oppa

unni

oma

are few my favs not sure on spellings

I really love the way Koreans speak. Their intonations make their language sound so cute to me. That is the biggest reason why I wanted to learn Korean. Also because one day I want to be able to watch a kdrama or a korean variety show or an interview without subtitles.

Some of my favourite words right now are:

  • Kapchagi - suddenly/all of a sudden/also used when someone appears suddenly and they get scared
  • Palli - Quick/Hurry
  • Chon Choni - Slowly/Slow down
  • Ottokae - How/What should I do?
  • Saranghae - I love you
  • Shiro - Hate or I hate it or a way of saying no
  • Ttorai - Psycho
  •  Yeppuda - Pretty
  • Nunmul or Nunmuri - Tears but it's literal translation is "eye water" which is so cute
  • Haengbukhae - I'm happy
  • Oppa - Older brother (by sister)/older male love interest (of a female)
  • Noona - Older sister (by brother)/older female love interest (of a male)
  • Kharabo - go out/leave
  • Tusso - Forget it
  • Daebak - Awesome
  • Odiya - where are you?

Some of the words I've learnt fairly recently and some I knew from a while now but they are still my favourites. I have kept a note in my phone of all the words I hear and learn through kdramas. It's around 200 words now.
