Though your theory, that HwaYong killed her sister in Joseon... it seems a little... I don't know (not that I don't agree with you... I want to agree with you...)... but I can't pin the motive... why? She had everything... and the sister could do NOTHING to break her happiness with the king, unless she was a real psycho and killed her sister for talking to the king...
I think there might be the following motives:
1. BooYoung found out that HwaYoung is not the real daughter of their father (if my this theory is true, of course) and threatened (why? she's the good girl) HwaYoung to expose the truth, or just HwaYoung found out that BooYoung knows the truth and killed her being afraid she'd expose her secret...
2. Has anyone wondered that we have NOT seen TaeMu in past life? If LeeKak's theory is true, than, what if the queen had a lover??? And what if the same situation as on the yacht, after being discovered by BooYoung the couple panicked, and Tae-Mu's past life person hit her...and she fell into the pond...
I love it that this drama makes me think, think and think (feeling like Sherlock... haha~)

I've actually been thinking all of the above. We've seen how paranoid, psycho, jealous, envious Se Na is of everything. Maybe she also didn't like the idea that Lee Gak might have taken BY as a consort (?)...True her face was ruined, but he sure enjoyed Boo Young's company to the point of almost ignoring HwaYong. And I was just thinking of Tae Mu not being shown either in Joseon.

Maybe she (HwaYong) kills her sister (her arch-nemesis *snorts*) and that way she can:
1) make sure BY doesn't get anything and Lee Gak can't make her a consort. I mean, she probably didn't want him anymore, but the BY couldn't have him either. It's totally rational for her to do that. (We all know she's cuckoo in the head)

2) people will think she's (HY) dead (they will think Boo Young probably did it out of jealousy and disappeared after she committed the crime, since she won't be found because she's dead) and she'll have freedom from the palace life and can go off into the sunset with her lover.

I agree...Tae Moo is totally worthy of her. I mean, he could have avenged himself by telling the CEO mom that he found her daughter and SeNa would have been..more crazy with jealousy...but he decided to cut a deal with the crazy witch....Really Tae Moo...-_-; They deserve each other. But yeah, it will be totally embarrassing (for them) and amusing (for us) when their plan, which would have been perfect if it weren't for the fact that SeNa is also her daughter and she knows it, blows up in their faces. I swear if that doesn't happen and she just accepts her....I will need to have a little chat with the writers of the show... (Eh...did you forget what you wrote in *insert episode # here* because The viewers didn't...)


And the grandma...Every time that old woman appears, I just wanna do bad things to her, like sew her mouth closed, so she actually listens when people are trying to freaking say something!
