1. If You Wish Upon Me
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
This one could be good or bad for someone that has grandparents or parents that are getting older. My grandpa was going through chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer when I watched this and I think watching this helped me when he passed away. I know that most of the time death in the series isn't quite as peaceful and beautiful in real life but I do think the show's portrayal makes death not seem as scary. I think it's important to note that the drama wasn't as heavy as I was expecting a show about a hospice center to be. It definitely could be triggering for some, so please watch with caution!

2. Summer Strike
Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
This was a nice little filler drama. It's pretty short, so it's easy to squeeze in if you're not wanting the commitment of a drama with a lot of episodes. If you're a fan of Im Siwan, I think it's worth watching. It was a bit frustrating, though, so you'll have to prepare for that.
-
3. Meet Yourself
Chinese Drama - 2023, 40 episodes
Started this one because I heard it was a wholesome slow burn romance which is all of the things I love! It's definitely both of those things, so if you like romances that have instant gratification, you will not like this. It takes its time but you get to fall in love with all of the villagers, witness beautiful scenery, and watch characters heal. The FL should be goals for all drama writers. Both the way the character was written and the way the actress presented the character on screen was so perfect! Also, the actress is distractingly beautiful! This drama really sets itself apart from other romance dramas because the relationship seems very mature. It's nice to see 2 mature adults falling in love without all of the misunderstandings.

4. Move to Heaven
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Re-watch
Still loved it as much as I did the first time I watched it!
-
5. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Re-watch
I love this cozy drama <3
-
6. Itaewon Class
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
I personally thought this started off really strong and it was addicting but later it's very frustrating to watch. I wanted Saeroyi to succeed in his revenge so badly, so I think that's why I was able to finish it but the FL bothered me a lot. I see why people like this drama but I don't really understand the hype behind it. I understand the hype behind Park Seo Joon but not the drama. Lol!

7. The Uncanny Counter
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
This drama is a lot of fun! So Moon is so dang precious, you can't help but get behind him and want the best for him. I enjoyed the drama overall and loved the gang! We love found family! I do think that the writers missed a few opportunities that could have made this drama better but I guess just enjoy it for what it is and don't expect too much.
Note: I have not read the webtoon

8. Mouse
Korean Drama - 2021, 20 episodes
I can't say too much about this because I don't want to spoil even the smallest thing or hint at anything but please watch this! I thought it would be like any other detective drama/murder mystery but it really stands out! I'm not sure if Lee Seung Gi won an award for this drama or not but if he didn't, he should have! The man can act! The screenwriters also deserve awards!

9. D.P.
Korean Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
Re-watch
Decided to watch this again before watching season 2. Still love our boys and it was still a tough watch.
-
10. D.P. Season 2
Korean Drama - 2023, 6 episodes
They weren't playing around with the bromance! I'm not sure if there's a way to check trigger warnings on dramas but this is one that should be checked. Like the first season, there are scenes that are very powerful but hard to watch. I enjoyed this season a lot but it wasn't quite as good as the first season for me. Still worth a watch if you enjoyed the first season.
-
11. See You in My 19th Life
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
I saw clips of this floating around on the internet and I could not have been more excited to see it! It really did not disappoint! It did have some heavier emotional scenes, but it was refreshing to watch this after something as heavy as D.P.
-
12. Big Bet
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
I mostly watched this because I have a love for Son Suk Ku that cannot be quenched! It ended up being pretty enjoyable! The use of English in the series is honestly pretty impressive, I didn't find it cringey at all. Some people complained that the plot was too boring and slow. I do think there were parts that were a little slow but I still thought it was interesting.
-
13. Tale of the Nine-Tailed
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Worth it for the bromance but I wish it would have had a little more fantasy. Sometimes you forget that you're watching characters that are nine-tailed foxes because they seem so human most of the time. Unfortunately, this drama has some of the drama things that I'm really not a fan of, so that's what caused me not to rate it higher. I mostly wanted to watch this for the 2nd season because that one interests me way more. I'm hoping they do some things a little differently and I like it more than I liked this one.

