Baby's first steps into Asian dramas

This was - if not the first K-drama series I watched altogether - the first I went into knowing about K-dramas. I adored it and the sense of heightened tension or straight-up melodrama.  Experiencing this show sent me spiraling into this fandom/vortex. I have a lot of catching up to do.

This was one of the first series I watched as an MDLer and I had forgotten all about it until @Size15FeetJames' post on sports web-series here on MDL. I got such a warm and fuzzy feeling upon seeing mention of it for the first time in years. Still, I can't actually remember a lot of the plot - which I am absolutely taking as an excuse to rewatch in the future.

My first C-drama! Darn you, CCP. I just wanted to see sweet, sweet Xu Weizhou happy and in love.

Suffice it to say this show put me off J-dramas for the longest time. Which leads us to...

I can pretty confidently say I have never been so emotionally damaged by a series like I just have been watching the last two episodes of this drama.

..this show, which was the complete opposite of C&V. Almost perfect but for the fact that - even as someone who likes a slow burn - found the first episode(s) a bit of a slog. It also single-handedly rewired my brain to be able to binge-watch. I literally just rolled credits but want to start it all other again right now or, at least, make it a personal Christmas tradition to watch it every festive period.

I don't care if I'm being baited, this is BL.
