What 2023 is like

i was excited for this, but it was just OKAY...  

this could easily have been 10/10 for the emotions but I am not certain i loved how everything wrapped up

watched this after Call it Love, because ... well.. Sung Joon, then watched Shooting Stars for Lee Sung Kyung  - both of them - decent watches - not outstanding ... but I don't need all dramas to be amazing...

after watching this I have not started Sky Castle.   This is an easier watch .  I really enjoyed how they gave us two dramas in one, stories nicely intertwined, and also some weird mystery thrown in... but somehow, it worked.

Such a happy re-watch.  This drama has so much fun stuff.  The way fans treat idols.  How people treat their exes. The second couple was a delight!!  The team spirit and all the tidbits on how a team should work.  Leadership skills highlighted.  Of course - women in traditional men’s arenas.  All ofthis packed into a story around a guy who is witty and funny and strong who fell for a girl who was true to herself and kind to those around her. 

watched because Yunho rec but was angst and difficult to get through

not bad , not best but surprsingly trashy enjoyable.

This genre is drama reflects so many feelings from my life story.  The letter to read on the train - or in my case an airplane - and the overwhelming feeling of parting.  Many things in this drama felt real

I forgot that adorable Luo Zheng had a guest role in this... it was worth it even just for his scenes... but this re-watch made me even like this drama a little bit  more.. cliche and not perfect but definitely good to turn off thinking cells and watch

watched because of Time Flies and you are Here but this was way better, thoroughly enjoyed

This was surprisingly thought provoking.  Not pure fluff

sadly , this is perfectly forgettable

i was finally in the right frame of mind to watch this.  it still was not easy, but slowly, 1 episode at  a time.... still took me to places...

reminded me of the drama with the pink haired boy but this was not as good, but still okay

watched because i was getting in the mood for japan, but it was nice quick and fun

kind of messy delivery but the actors were FINE

re-watch - because of Till the End of the Moon!!!  

I don't know how many times I have watched. but still I love it.  this time though i was very liberal in skipping through the politics.  also, since I am also watching Our Blooming Youth, it is even clearer how much these two dramas are alike... there are quite a few scenes in OBY that are reminiscent of LITM.

this was actually good, but i had a hard time getting through  the silliness of the "reality show"

re-watched this AGAIN... i really want to do a montage of all the Christian Grey moments that Xiao Nai has... 

stalkerish , gaslighting  and possessive ownership behaviour

• when she is asleep reading , reading her messages - and answering them!
• seeing her, asking people about her, finding out she is Luwei Weiwei and entering into  in-game marriage to trap her
• 1st date after she says she wants to enter arena without him to lay low - he IGNORES her and all make a grand production of "claiming" her in public by having everyone watch him walk up to  her and have  conversation  about them not meeting up tonight as planned!!
• when they met in person - he walks away and says 'aren't you coming" this is not a coincidence, i am waiting for you... again... the gaslighting
•   hacking her computer and knowing she was missing him because she watched the video
• calling her his fiance and then gaslighting her saying she brought it up
• telling her he will NEVER leave her, he will just keep convincing her even if she cheats on him...
• getting his parents to drop her off at school - knowing full well everyone will know - .... again forcing her hand... claiming her so she can't back out
• she said she did not want anyone at work to treat her like his girlfriend... so he holds her hand and walks in... this man does not listen to her one bit!!!
• kindly takes her in when she is fighting with her girlfriend but then emotionally manipulating to stay by suggesting she is just using him...
• sending her money to buy a ticket and come see him
• suggesting she should please him with her body to get an internship!!!

there must be so much more - and boy do i love all this toxic behaviour because i know all these darn moments by heart!!!

made me re-watch episodes of Jan Bo Ri and now I am like re-watching the whole thing... .Kim JiHoon  - the hair the character - the portrayal - so much dept in his performance...  

the ending after all the nonsensical drama!!

