Below is an on-going list of Dramas and Films that were produced either fully, or partly in Iwate Prefecture! I'm doing my best to compile more titles, so be sure to comment if I've missed any (which I'm sure I have!)

The hometown of the protagonist was filmed at Kosode Beach, Kuji City. The Kosode Fishing Port is in Sodegahama area of Kuji City. There's also Sanriku Railway Kuji Station, Kuji station square department store, Sanriku Railway Horinai Station, and Sanriku Railway Tanohata Station.

The story was based off of experianced of Minoru Kida/Miyoshih when they taught at Koromogawa Elementary School Omori Branch School in Koromogawa Village, Iwate Prefecture (currently Koromogawa, Oshu City).
The filming location was Kinugawa Village, Iwate Prefecture (currently Kinugawa, Oshu City). -
