Watched Dramas 2021
Dramas I watched from (very) late 2020 to 2021!
-
1. The Penthouse: War in Life
Korean Drama - 2020, 21 episodes
This drama is top-notch makjang! CRAZY, over the top, hilarious, ridiculous, yet surprisingly FUN! My guilty pleasure. Though it gave me infinite stress and frustrations, I really enjoyed watching this piece! AMAZING CAST and production! A wonderful experience! I WANT MORE!!!

2. Delayed Justice
Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes
Fun. Cases were interesting. Characters were vibrant and alive with all the dramatic speeches, yelling, and crying. Emphasized feelings and successfully touched hearts. I love the DUO, most especially, and the teamwork. This drama is an enjoyable watch.

3. Beyond Evil
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
From the storyline, to the cast, to the BGM — every single element — "Beyond Evil" is a masterpiece! Acting is top-tier. All characters are vibrant and essential. Well thought. Mind-twisting. Intense pacing. Deep. Meaningful. Consistent. Never fails. AMAZING! I highly recommend!

4. The Penthouse Season 2: War in Life
Korean Drama - 2021, 13 episodes
Another chaotic season. Crazier but with less frustrations. Has more depth and colors. I threw all common sense and found myself more entertained than the first. I still love this makjang. Looking forward to S3! Seo Jin is my queen for this season. KSY nailed it!

5. Tengoku to Jigoku: Psychona Futari
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Writer-san mixed all possible emotions into this piece. I laughed. I cried. I felt so sorry, yet I felt entertained. Unpredictable. This drama is more than what it seems at first glance. Deeper. Darker. Sadder. I LOVE IT! I deeply adore this drama and the cast.

6. Times
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
-
7. Girl from Nowhere Season 2
Thai Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
A little less exciting and intense compared to the first season. Some cases weren't memorable. Interesting still. It simply didn't get to me the way it did at first. Not sure what to feel about the route they're taking. I'll wait for S3. Nanno still rocks.

8. Move to Heaven
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Amazingly moved me. Didn't literally cry but my heart did (with happy tears). Very light. Warm. Touching. Memorable. Deep. Smooth and enjoyable pacing. Precious characters and cast. Would have finished this in one sitting if only not busy. LOVE IT!

9. On the Verge of Insanity
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Warm, simple, and easy to watch. Touched my heart with its relatable adorable characters and realistic timely plot. Took up serious issues in a fun and humorous way. I felt a lot. Amazing performance from the actors. A personal favorite. I highly recommend!

10. D.P.
Korean Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
Compelling, gripping, even funny. Yet, dark, disturbing, and heart-wrenching. Cut and went deeply. Outstanding performance from the whole cast. Conveyed loud and realistic emotions. From its storyline down to its OST, this drama is right down EXCELLENT! A masterpiece.
-
11. Squid Game
Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
Love the production, the cast, and the games too! Fast. Intense. Only, it didn't shine and trigger special emotions to be memorable enough. Common concept. Fell short with spice, vibrancy, and shock value. Predictable. A good watch though. Finished it in one sitting.
-
12. Night Doctor
Japanese Drama - 2021, 11 episodes
-
13. Hometown
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
A drama of many horror concepts combined into one. Dark and creepy. A bit unsatisfying though. Some points were confusing and left unaddressed. Didn't get to me much. But, I really love the production and cast! Top quality acting. Nice cinematography. Overall, this drama was okay.
-
14. Hellbound
Korean Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
-
15. Dr. Brain
Korean Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
With a very promising start and intriguing plot, but then, receded and lost its sparks at the end. Still brilliant and interesting because of its star-studded cast and concept. Visuals were exploding. Magnificent cinematography. Enjoyable watch. Better binge it.
-
16. The Silent Sea
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
Draggy. Frustrated w/ everyone's (lack of) sense of urgency. Killed the suspense element w/ its SLOW pacing. A lot of scenes didn't make any sense. Questions left hanging. Will there be another part? Need answers. Still, kudos to the concept, production, and cast!

17. Happiness
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Interesting. Fun. Fluffy too, although it's a zombie drama. Not too intense and bloody. Kinda light for its genre, tbh. I like it still. It has its own flavor. Most of the characters are annoying af. But, the leads are good! Chemistry is superb! Overall, it is okay.
-
18. Jirisan
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Didn't reach my expectations. Really disappointing at some points. But, I enjoyed it. It was okay as a healing drama. Fairly okay as a mystery. Made me appreciate the profession even more. Yes, salute to all rangers! The cast was great. I love them. Overall, it was nice.

19. Avalanche
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Has a common theme, has a common plot, but I enjoyed it nonetheless, mostly because of its cast and their quality acting, and yes, its oh so lovely cinematography. The pacing is good and smooth. Not too complicated, and yet, still deep in its own way. This drama is a good watch.

20. Chimera
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Didn't think I would enjoy real-siblings and real-parents trope, but I did here. Went through a roller coaster ride and had fun. Pretty intense. I enjoyed the partnership, alliance, and chemistry between the leads. I love them! The story is nice and creative. This drama was good!
