When the phone rings is adapted from the web novel “지금 거신 전화는" (The Number You Have Dialed) by 건어물녀 (Geon Eomul Nyeo)
There Is No Translated Version.

I posted this yesterday but the issue is... If you buy the novel you need a verified account on Kakao.
If your phone number is not from South Korea, there's no way to prove you're older than 19 and you only get access to the censored version.
If somebody has a solution, I'm all ears.
I want to read the UNCENSORED VERSION VERYYYYY BADLY RIGHT NOW, but because of it I can't.
I tried to look for the novel on Ridi and Mrblue on which I was able to verify my accounts years ago ( I don't remember how I did it but it involved contacting customer service in Korean and providing them with a passport. Took between 2 to 3 weeks to have my identity confirmed back then)... Unfortunately it seems it's really only available on Kakao.
If somebody has a solution or has found the original novel in its native language (i.e Korean), I'm all ears.
By the way, somebody also posted this link in the comment section:
When The Phone Rings – Moonlight Novels
This is an (illegal) translation of the novel in English... I haven't looked it up so I don't know if it's the uncensored version or not. I have a personal rule of never reading translations of novels which languages I'm learning or speaking so I won't read it but for those of you interested, here it is.
@Kannadin, I want badly to get my hands on the webnovel too that it took me to Kakaopage and I wanted to buy all chapters but faced the same issue as you.
Is there an uncensored version?? How is it different from the link below?

I then ventured to Weibo which led me to Baidu as some C-netizens were able to buy one manually translated to Chinese (not MTL). And they were freely sharing but I can't download as you need to have a China number to register for Baidu :(
I am waiting for someone to just upload an MTL version or Raw as it is easy to use google to translate the page. I can barely read Korean (though I studied a little). But agree with you, better to read in source language if you can.
Anyone who can download from Weibo/Baidu they are here, please share:

Hoping for anyone to do MTL version soon.
@ Scarlet Moira
So forget what I wrote below... I checked on Namuwiki and apparently there is no 19+ version... Which is good news. ( I'm still leaving everything just for information for people to know how it usually works in online publishing in South Korea).
I can't now, but I'm going to try BUYING the novels. Will repost here if it's done.

Ok I get where you're coming from as it's not necessarily obvious on that page. It's not indicated that this is a censored version.
I used this page instead: 지금 거신 전화는 [단행본] - 웹소설 | 카카오페이지
This page divides directly the story by books so it makes it clearer:
1. First link is a trial version, you can read it for free: I didn't bother because I can't read the books anyway... It's just torture.
2. The two following links are volume 1 and 2.
3. Last Link is an extra story.
Now if you look below, you'll see
"이 작가의 다른 작품 " : This writer's other works and "동일작 " : similar works
And you can the links leading to the "chapter by chapter" list. You can see there's a small round with "15" on the cover. If you click on those you access the link given by NothingggggH above.
Similarly on the "chapter by chapter list" if you look below you'll see the link I just posted with a "15" ( and -30% discount but just be warned seems like the promotion is only available if you rent the novels for 3 months not if you buy them - if it's possible... I tried to click and for some weird reasons could never get to a 소장 (possess i.e buy) only the 대여 ( to rent) version - I can read in Korean but I still need to look up quite a lot of words so renting is not an option. No time enough to finish the books).
The links leads you to the version I posted above.
If there's no age restriction there would be no age mentionned (from what I've seen it's always 15).
Somebody with a non verified account doesn't even get access to the 19+ version. Now if you look you can see that there's some books which don't have any covers with a 19+. I'm guessing these works don't have a censored version yet or cannot be censored because most of the story is full of SPICE lol.
But yeah, from experience, any number on a cover means the version is a censored one: Either there's no number or if it's here it means there's another version available...
Maybe Kakao works differently I don't know... BUT the webtoon version doesn't have a number "15" on the cover which makes me think it is a censored version.
I'm used to Ridi and Mr.blue, bought webtoons and novels there, and it's clearer, when you click on a link, and there's a censored version, the age restriction is still visible on the main page.
Again, I might be mistaken ... and Kakao works different... But frankly the first episode was so BURNINGLY HOT there's no way in my head the novel isn't HOTTER ( ahem).
If you speak Chinese, maybe it's available there:
This page is in traditional Chinese though. Gots lots of books there myself but I can't read them yet and it's still very difficult for me to navigate on chinese pages. I'm learning both Traditional and Simplified Chinese but it's my 6th language so... I'm currently at a level where it takes me about 1 hour to read a single sentence... IF the sentence isn't too long.
(Nothing like reading to improve one's language skill though. It's hard work but nothing can beat the result, so keep on practicing korean ^^)
Scarlett Moira:@Kannadin, thanks. Will wait for your good news. I tried haodoo but didn't find it. I made more searches somehow Shopee Taiwan is selling the novel MTL version txt. But again I cannot access. It costs almost $9 USD. Not so bad. But I'm not able to access without a TW number I suppose. Haha.
Well unfortunately no good news on my part. I tried to pay via the Kakao App.... BUT
Unfortunately we're back to the same problem. It's easy to create an account but if you want to buy the novels you do need either a Korean phone number or a Korean ID card ( or visa or whatever). I tried to identify myself via my own passport to see if they had a manual validation system... But the app crashed three times so I gave up.
From what I've seen, you can only pay with a phone or through Kakao bank or whatever so STILL THE SAME ISSUE. Even if you have Korean papers, if you don't have a Korean account ( let's say you're a Korean who's been living in Australia for years and you no longer have a Korean bank account, you're screwed). Freakingly uselessly complicated... You need to pay for the Kakao coin system whatever that's called ( they literally all do that now there, you can't pay directly, you need to pay for their internal currency.)
Ah... And the whole set cost 7800 wons which is a mere 5.31€ ( I'm living in Europe so in dollars currently that's $5.56)... Which is also why you should always stick to the original version when you speak or when you're learning the language so that you don't have to pay for the additional cost of the translation. Books in South Korea, whether in paper or online versions are extremely cheap compared to the prices we have in France (US books are cheaper and you also have better discount - there's a law for books in France that prevents books from having discounts higher than 5% and paper books bought on online shops cannot have such discounts either - but still in comparison is still way cheaper [I'm disgressing here but mangas in the US are ridiculously expensive compared to prices in Europe though])
Also there's no premade set for the whole package so if you want both novels + the extra, you have to buy them individually.
ANYWAY, Bottom line I failed...
I'm sure there's a solution somewhere by contacting directly customer service but that would require several exchanges in Korean and while I have a fairly good level in terms of oral and written comprehension... Expressing myself in the language is a whole other beast... So if we don't manage to get our hands on these by the end of the series... I might take some time during Christmas Holidays to look for a solution and directly contact them... But for now... I consider myself defeated, I just don't have the time to type messages in Korean since I'd have to look up the words.
Guys, found it!!!
Someone was able to download the Chinese file circulating in Weibo:
https://quickshare.samsungcloud.com/9mtpHKqMke97
It's in Chinese but can MTL for English!
Enjoy! :D
