let's just be real watching romance kdrama for plot is dumb. there are very rarely any good ones. they only become popu;ar becoz of chemistry which was the main selling point of this drama as well. plot is just to increase the no. of eps. idk why you were expecting plot from a romance kdrama, it was pretty evident from the start where this drama was going. 

Yeah, I get your point. But there are some really mature romance dramas with good plot, dialogue and performances. Anything that is massively popular will attract people who like those types of romance stories too... and they will get disappointed with the story.

For me personally, I knew this was a soap opera after watching episode 1... yet I liked the leads enough to keep watching. The plot holes and tropes didn't bother me as much bcz I thought they were hilarious (all the suggestive situations, the cheesy dialogues), episode 12 excluded.

I don't think ppl would comment that much if the show wasn't this hyped or the leads were bad... we just see a missed potential for a different, more grounded approach with the same premise.

Note: I'm not calling YOU out particularly, but yours was one of the latest post that I saw on this thread, and hence using it as a reference. But this note is for all ~ people can have different views, and just because it may not align with your own views/likes or dislikes does not mean that they are wrong. Hope we all can be understanding and not take it personally. 

MDL is an open forum - if you do not agree with the OP's thoughts, this thread is not mandatory to be read or taken action upon. You can simply skip/ignore it. Disagreement is one thing -but this is more on the lines of forcing someone to admit that they are wrong & that everyone should agree this drama is "not bad/trash" etc is another thing. IF one can see a thread titled this way and you disagree with it - simply scroll past, OR even if you are here - have a healthy discussion, presenting the points you disagree with in a better manner with some sound logic. Rather than just saying that you felt the "TRASH" statement was just WILD, "what more do people want", "were these people watching the same drama or something else"

Not Expect to Disagree with you - Be FR: Well, it works both ways.  

Admit - that you do not agree with the views and either move on or give a sound disagreement statement rather than forcing views on others. And it works both ways - the ones who did not like the drama should also not try to convince those who likes it.

Drama land is a big place - and both opinions can co-exist. ✌🏼🕊️☮️

• Does this mean ANY romance k-dramas that has a good plot along with good mystery or any other element/theme is dumb?
• Was ~ Strong Woman Do Bong Soon Dumb? Cause that had good romance, iconic chemistry and equally delivered on the mystery/thriller/crime aspect. 
• Was ~ Mr Queen Dumb? Cause it had enemies-to-lovers romance (similar to WTPR), historical, action, comedy, mystery, time-slip/travel elements. 
• Was ~ A Business Proposal dumb? Cause it had fire chemistry, workplace elements, chaebol drama. 

Just took a few names - but if we go by the person's definition "let's just be real watching romance kdrama for plot is dumb" all these dramas' watchers are labelled DUMB. It will be really ironical if anyone saying this statement actually goes ahead and loves these dramas which had romance at the center but were enjoyed equally for the other themes they had in parallel. (Unless you also call yourself Dumb)

Drama is enjoyed differently by all ~ some like a certain aspect of it, or some like to look at all themes/elements. The sooner we realize and accept would be good - it will make MDL are a more enjoyable place for a healthy discussion rather than just arguing with people.  ✌🏼🕊️☮️

The whole point I am trying to make is - as you have said here:

1. ppl are gonna come for you bro: WHY, OH WHY?
   Why do people have to get triggered at the word trash?
   Why and where are "they" coming?
   Why take it so personally?
   Does someone calling a drama trash - make it trash?
   Does it diminish the love it has received so far by the people who love it?
   Does it affect the cast and crew in some manner?
   
   then why can't we just agree to disagree with opposing views and be respectful?
   why only this behavior of "coming at someone" when someone's view is different and negative than your own?
   
   if one can be mature and love a comment that praises a drama - learn to deal with the other side of it also, without taking the remarks personally. 
   
   Calling something trash does not make it so - so then why are you pissed in the first place? 
    
2. If you are saying it is a shitty choice of word "trash",  can you 100% guarantee that "no one will come at each other" as you have put it ~  if it is called bad, not up to the mark, unimpressive etc. (tamer adjectives, maybe?)
   
   Am sure you cannot - because if you go through all the comments reviews and threads - these words too have had a similar outburst. I myself have been respectful week on week and said words along the lines of  "this drama is not for me as I am not relating to, I find it unimpressive, romance is not working for me " - without using any negative words/adjectives towards anyone- yet my DM has been filled with people calling "ME"- (a living breathing person like YOU) and my views "TRASH" 
   
   SO where and at what word should we draw the line?

See I agree with you mostly and at the same time I also agree that commenting "I didn't like this" will receive less hate than "this is trash/shit/garbage etc"
