Completed in 2021
Titles I completed in 2021, more or less in the order watched
-
1. Kon La Kop Fah
Thai Drama - 2016, 13 episodes
It has the propaganda typical of Thai dramas, but the story itself was easy to watch with a tight, fast-paced plot and emotional story. There's a bit too much tragedy, but the MC gets a HEA. Although it wasn't perfect, I'll definitely watch it again.

2. My Secret Bride
Thai Drama - 2019, 18 episodes
I followed Great to this drama and was happy to see him paired with Kao, who I'd first seen in Kom Faek. They were so cute together! Their story was really sweet, as was the second couple's plot. However, the supporting characters stole the show: Sia's craziness was palpable, and the uncle cop cried a river of snot tears in repentance.

3. My Forever Sunshine
Thai Drama - 2020, 19 episodes
I followed Kao to this drama and loved her pairing with Mark! Although it had many of the typical Thai romance tropes, I liked how Paeng and Arthit's romance was out of the ordinary. The rained-on wedding pretty much sums up how unique they are.
It wasn't perfect. There were bizarre music choices (America the Beautiful as mood music?!?), annoying characters, and too many plot holes surrounding her parents' deaths. But, it was very enjoyable and I'll surely watch it again.

4. One Smile Is Very Alluring
Chinese Movie - 2016
Rewatched
-
5. Persona
Korean Drama - 2019, 4 episodes
Series of 4 shorts. Some interesting, some tried too hard. Nothing truly special.
-
6. The Romance of Hua Rong Special
Chinese Special - 2020, 1 episode
I was happy I finally got to watch this, but it is was missing all the quirky charm of the series.
-
7. Run On
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
My husband and I watched it together. It was a very beautifully made drama, and the characters were actually interesting with their non-typical careers and personalities. But, some elements, like the movies-within-a-drama and the gay barista's plot line, didn't flow well and felt like filler. Overall, it was charming but messy.

8. Mad for Each Other
Korean Drama - 2021, 13 episodes
A very refreshing drama about two people with emotional problems due to past experiences and how they end up relying on each other to get through their issues. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
