I like it so far, but it seems as if some fans are a little disappointed Fashion King's score on its MDL page dropped a little. ;)

Ditto.

I find it very odd that this drama even has a score since it has only aired 2 episodes. But that is MDL for you. people love to rate, review and recommend dramas before they even air. Probably because Yoo Ah In is starring in this and he has fangirlies.

Pet peeve of my life. How can you rate or review before something even airs for you to know if it is good or bad? This drama shouldn't even have a rating yet. I'm waiting for the first review to pop up any time now.

Exactly my sentiment. If you are so happy with a drama that you want to share you fluffy-puffy feelings you can either join a discussion or leave a comment. Just have a look at Skip Beat's MDL page, the drama already has 11 (eleven!) reviews and it's still airing. ;)

Naw, I think we will get the first reviews halfway-through the series. :p And in a way it's even entertaining... cough.

Btw, I had my troubles recognizing Yuri, who happens to be my favourite member of SNSD. She looks a little different in the drama than she normally does.
And a hurray for the ladies' dresses. Big, green, looks like a peacock - welcome in the fashion world. ;)

LOL fluffy puffy feelings.... LOL Doesn't Skip Beat have reviews after only one or two of the eps aired? Fashion King could very well go the same way.

I was actually surprised how much I liked Yoo Ah In's character. He's a big softy. Spoiler When he gave her the money for her plane ticket that was the sweetest thing ever. I am looking forward to episode 2 being available! end...

Who is Yuri in this? episode 2? I haven't seen it yet.

Yep, Skip Beat does.

That scene was pretty sweet - I like her character a little, she appears to be a little random. Oh well, there's a bed in a normally decorated room, let's sleep in it. :)
The story reminds me a little of Cinderella Man (with Yoona and Kwon Sang Woo).

No, she wasn't in episode one as far as I know, ;), I was talking about the teaser and trailers and also had a little glimpse at some fanmade video.

They subbed episode one quite quickly, hope they hurry up with episode two!
I just saw the first episode somewhere while looking for another series and I'm itching to watch it, but I will control the urges...lol
Episode 2 was good. I will keep watching. But I think I will totally give up on the hope that a Kdrama will ever cast a decent American bit player. I swear we aren't all racist, mean, loud and stupid. (some of us, yes...but not all damn it!)
okay :) I like this one

I am amending this to say "I will keep watching...for now" Episode 2 was entertaining but there are some things that feel rushed and not quite believable as a part of the set up of angst and plot holes that get our players into position.

My score so far on the 1st episodes of the four dramas airing this week: King 2 Hearts is currently the winner. I'm going to watch episode 2 of Rooftop Prince when it's all subbed. Just goes to show how beginning episodes / first impressions are important.
I started watching this yesterday, the first episode was good, the second episode was alright but I agree with you Jeanie - some things felt rushed and I'm still confused as to how he actually got onto the boat (or maybe I just somehow skipped seeing that part). And I think I've given up hope on seeing a decent English speaking actor/ess in any Kdrama (or Jdrama), too. They were in New York...and the acting was terrible. And there was a lot of English going on, too.

I'm curious enough to see how the rest of it will play out, I think it's going to get better. I hate that step mom (parent? person who took her in) or whoever she is. It's kind of giving me an almost Cinderella type feel.
4 eps. aired and subbed so far on DC...and it says "Currently Airing | Year: 2009" LMAO..just look at the year...most of the dramas have wrong year LOL

That's hilarious! Hahaha

I'm loving this drama more with each episode - I didn't even expect to like this drama but it's the one I'm looking forward to the most each week. I don't know why I started out watching it first and you'd think I'd be more excited for King2Hearts (which I am excited for), but I think it might also be cuz this drama isn't getting as much attention as the others. It starts off a bit boring/confusing but it drew me in from the first episode. The main characters are great - I'm loving Yoo Ah In but I'm also drawn to the actor playing Jae Hyuk. Ohh and the OST is good as well (:

I am totally hooked now...and didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I am. I am just hoping that these guys quit using Ga Young and she gets what is coming to her for her talent.
I didn't know this happened!

SPOILERISH
if you haven't seen episode 4

While filming in New York, a shooting was reported near the set of ‘Fashion King’

It was only recently revealed that a gun shooting took place at the same time the SBS ‘Fashion King‘ crew members were filming in New York.

The shooting that took place back on February 17th while the ‘Fashion King’ cast and crew members were in Brooklyn was even reported on the local news. Ironically at the time, ‘Fashion King’ was filming a scene where Ga Young, played by Shin Se Kyung, and Young Gul, played by Yoo Ah In, were being arrested by the police.

The dangerous incident took place a little after 9PM local time after their rehearsal for the scene came to an end. The news came from local police who were patroling the set along with the production team who said, “There is a shooting that took place right down the street from us and the suspect is still at large.”

Upon hearing the news, the actors and actresses were immediately escorted to safety and the shocked production team quickly gathered their equipment and safely left the scene, finally breathing a sigh of relief.

In related news, the arrest scene will be broadcasted on the 4th episode of ‘Fashion King‘.

Thankfully, none of the crew or cast members were hurt!

Me too!! And same! I'm hoping for that, too. And they need to figure out their feelings - especially Jae Hyuk
ITA...do they like her or not??? Even I'm confused. LOL
