sapphic movies/series i recommend

a very cute and short web series about a young woman who falls in love for her older manager. lots of her trying to flirt and gain her attention and asking for advice on how to court her by posting on a anonymous blog  similar to quora (the title is her question). 

the second season and in my opinion the more cuter season of the two. the feelings now seem to be mutual. unfortunately the ending is open ended and i don't believe this will get another season but i do know these two are a couple now.

one of the most iconic lesbian films ever. a must watch if you're someone who is looking for a romance with suspense and mystery. i can't say much other than that the direction of the film is wonderful along side the acting and cinematography. as someone who's read the source material of this film, its a great take on the classic book by sarah waters. if you want to know what happens please give it a watch you won't regret it.

one of the very first asian lesbian films i watched. feels very much like it's time when it came out. although the plot is as cliché it can get when it comes to lesbian films (main lead is married to a man and has a young child) it doesn't stop it simply being a story about how everyone discovers their sexuality at different times in life and there is never too late to be truly who you are. the chemistry between the two main leads is wonderful and seeing their interactions with each other and even with the main lead's kid is very cute. yay for lesbian mothers.

another fun webseries, which means its fairly short. luckily it will be getting a second season. the common fake dating au that turns into a real relationship. although short its real cute and the actresses are loveable. 

webseries. just about a bunch of lesbian friends and their different love lives. love that they critique the whole ''i don't love you because you're a woman, i love you because you're you,'' saying that's so common in older and newer GL/yuri series. not the biggest fan of that saying at all. a quick watch just like any other gl webseries. 

can be read as only subtext or even queer-coding-- a quick movie about a school in the middle of nowhere with some time of ominous presence and secret that comes to life after a new girl transfers. the iconic park bo young and park so dam star as the main leads, and showcase their characters chemistry well you can't help but root for them to stay together (whether you read it as platonic or read it as romantic). although labeled as a horror it's more of a mystery with little to no jump scares, more of a thriller/mystery. 

a wonderful, down to earth story about two woman who bond over food. one loves cooking, one loves eating. they get closer, and slowly comes to fall in love. one of the nicest representations of a woman discovering she's a lesbian (she says the word!! she say she is one!!).
