Vol 2 Ch9 (Chapter 26) 风回处,寄珍重 The Returning Wind Carries Well-wishes

沁园春·送春 Qinyuan Spring - Send Spring

刘辰翁〔宋代〕Liu Chenweng (Song dynasty)

Translation [1]

Chunguang, are you going back? The wind and rain obscured the river, and the smoke and dust darkened the blue sky. Moreover, the Yanmen Pass is blocked and blocked, and the Longsha pile is empty and confused. In the east, Wu will be connected, and in the west, it will be connected with Qinchuan. The grass is continuous, covering Jindu; The falling flowers are colorful, and they are hidden in front of the road. Please live in Penglai, the fairy realm of square pots for a hundred years. Jiangnan is so beautiful, why don't you linger here?
Jiangnan is making people feel pity. I saw a long poplar flower, turned into white felt, stretching endlessly. I saw the rabbit sunflower oats, growing in the Huaqing Palace; wasp, pink butterfly wrapped around Ningbi pond. I have no home to go back to. Where do you return? On the way, I wandered endlessly, carried the precious Seven Treasure Whip*. When the wind comes back, it sends a message of cherishment . The two places miss each other, and shed tears.

(*): This refers to the scenery that is worth cherishing and lingering on

Bamboo Branch Song (Ⅶ)[II] by Liu Yuxi

From beach to beach the torrent splashes down its way;

It’s hard to sail in the Three Gorges since olden day.

But human heart is more dangerous than a whirlpool;

You may be drowned in it though it seems calm and cool.

【Notes】

(1) Weishui: Wei River, one of the main tributaries of the Yellow River. The source is Weiyuan, Gansu, through Shaanxi, east flow Tongguan, into the Yellow River. From the Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty, it is the main road of Caoyun in Guanzhong. Tang Jiadao's poem "Remembering Wu on the River": "The autumn wind gives birth to Weishui, and the fallen leaves are full of Chang'an."

(2) Light dust: that is, dust. Tang Wang Wei's poem "Sending Yuan Er Envoy Anxi": "The rain in Weicheng is light and dusty, and the guest house is green and willow-colored.

(3) Saddle: The horse on which the traveler travels.

(4) "Referring to Qingqing" two sentences: that is, folding willows to say goodbye. "Sanfu Huangtu" six "Bridge": "Baqiao is in the east of Chang'an, crosses the water as a bridge, and the Han people send guests to this bridge, and fold the willows to say goodbye."

(5) Gloomy: depressed and depressed. Liang Jiangyan of the Southern Dynasty "Farewell Fu": "Those who have lost their souls are just farewell."

(6) "More exhaustive" two sentences: from Wang Wei's poem "Sending Yuan Er Envoy Anxi" "Persuade the monarch to drink more wine, and there is no one in Yangguan in the west". Song Yique, when referring to the "Yangguan Three Stacks" composed for this poem.

(7) "Thousands of miles" sentence: The sentence from the Southern Dynasty Song Xie Zhuang's "Moon Fu": "The beauty is in the dust, and the moon is bright and bright across thousands of miles."

The grass on the side is vast and boundless, like the Weishui that has turned away, as if it is a whimper of farewell. The ten-mile long pavilion in the early morning, the spring rain is at the beginning of the break, and the air is fresh. The pommel horse has already set off with its hooves raised, and a verdant willow is broken off as a farewell. It's not sentimental, I really don't know when we will be able to meet. At this moment, it is worth a thousand gold, drink one more glass of wine, and sing a song to cherish other songs. Alas, life! The hardest thing is to get together with friends, and the easiest is to leave relatives. Don't shirk getting drunk, let's go on the road after listening to this "Yang guan Song". After that, I will convey to you the nostalgia of the bright moon shining thousands of miles away.

【General Case】 Wang Wei's "Sending Yuan Er Envoy Anxi" sang how much he regretted others. Kou Zhun's poem "Yang Guan Yin" melts Wang Wei's poetry, which is deeply rooted in his divine sense, and it comes out in the form of words, which has more charm. If you compare the two, you will find that the time, place, and theme are similar, but the difference is that Kou Zhun's words have a stronger subjective color, a more imaginative mood, and do not hide his emotions. The scenery outside the plug, the sound of Weishui, the rain in the spring dynasty, the green willows, the poetry and wine, and even the sigh of life, etc., are all dyed with the color of parting love and hatred. This is the biggest artistic feature of this poem.
