Make a list of the best dramas set in wars or dangerous situations. I remembered posting this since Descendants of the Sun in airing ,so I tought , you guys could write about your favorite dramas set in those type of situations ;))

Six flying dragons is only for me
If you like Descendant of the Sun, a romance drama set against the backdrop of war & other crisis situations, then you might also like Too Late to Say I Love You and Cruel Romance. There isn't an actual war going on in CR, but it's set in 1930s Shanghai during the Japanese occupation of China. There is a tense atmosphere throughout the drama because war could break out at any time.

Please note that the war and crisis situations are just used as a backdrop, not as a character in its own right. If you're looking for dramas where war itself lies at the centre and romance falls to the wayside, these dramas do not fit that bill. These are essentially romance dramas set in times of war.
Queen Seon Deok was a pretty good one. That's the only one I can think of off the top of my head.
@94loveKdrama I have that one-hold,but I'll watch it soon .Thanks :)

@PrettyCarEye Yes ,I know! I only gave the example of the descendants of the sun , since it was the one that inspired me to ask this here ,in fact ,I'm not very fond of the drama.
But you did hit eyeball. I'm looking for dramas set in war periods ,where the main story is about the war itself. Sorry if I wrote in a way that didn't show my true intentions of what I was looking for :)

@fiflydramalover Thanks ! That's such a classic and I haven't watch it yet ! Gotta find time to do it ! :))
the only drama that i can think is Bridal Mask, and movie 71: into the fire..
In that case you might want to check out Battle of Changsha. I haven't watched it yet myself, but I've heard it's quite good & the battle of Changsha was a real historical event, one of the few battles China won against the Japanese back in the 1930s. I've been told the war itself lies at the centre of the drama (it's not just used as a backdrop), with family drama and a bit of romance on the side. But again, I can not attest 100% to this since I haven't seen it yet. Check out it for yourself.
@Anastasia Thank you ,but I already watch it hehe

@PrettyCarEye Thank you ! I'll check out soon. I really liked the actor in Love me if you dare ,so that's a plus haha
Comrades is legendary, portrayal of war told from military personnel's perspective. Seconding Battle of Changsha, this one is told from civilian's perspective. The other one is Road No.1, haven't watched it myself but it starred So Ji Sub and promised some romance as one of the focal point, you might want to check. Also Saka no Ue no Kumo, I believe is told from political perspective (haven't watched it tho).
1- Jumong
2- Queen Seon Duk
3- Empress Ki
4- Six Flying Dragons
@bossmama thank you so much! They all seem great ! I have never heard of Road No. 1 or Saka no Ue no Kumo .I'll ckeck them out soon hehe
