So I finally watched it, and I have to agree with you guys. The movie was quite mediocre in my opinion. Despite its quality, however, it still managed to make me cry my heart out. It's not even the fact that it's the last movie (although that contributed to my tears too), but there were four particular scenes that caused me to cry.
1) Snape's death. When it happened, my whole entire body was taken over with sobs so I couldn't stop trembling. I was crying so much and so loud, I'm pretty sure the whole theater heard me.
2) Snape crying while holding Lily's dead body. The woman he loved nearly his whole life, dead, and he feels like it's his fault.
3) Fred's death. Need I say more?
4) George turning around, Fred's name on his lips, ready to tell him something, only to realize that he isn't there anymore. I don't think a lot of people noticed this scene (it happens after Harry jumps out of Hagrid's arms and shows everyone that he's not really dead), but I did and it killed me. It felt like it was raining on my face, it was so wet and my tears were blurring my vision and I had trouble breathing and goodness...that scene broke my heart.
And was I the only person who clapped when Neville Freaking Longbottom first showed up on the screen? I guess you have to read the books to know why everyone loves him so, but I've always liked him and I'm so happy with the fact that he ended up with Luna; I've always wanted them to end up together XD Harry and Ginny still have no chemistry and are awkward as ever, but Ron and Hermione were So. Freaking. Cute. My favorite scene in the movie, quite possibly even in all the movies, was not their kiss but when the trio was in the Room of Requirement and Goyle used Avada Kedavra against Hermione but she dodged it and Ron ran after him yelling, "That's my girlfriend, you numpties!" Goodness, I loved that scene. The 19-Years-Later epilogue was so chessy, I almost cringed while watching but otherwise, I think I'm going to be in a Harry Potter slump for a while (which means no dramas for the next week or so, and I've already been neglecting them as it is).