Like when you are eating MacDonalds and you know it’s allsynthetic food with not substance and nutrition but the secret sauce has you addicted.  Bad but I still binged the whole thing.  

sweet and easy to get through

came to mind when i was watching The Love you Give me.  so glad i re-watched. the second FL was  not much too my liking the first time around, but here romance story was nice.. and this time around i was able to enjoy some of her scenes better.  

@miclo tempted me and i was not disappointed. . this was wonderful and worth binging , so much about this, but all the rooftop scenes and how they became a symbol for ML journey  loved the misfit guys in restaurant and the MOTHER!!!

this was fun the second time, but also i realized it is fantasy, so don't think too much! :)  

it was good until it wasn't , around ep 31 , i was like, should I continue with this... then for the next episodes, i FF many parts... only did the couple parts ignored the father's illness and pull and tug with mother etc... lots seemed unnecessary to the story IMO

loved it... quirkly namkoong min.... ep 8/9 ?? 9/10 best for me, the romance part was wonderful but the drama as a whole was disjointed and not that coherent... cast saved it

nice but i would  not re-watch  some cute moments but overall just OKAY.

watched for Luo Zhen and got the fan service but the drama was meh

the Luo Zhen bathtub scene!

FF last episodes to kinda get to the explanations and then... the "explanations" were non existent...

Watched a while back, re-watched and did not find it as engaging... but I am in a reminiscing mood for the days of old K-dramas

A bit toxic and i really don't like the whole by his door on the floor visual that became the analogy for their relationship.

MY MOST ANTICIPATED DRAMA OF 2023

i watched the "movie" version - surprisingly enjoyed...

this disappointed me towards the end... Also was not AS impressed with Jeremy Tsui this time.  

this was one messed up show.... but they have undeniable chemistry

i overall enjoyed this drama. i did not mind watching while it aired. i think i might have enjoyed less if i was watching it all in one go.  watching weekly left enough gaps in my brain that i did not question too many things

I enjoyed this way better than i thought i would... it aired at a rough time in my life so i did not watch, thinking it would be melo... but it really wasn't... also it wasn't the way people spoke about it either... it is just a fun romp drama.

disappointing... left me thinking what was the point?

another one of the dramas this year that was better in the beginning plus the FL - not so sure.. they tried to make her strong yet took away something from the character, same with ML, tried to make him understanding and wonderful - and he was - but still...

way better than i thought it would be , a bingeable show

this drama surprised me, i actually enjoyed... it was on a whim because of Ji Sub but there were many familiar faces that kept it interesting because they are just good actors

I really wanted to like this for Minho, but I only finished this to say I finished it, sadly it was not engaging for me

i really watched to the end of 40 episodes... but i could not do it at regular speed, most were at 2x speed and there has not been a show in recent years that has made me want to yell at the screen like this one...

loved it loved it quirky characters and all  i really enjoyed the attempt at portraying love in all forms

Sheer violence.  Why did I watch it!!!

i can't even remember when i watched this before  ... but it still is my kind of k-drama with the k-pop refs etc.. like  Lee Hong Gi singing as their "love theme" ...

yeah... a bit of a let down in the latter half

I can't believe this was a 2013 drama.  it actually holds up okay. The phones though... and the Infiniti PPL... Infiniti used to spend lots of money on the K dramas then... Also,  I realized since I just re-watched Oh  My Venus, that JiSub's role in this and that are similar in nature and the interaction with his romantic lead is somewhat similar, they are connected physically, one couple because of excercise and the other due to the "sheltering" - both with powerful families they are trying to stay independent

re-watched this an loved all the coats ML wore, did not notice those first time around.. but loved them...

Beginning better than later episodes.

This was a bit disappointing.  it does not actually compare well to Its Beautiful Now, now that I have finished.   definitely not as good

WOW!!!  I loved Ashes of Love and this was like years after - he looks the same - amazing -ethereal...
