Anime VS. Dramas (Which do you prefer?)

Not to be rude, but is there a difference between cartoons and animes?

I think of cartoons as the cartoons I see in American TV and the style is drawn differently. Anime is a more realistic style and it came from Japan... That's how I see it.

I think all animes are cartoons, but not all cartoons are anime. I think a cartoon is anything that is animated. IMO, what distinguishes anime is a japanese animation aesthetic.

Yep those that know me (Lis/C4U) already know but i have to be honest i love this gif & any opportunity to crowbar it in anywhere i will take it....just be grateful i have calmed down with Zilly & dont send him on a rampage through MDL like i used to :D

It was because of anime that I even tried watching dramas (more precisely because of the song from the anime). However, I suppose now though I watch more dramas than anime, I love them pretty equally. Sometimes my mood leans towards watching dramas, sometimes anime. I don't watch anime if the art and/or story is not up to my liking though similar could be said about dramas which I find difficult to watch if people I dislike star in them or they have poor storyline.

I have to say I've been liking drama more these past few years. Anime's just become so recycled. I only have like 3 new ones this year I want to watch and usually it ends up being just one a year I watch. I often stick to stuff I watched years ago or yaoi. :p I don't really care for anime much but I LOVE my dramas. I dunno, dramas are just more entertaining for me for some reason. I blame Delicious Gakuin for getting me obsessed with it. It was anime-like but I dunno just better than an anime. XD

For the most part dramas. Animes don't interest me much anymore unless they're yaoi or they're intriguing. And I have to be really intrigued XD.

It's actually more easier for me to watch anime than dramas considering how one episode of a drama is at least an hour long. But I love them both equally
