‘Rooftop Prince’ heroine Han Ji Min talks about her flower boy co-stars

Actress Han Ji Min has hit the jackpot by scoring the main female role on SBS‘s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama, ‘Rooftop Prince‘! The actress will be surrounded by four flower boy co-stars, one of which being JYJ‘s Yoochun.

Han Ji Min expressed, “[I]No matter what we film, it’s a fun experience to film with these cool people. Usually, I work with just with one or two actors; this time, I’m with four flower boy actors. I feel like I received a lot of luck.”

She continued, “Yoochun comes and gives encouragement before the other male actors; he always makes the filming atmosphere comfortable, which in turn makes the set fun. We’re having fun filming.”

As for the story, Han Ji Min explained that it’s an ”emotional melodrama with comedic elements. It’s important for the five actors to match and have a feeling where they understand each other well.”

‘Rooftop Prince’ follows the story of a Crown Prince (Yoochun) who lost his Princess — he’s transported 300 years into the future with his royal entourage (Jung Suk Won, Lee Min Ho, Choi Woo Shik), where he finds a girl who looks just like his beloved princess.

‘Rooftop Prince’ will air after ‘Take Care of Us, Captain‘ concludes in March.

Gah...I just don't know about this. Look how happy Han Ji Min looks. It's not that I don't like Yoo Chun. I actually really liked SungKyunKwan and I liked HIM in it. I might give this a try. I feel like I am so behind in watching all the dramas that interest me. Like I will never catch up.

i'll definitely be watching this...the story seems to be amazing...i think the new dramas are quite interesting....love rain and king2hearts and also full house 2...can't wait for them to start.....no min woo , jang guen suk and lee seung ki and now we have micky...i'm soooo excited

Having said that, I like Han Ji Min. I've seen her act in 3 dramas now...maybe one more, I can't recall but she's impressed me every time. This drama is firmly planted in the wait and see category for me.


I'm never gonna watch Miss Ripley too--ever. Zero interest.

And yes, it really is shallow...but it's so darn funny?! bahhahahahahahahahahhaha I can't stop laughing!

Expectations of staffs toward ?Rooftop Prince? Park Yoochun are tremendously high.

Park Yoochun, who is casted as the Crown Prince Lee Gak, responded ?Thank you for perceiving another part of me? to the writer Lee Heemyung who has stated he ?is certain [Yoochun] will portray charismatic Crown Prince very well.?




Park Yoochun analyzed the character by saying ?I am preparing to show solemnity and charisma naturally instead of showing them forcefully through shouting. I hope the writer would love the charisma that will radiate naturally as the episodes proceed.?
He has also stated ?The script is very interesting. I read the third episode early in the morning. It was really funny and woke me right up. Although I feel some pressure due to many delicate elements, I believe the writer trusts me and wrote them and I am studying them with a concentrated interest.?

He also mentioned about the shooting for the title at Euljiro: ?I was extremely embarrassed when I got out of the car wearing the royal robe. I tried my best not to feel embarrassed. I thought I would become more lunatic than how I have acted if I?ve actually fell in the middle of Myeongdong from Joseon Dynasty. I felt ?I? [the character] would feel awkward as I concentrated with these emotions. This will help me a lot when I act in future.?

Staffs praise Park Yoochun as well. The producer Ahn Gilho said ?Park Yoochun keeps the balance of the drama very well. He already became the Crown Prince and radiates the royal aurora.?

?The Rooftop Prince? will be aired in the mid-March.

Hmmmh reminds me of his role in Sungkyunkwan scandal, good drama, but there where many better characters than Micky's role :o well I cheer for Micky the most because of Dong bang shin ki ^^ his acting skills aren't that great though

I somewhat agree. I like him in SKKS, though there are times I wish he could loosen up (maybe it's just his character). However, overall I enjoyed SKKS for the different characters that bonded together.
