Hi everyone! I'm on the lookout for some family-oriented and/or Slice-of-Life Asian dramas (preferably Korean or Chinese) and would love some recommendations. I'm interested in stories with rich family dynamics, historical settings, and strong character development. Bonus points if the FL can scheme.

Chinese:
Story of Ming Lan
Sword of Brocade
Love Like the Galaxy
Story of Yanxi Palace (I am okay with harem dramas/multiple wives)
Empresses in the Palace
Korean:
Jewel in the Palace (mentor/found family themes count)
Dong Yi
Under the Queen’s Umbrella
Some dramas I didn’t quite enjoy include:
Destined (felt cheap, dialogue and monologues were awkward)
Princess Weiyoung (got repetitive fast, though I loved the scheming characters)
