insideout91:
isn't major advantage of MDL is fan activity?
Many people appreciate accurate data. This is a bit like a wikipedia with social engagement-the pages need to give accurate information for this to be treated with some basic respect beyond just fans (since plenty of other sites come here to get info then go down various rabbit holes of info)... Granted, some of the articles here are a bit overly biased/not appropriately translating the tone of the news the info's gained from, but most try to stay accurate. For a while Kdramas (bc of a Chinese boycott of Korean everything) on the 3 public networks had to split their dramas into twice as many episodes in order to show TV commercials which SK doesn't allow during the episode air time... It was a loophole, sure, but we show those programs as having 32 half hour eps vs 16 hour long ones, for instance. Sure, fans writing in English far from SK don't get impacted by it (same goes for little webseries that get combined into 1 file as a "movie" even though the content is the same-they get 2 versions because that's how they're rolled out, as separate titles). We don't make the rules for each nation. We simply reflect them in what we list shows as here (in this case it was an unusual 27+29 IIRC? It was a couple of days ago when I looked at the links).
insideout91:many commentators doesn't know which page they should comments
People WON'T do the "should" part here very much, but people are oftentimes commenting episode-specific things that naturally get SO out of order it proves the misuse, so to speak, and is useless for future readers who don't watch this or that when it airs. We have Episode Guides and Episode Reviews exist for that... we ALSO have DISCUSSION board posts. If you're on episode 18, your post should have a title indicating your comment goes up TO ep 18 so people don't click one that spoils the show... if you're on 41, it'd go on the page that the 41st episode which I guess is part 2 episode... 14 unless I had the title ep totals wrong from the Chinese link I glanced at (I can't read it so I relied on what might be faultily translated).
Volunteer staff have answered-regular users have ZERO input against them in general when the sides have conflicting views, even in cases where the regular non-staffer is more accurate which isn't even the case here. You're hijacking a page about deleting pages that are empty or actual duplicates (exact ones to the air dates) etc... Look at Arthdal Chronicles Season 1... it had parts 1, 2, and 3... People commenting on something that happened in part 2 put their comments there. General comments of praise or scorn over the whole show, all seasons, go on the first or last, first if you want to impact people's viewing habits, last if you just want to give a post-viewing reaction to share with others. It's still INFINITELY better for your "whole show" reaction to be a review so it doesn't get buried and for comments specific about this or that phase of a show to go in the discussion board or specific episode comments to be episode reviews which tend to be short, concise, and rather helpful in the few cases I've read through them. Fighting volunteers is your business, but I'll say from experience if you have someone telling you firmly "no" (I had that experience with Pachinko, firm no only for it to be put up here a couple of days later), you'll honestly just be wearing yourself out. They have the authority, not you or me. Do 50k big whole page and new actor kinds of edits and cozy up with admins and volunteer staff and maybe your situation will change.

Please let this return to the simple "link" + reason. I really truly am annoyed with 8 notifications about this one issue multiple days in a row, but should I unfollow a thread because of your one pet peeve? It's pissing people off a bit. I'd rather not have my comment/post replies buried under this usually-calm, straightforward space's notifications. The reason I even follow the threads about deleting pages is because sometimes data needs to be moved over from one to the other and not all will transfer it (granted, I usually message Hessa or xxmai when I'm moving things over to be sure which page THEY want kept, that "know your mods" thing mentioned albeit a bit snarkily I confess).
