re
A city boy, a romantic boy, oh my

Pag baandh gaya ghunghroo
He tied an anklet to my foot

Main chham chham nachdi phiraan
I danced around, jingling

Sapnon mein chori se aane laga
In my dreams, secretly he comes

Raaton ki nindiya churaane laga-2
He steals my nights' sleep

Nainon ki dori bithaake mujhe
Setting strings with his eyes

Leke bahut door jaane laga
Taking me, he goes far away

Mere ghoonghta ko khole, meethe meethe bol bole
He opens my veil, he utters sweet sweet words

Arre mere rabba main kee kara
Oh my god, what should I do?

Main chham chham nachdi phiraan
I danced around, jingling

Koi sehri babu dil lehri babu, hai re
A city boy, a romantic boy, oh my

Pag baandh gaya ghunghroo

When the hues of rainbow color the clear skies
Is the moment, my dream too breaks to wake up into the dawn

the cool breeze caressing from the rivulet
is like all the blisses woven into the rhapsody of a flute

You shine bright like sun, to the comforting dreams of mine
Like memories sprouting with spring like sweetness

I relent to the beauty, of the peacock spreading its feathers
As it spreads love within me, infecting me through the night

O’ beautiful…your figurine is culmination of the charm
Malare (floret)…you are the dew drop, filling my very existence

Floret when I don’t see you,
Feels like 'm losing color from my vision

The moment you heartlessly refuse to be near me,
Feels like, the dreams are just drifting away from me

I hid under my soul’s many cavities
From all and sundry,
the rhythm, the melody, the tunes,
and the many hues
My slipping heart throbs
With the torrent of your love, drenching me today...

By embracing a tired me, with the overwhelming cool passion of yours
Floret…O’beautiful

You shine bright, to the comforting dreams of mine
As if like the spring time, dripping honey in my memories

I forget myself, spotting the peacock spreading its feathers
As it spreads love within me, infecting me through the night

O’ beautiful…your figurine is culmination of the charm
Malare (floret)…you are the dew drop, filling my very existence
