May I have more recommendations please?

OMG! Just finished watching Romance of Tiger and Rose and was completely blown away. Love love love it!

He actually said she was his oxygen! Can’t live without her! So in love with the male lead! ❤️

So happy you enjoyed it! I thought not only does the hero fit this thread as he fell madly in love with the heroine/never pushed her away for any reason, the drama overall is well executed and has a decent script.

Now it's going to be really hard to find good/well-scripted dramas with heroes like Han Shuo (Tiger and Rose), Li Cheng Yin (Goodbye My Princess), and Ye Hua (Ten Miles). I fell in love with all three because they all share the most important traits: Powerful, intelligent, and upon falling hard for the heroine, never committed noble idiocy and could never let them go for any reason. They're all really attractive with the best eye gazes (esp. when looking at the heroine) and are relentless/aggressive when it comes to pursuing their beloved too, lol!

You should give the drama Black a try.  The hero is a grim reaper who ultimately falls hard for the heroine.  Also perhaps The Greatest Love.  It's a romantic comedy but the hero really pursues the heroine--the heroine was part of an idol girl group and the hero had a heart surgery during which the surgeon played one of the group's songs.  Years later he encounters the heroine and finds that his heart beats faster when he hears the song and when he is around her and over time he associates her with his heart (I'm probably describing this awfully--just give it a try).  Off the top of my head I would also recommend Lady and Liar--the hero falls for the heroine  right away.  She rebuffs him but when she loses her memory in an accident he goes through considerable lengths to keep up a story that before her accident  they were engaged.  Hope this helps!

IKR! I hate it when they do that noble idiocy thing! It completely ruins any drama for me and I just stop watching because it irritates me so much!

You are so right about the way they look at their heroines. There was so much love and adoration in their eyes! Han Shuo loves her so much that he literally gave up everything for Qianqian! Oh my heart! And wasn’t it a blast watching it! Its really funny! And the way Han Shuo was the one who made excuses for her behavior made me laugh out loud and adore him even more! ?

I have to say I really love your recs Jess, thanks again! You’re the one who recommended to me Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms (my number one fave of all) and now this which is now in my top 5. Thanks again! We really have the same taste in dramas. I hope you can recommend some more! ??????

Thanks so much for the recs, I already watched The Greatest Love and liked it too! I will try the others. Thanks so much

I think Love & Redemption may fit the bill. H is immensely powerful & literally follows her through multiple lifetimes because his love is too deep for him to stay away. He keeps going for her despite knowing there is a good chance it will cost him his life.

Thank you so much! I actually just finished watching it! It seems to be the most talked about series, it really is very good! I just wished for a little more passionate scenes though! LOL

I'm glad you enjoyed it too! Yeah I agree, for their love to be this deep & his obsession this strong, they should've had more passionate encounters. I think we have been spoiled by these Chinese shows with all their fluffy, lovey-dovey OTPs, sigh! I heard there are rumors of a season 2 but seems unlikely given the high profile cast. Which is your fav show with this trope btw?

For me Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms will always be number 1! Nothing can still come close when it comes to this trope! LOL

I just finished watching Go Ahead chinese drama and I totally loved it! Though it is a family drama (and I usually stay away from those) but it is also very romance heavy. The ML here is so in love with the FL.

Spoilers:

He got sick when he parted with the FL (you have to watch it to know the circumstances) though the FL didnt love him at that time. When they were reunited, the ML went all out to chase the FL and I really felt that he will go insane if he loses the FL.

I recommend this drama for those who love this trope

Cannot agree with you more! Yehua is one of my top Hs! I'm obsessed with the novel too....got a translated hard copy for my collection!

Oh really? There are 46 epis of Go ahead, can you tell me where the couple's story starts? I imagine because it is a family drama there is a lot more going on plot-wise.

Its actually just 40 eps if you watch online. I really recommended that you watch it from the start so to understand their backstories. I honestly dont like family dramas because I heavily prefer pure romance if possible. However, I saw clips of how the ML kisses the FL on youtube and they looked so passionate, (because for me if the ML is very much in love, he would always want to touch and kiss his girl, he would find excuses to corner her if possible HEHEHE) so I decided to just start with episode 1 and then just skip episodes. But I was completely blown away about the drama, it was really very well made. It has a score of 9.1 here on dramalist (the same as TMOPB). Oh and did I mention that its a comedy too. LOL so many funny moments!

Basically, they grew up as a family but have absolutely no blood tie, the ML was in love with the FL since high school, but the FL just sees him as a brother. The ML had to go abroad and was separated from the FL for 9 years (you will see why) but he longed for her all that time. Some might even say his fixation isn’t healthy anymore because the FL is his life, everything he did revolved around her.

If you want to know, they will be reunited in ep 12

THE KING ETERNAL MONARCH

MY LOVE EUN DONG

Jesse4163, because of your long post about Goodbye my Princess, I'll definitely watch it! Your post made me now very interested... prior to your post, I was not so interested. Reading about the plot it says that the ML has already a favorite concubine, so I thought he would be more in love with her than the FL..but guess not? Which is great IMO. anyways, I'll definitely watch it after finishing Love and Redemption... ofc, the director's cut ^^

Hi, try "the Romance of Hua Rong". Confident, competent ML pirate who pursues sassy FL- his Runaway bride.
