Im not a huge J-Rock fan. Just really really really in love with L'Arc en Ciel. Best band ever.lol. Although having said that im not so big on some of their recent songs. I realise you said you dont want any heavy stuff so I would recommend tracks like 'Natsu no Yuutsu', 'Vivid Colours', 'Flower', 'Its the End', 'Kaze no Yukue', 'Dive Into Blue'...I could go on for ages lol. The tracks I mentioned have this soft melody and are not heavy at all. I think even if you're not into rock you can enjoy them. Check out a couple and see what you think :) I love SPYAIR and GACKT too. When it comes to rock I tend to listen to British or American bands more.
i recommend MEJIBRAY. their songs are quite heavy but their music is still really good. edit: oh wait no vk? then ignore this post haha

A shame you write off Visual Kei bands if you are looking for some light rock music. Visual Kei puts emphasis on the visual style and therefor hosts a shitload of music branches within it, including a lot of light rock music. Just because they look feminine, goth, or dark or whatever doesn't mean their music is hard. Visual Kei can actually be any type of music. Also some of the bands you listed have produced some really nice light rock music, especially L'Arc-en-Ciel and Versailles.

There's also Oshare Kei which is mostly upbeat happy music with lot's of colors or just handsome guys showing off their fashion sense if you prefer that. Some examples:

D=OUT - One: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xjk2gKCUCo
176BIZ - Aqua: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04JcqFJ0s1o
POPCORE - Heart: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMkDshlEchc
MASK - Mirai e no Tsubasa: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk1DPbN0cjg
Ohhh, I know some pretty good non visual kei bands to listen too! Here's some of my favorite bands:

One Ok Rock
Sakanaction
Andymori
Radwimps
Cinema Staff
My First Story
Pay Money to My Pain (p.s. some of their songs having screaming in it, but I love their songs Same As You Are, Home, Life, Pictures, these songs have no screaming lol oh and the vocalist K died last year so they band has disbanded :( )
BIGMAMA
Sleppy.ab
Ellegarden
The Hiatus
Noanowa
[Champagne]
Asian Kung-Fu Generation
きのこ帝国
Galileo Galilei
Spangle Call Lilli Line
ハルカトミユキ
Flumpool
Toe (post rock band and mannn they're so amazing!)
The Milky Tangerine
School Food Punishment
Plenty
Lillies and Remains
Spyair
Androp
STRAIGHTENER
Man With A Mission
Back-On

There's so many other bands I can mention, but I think this is enough! If you want to see related bands similar to the bands I've listed, just go to Last.fm (unless you already know about this site then nvm lol) type in one of these bands and it will list similar bands.

agreed. some of the bands on that list made me scratch my head cause they're just not heavy at all. they might have the odd song that's a little on the heavier side, but give them a chance and try a bunch of different songs
The thing is that a lot of these groups have "soft" and "hard" music, and most of the "rock" groups I'd recommend are Visual Kei.

Some of the groups you mentioned have some lighter songs too, like Versailles.

Not totally sure on your tastes but here's a small selection. Some groups have a variety from hard to soft, some are more popish, etc.

These bands tends to sound a bit "western" for my ears. Much more ballads than rockers on their playlists too: No Regret Life Spitz Mr. Children Triplane Oldies but goodies: Zard T-Bolan
Thank you or all you replies this helped me A lot, i ound some really good bands. But keep posting in case people have the same problem as me. AND I realised that the problem with other j-rock bands or me was not the heavy music but the heavy voices o the sigers. I luuuv one ok rock and spyair because Ike and Taka have really clear voices, and that's the kind o voices i like :) You you know singers with that kind o voice, please let me know. I'm very thankull :)
When it comes to clear voices:

i think the heaviest thing is their voice, i just don't like they deeep voices :)

Just steer away from Gackt, Dir En Grey, Nega, Heath, etc. and you should be good. Haha

Janne Da Arc is awesome. They also have a very high level of proficiency with their instruments.
EXILE is pretty good I love their song I Wish
