Gosh I love this type of story! Either where the lead is physically or mentally more capable than they pretend to be. The ones above are really great, especially Healer and Alchemy of souls, and I'm taking note of the ones above I haven't watched.

Ever Night fits the bill (be aware the season 2 has a new actor playing the lead but the story has a conclusion).

You probably weren't looking for an anime but Irregular at Magic High school fits that category imo.
