oh my god 1 million stars was THE DRAMA that got me hooked forever. nothing has had quite the same effect on me since. i was appalled at myself for not seeing it coming haha.  i probably wont watch the remake but its definitely worthy of one!

I understand how you feel. I definitely will not be able to watch the remake. Thriller plot twists rarely surprise but this drama definitely did. One of the best dramas ive seen ever.

maybe people will watch the remake and understand why i raved about the original so much. it was a bit dated looking even back then and no one listened to me. im glad its getting attention.

side note... i just saw theyre remaking the movie ima ai ni yukimasu with so ji sub.

Yup. It does have the dated look but man even that actually adds to my love for that drama. About the remake, i do hope some people will learn to appreciate the drama then maybe check out the original because ot was perfection.

But i am wary about this remake, mainly because korean dramas usually tend tp over romanticize scenes and interactions. And i really dont want this remake to lose the the gritty-ness, dirtiness, darkness in all it epic perfection that was in the original.

.. and yup saw some posters for that movie with Son Yejin. I was planning to watch that jdrama, but i cant seem to find that time. Have you seen both the movie and series? Which do you recommend i should watch first?

i liked it how it was then as well, but some people couldnt get over it back then it would be even harder for them now hah.

i cant recall if ive seen ima ai ni the movie, ive definitely watched the series tho, i think the movie probably covers most of it, and if you want more then watch the drama...

another one from around that time that tripped me out quite a bit was kou kou kyoushi (the one w/ueto aya)... ok to be honest i dont remember it all that clearly, it just left some sort of feeling behind haha. but narimiya hiroki has this  crazy character... its a little overblown but left me shook in the end too. actually most of the characters are crazy here.  apparently the  1993 series was much darker also. havent seen that one tho.

Reply 1998 for me definitely, still can't believe how much it shocked me even now.  Still shook by how Duk Seon ends up with Taek and not Jung Hwan (even though it happened in real life). What I loved is that from the start they made it seem like she would and tbh I was rooting for Jung Hwan more, so I personally think it was very clever of them.

Black!! a very weird drama lol

Stopped watching Shut Up Flower Boy Band after the shocking moment occurred at the end of the 2nd episode. Enough time has passed now, maybe I will try watching the rest of the show.

You knew something was going to happen though as he is only credited as a supporting actor. It was the fact that it was so sudden with no warning. Watch the rest of the show though ... i loved it and think Sung Joon did a brilliant job

I'm usually pretty good at working out dramas and knowing what could happen but BLACK really got me. Great drama although the ending sucked a bit

49 Days had a really shocking plot twist. I've seen it more than 5 years ago and I'm still not over it
