I was kind of rooting for Taecyeon's character the whole time, though... probably the only thing in the drama I wasn't a fan of was how it totally seemed like they were setting up Taec as the lead male for the entire first half, and then suddenly switched to Kim Soo Hyun/Song Sam Dong instead.

yea, i got the feeling that this pairing was NOT the original intent.
Overall I did really enjoy Dream High (especially Pil Suk and Jason!) but I didn't like the ending at all. It was too open for me, you didn't get to see if they really did wind up together at the end. I thought it was a good drama, but not the best nor amazing. The soundtrack was really nice though! (: And the cast was good, too.

This is the first korean drama I'm watching and it is because I have a big crush on Bae Suzy and want to see how she fares as an actress. So far I'm very pleased but there is something I'm wondering about this show. Why is it that even when they are indoors you can see peoples breath (because of the cold)? I don't know much about Korea (including the weather there) or how big budget this show had, but even when they are in Kang's (or what his name is) apartment a few times this happens. I'm just curious if they shot this show on really poor budget and didn't even heat up the locations or if this is a common thing.
@C4U: I loved the kiss scene with Taec, even if it was a little awkward. And like darkangel said, **I felt cheated because I was SURE he was the main lead, I was rooting for him all the way, and then.... BOOM! Not cool writers! But still, at the same time it was awesome because it wasn't something I was expecting**

Well Korea's weather is template. Which means that it has the same 4 seasons than the American one. When Dream High was filmed, it was the coldest part of the winter, so it's pretty understandable that you could see their breath. Besides, most sets are open. Like the house, from what I remember, has a lot of windows and glass so it's not much protection against the cold. Same thing goes for the school :)
it's common enough that i'm not surprised by it, of course now i'm drawing a total blank trying to think of other dramas with that issue. i know the moon that embraces the sun was big budget and those poor people looked like idol-cicles. half the behind the sceens photos i've seen from that are the cast burried in blankets snuggling together for warmth. the school appeared to me to be a warehouse with set dressing. that would be impossible to heat. also alot of the interior shots looked to be sets that were probably built in some kind of warehouse, which again, really hard to heat. i watch eatyourkimchi, which is two canadians living in korea and they complain about the cold from time to time. if people from canada think it's cold then it REALLY freakin cold.
Yeah, I am from Sweden myself and we have pretty cold weather from time to time but indoors, even with windows open in the middle of the winter, usually you still can't see ones breath the way in some of these scenes. But it makes sense what you are saying, I realize heating up a warehouse would be a serious waste of money. If the apartment scenes are studio then that makes sense too, can't believe I automatically assumed it was real location. Guess it looked really genuine. :P
I just saw this on Tumblr and I loved it! :)

Pil Suk and Jason are what really makes this drama worth watching, for me
ive been in a drama slump for maybe a month now and finally decided to give this a try. it started out slow since suzy character took me awhile to like but it got to me really really quick and finished this in 3 days. my favorites in this drama was kim soo hyun and IU kim soo hyun made me cry so much, just his expression alone broke my heart and IU .... everytime she comes on she makes me giggle inside, she was just too cute and adorkable i really like the fact that it kept me guessing, you can see how the characters develope thruough the show and how what you think in the beginning does not come out to be how you predict it to be i notice how some ppl didnt like the ending however i for one loved it. It showed how everyone ends up and how everything came to be. Although i do wish for more now that i'm finish with this drama i find myself in a problem ... i cant stop singing the songs in this drama and i cant stop my brain from replaying scenes in my mind @_@
I'm so glad to have watched this drama. Great story, good music and I liked the cast as well.
But... there is one small matter that is really bugging me to no end. So Kirin students go on a trip to Japan (ep.10) and Song Sam Dong becomes a friend with one member of Dreamers- Ken was it.

I'm presuming he is Japanese actor (kind of looks familiar) and I have been looking for his name but couldn’t find it. Maybe someone knows, please?
The cast is adorable, love they <3
