What do you do when you hate a main character?

This is the same, when I find wether the male lead or the female lead not physically to my liking.

You could be missing out on a great drama because of that. And I find that most of the time the really pretty ones tend to suck the most. The not so good looking ones give it their all and come out phenomenal.

But hey, that's your preference.

I know, I am not narrow-minded about it. For instance I found Gong Hyo-jin not pretty compares to her co-stars. But I still gave a try to her dramas and I ended up liking it. It’s just that at first I am less attracted to a drama when I don’t find the leads pretty. But I won’t refrain myself from watching because of it.

I would stop watching. There are other good dramas. If you want to watch Turkish series, I can suggest you "Hayat Şarkısı". In my opinion, even antagonists are not that annoying in this drama.

Yeah I love Hayat Sarkisi and Turkish series in general. I just decided to watch elimi birakma recently cause everyone was saying how amazing it is and the chemistry btw the leads so I decided to try it but Alp (the actor playing cenk) is really not male lead material.

Honestly I didn’t get those vibes from Cenk when you were describing him, quite the opposite actually. I literally just finished watching Elimi Bırakma  and I’d say Cenk is the opposite of what you’ve described him as. The person that actually sounds like what you have described earlier is actually Barış. Out of his anger towards Cenk he hurt so many people. This is also because he let Sumru’s words cloud his judgement. I think Cenk did really well despite the pressure and problems he faced.

I get some spoiler, if there are no changes.. drop it!!! To me the 1 thing important in a drama its sympathy for the main leads.

When  I hate a main character, I usually drop the drama. Even if the supporting characters are good I can’t keep watching because I dislike the main wa too much.

I have dropped quite a few dramas because of this, which is sad because there are so many I really wanted to enjoy and went in watching with a positive attitude but....

I now try to force myself to watch a few more episodes, because I find it takes me a little longer to start understanding/ to like the main lead sometimes.

As long as you like all the other characters alongside the story and pacing, there's not much of a problem so I'll continue watching. If the pacing is slow, story is not compelling enough or there are other minor characters that I dislike, then i'll just drop it!
