Another movie I watched on the plane. The premise is a little ridiculous but it was fun. I got a little emotional while watching it ,and had to discreetly dry my tears LOL.

Watched this on the plane and had a good time. Is it excellent? No, but I love the girls and how they fight and make up. The last dance sequence is a little over the top but it's fun!

I finally got around to watch this and enjoyed it very much.  I didn't read the manga or watch the anime, but I feel that I can still follow the movie quite well.  I enjoyed the romance and the fantasy elements (gifts and all).  I would have liked to see a 8-10 episode drama adaptation.  That way, we can see the romance really develop in a decent pace, as I think they fall in love too quickly.  With longer screen time, they can set up the world building, and the backstory of FL's mother's story and family better.  But given the time constraints, it did a pretty good job.  Of course, Meguro Ren looks heavenly with his long, gray locks.

This movie is a solemn watch. There aren't too many happy scenes mixed with the serious ones. And without that contrast, I wasn't as touched as I thought I would be. A lot of tears and snot in the movie, but only made me shed a few tears (definitely no snot from me). The plot is quite predictable. It's a decent watch, but nothing you have never seen before.

“Lighting Up The Stars” is a beautiful movie about an unlikely found-family. The special bond between Mo San Mei (ML) and little Wu Xiao Wen is the main focus of this movie. Their relationship is full of funny, heartwarming and heartbreaking moments. This movie can make you laugh, cry, want to beat up someone and yell at the screen.

The acting is terrific. This is NOT the Zhu Yi Long you see in “Guardian” or “The Rebel”. Who knew he could be so improper and ‘uneducated’. Newcomer Yang En You is a bright star.
She is so feisty, sweet and thoughtful. She spoke her lines beautifully and really added to the charm of little Xiao Wen.

It's been a while since I saw the drama version and honestly, I don't remember much.  I rated the drama 8.5 and if I watch it today, it might not be a solid 8.5, maybe 8.0-8.25.  I am glad the movie gave us a quick recap of what happened.  After watching so many BLs and Jdoramas, I realize I am really not a big fan of the shy and passive leads.  Therefore, I wasn't very enthusiastic about the first few scenes of the drama when the leads were acting like teenagers instead of 30-year old men.  But I am glad I stuck around as later on, they dealt with their relationship obstacles honestly, openly and maturely.  I'm glad Adachi has grown to be more assertive and communicative.  This is an easy watch, very calming in a way.  Not as heart-fluttering as the drama but shows us character growth.  I still would have liked to see a few kiss scenes.  And what is up with Minato looking like a leprechaun in the end.

This is kinda cute. My first introduction to Korean actor Oh Se Hun. He's quite handsome, but acting is just decent. I've never seen him before and only looked it up to realize he's an EXO member. I wonder how this China/S. Korea collaboration came about. Janice Wu is Janice Wu and she's the star of the show. Song Wei Long was so young and baby-faced. The movie concept is pretty interesting and I guess in a way it's more believable than the other living with a cat drama series/adaptations. The business side of things towards the end wasn't done well and took me out of the romance story. Overall, it's a decent and easy watch to kill time.

How the dynamics between Rio and Haruhiko have changed in this movie, compared to the drama. I think the Pornographer series is one of the first BLs I've watched. It's quite a high bar for a mature, sexual and sensual BL compared to may of the 'tamer' ones. I think my favorite is still Mood Indigo, maybe because the relationship between Kido and Kijima Rio is so crazy and toxic.

"The Rational Life" is one of my favorite noona romance dramas. But since I didn't watch this special right after I finished the drama, it took me a little bit to get back into the story. I didn't like ep 1 very much because it has too much of a rom-com feel, and very different from what I remember about the more serious office drama. But eps 2-3 got better. Qin Lan has got to be one of the most beautiful and elegant actress out there. I started my girl crush on her when I watched "The Rational Life". This Dylan Wang is no Dongfang Qing Cang, and it's interesting to see how far he has come.