14. Call It Love
Korean Drama - 2023, 16 episodes
This was another one I watched because I saw clips on the internet and I binged the heck out of it! I feel like we got to see a different side of Kim Young Kwang's acting in this and I loved every second of it! The same cannot be said for Lee Sung Kyung. Unfortunately, this drama was the start of my mixed feelings for her. I'm sure she's a lovely person and I do think she's incredibly talented but it's hard for me to separate her past characters from the one I'm currently watching. Maybe I'm the problem but they all have similar mannerisms and a similar way of speaking. ANYWAYS, I still highly recommend the drama!

15. Bloodhounds
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
There were definitely some things about this drama that were a 10/10 for me! The fighting, the bromance, and the revenge! I wasn't a huge fan of the antagonist always having the upper hand throughout the entire series but that's not uncommon to see. There were only 8 episodes, so it didn't bother me quite as much as it would have if the series was stretched out more. There were also things near the end that seemed a little disjointed but that was because someone *ahem* decided to drink and drive. I ended up liking the character they introduced in the last 2 episodes more anyways, so it wasn't a total loss. I hope Lee Sang Yi and Woo Do Hwan work together again in the future and I hope they stay friends forever!
-
16. The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
Both seasons of The Uncanny Counter were a lot of fun for me. This season had such a good villain which is definitely a weakness of mine! Once again, I wish they would have done a few things differently, but I'll take what I can get!
-
17. Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san
Japanese Drama - 2023, 9 episodes
This is very slice of life and so cute! I watched this with one of my friends and we enjoyed ourselves quite a bit! You can't go wrong with food, the arts, and friendship!
-
18. Youth of May
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
I find the Gwangju Uprising to be fascinating and also a sad event in history, so I'm glad I was able to watch a drama that takes place during that time period. It started off really strong for me but there were some things that happened that frustrated me quite a bit. I'm still really glad I watched it, though and I think it's worth watching!
-
19. The Glory
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
I did not expect the emotional rollercoaster that this was! I was super invested and would go to great lengths to watch this for the first time again!
-
20. The Glory Part 2
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
Really enjoyed the 2nd part as well! I have nothing but good things to say about this drama as a whole!
-
21. Dr. Romantic Season 2
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
I was a huge fan of the first season, so I wanted to watch this since I saw the 3rd season would be airing soon. It was enjoyable but the romance wasn't my favorite. As I mentioned in the Call It Love notes, I'm struggling with Lee Sung Kyung's dramas lately. I just hate how her characters are so bad at communicating! And her characters seem like the same person most of the time. I hope she gets some different roles soon that prove me wrong!
-
22. Sell Your Haunted House
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
New comfort show! I wanted to watch some spooky dramas in September and October for Halloween and this was so much fun! It's not really scary but I loved the characters and the plot! It is a little more episodic than I usually like but I didn't mind it at all! Highly recommend for anyone that wants a good time and also wants to get in their feels a bit!
-
23. Extraordinary Attorney Woo
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
This drama is so cute! It does seem a little repetitive at times but Attorney Woo is really a character you can get behind and I loved seeing people fall for her charms and become her friends!
-
24. My Lovely Boxer
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
I was pretty pumped about watching a drama about a lady boxer! The beginning was fun and exciting but it became very frustrating later on. I was impressed by Lee Sang Yeob. I thought he pulled off the emotional scenes really well but later on his character annoyed the heck out of me. I hope Jinwoo gets more roles in dramas in the near future, I thought he did a fine job but it would be fun to see him grow as an actor! I'm glad I gave the drama a chance but it won't be one I will watch again.
-
25. Weak Hero Class 1
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
Really loved this drama! I'm going through a phase in my drama watching where youth dramas are a lot of fun for me! I'm not sure what's going on but this one was written really well and now I'm reading the webtoon because of it!
-
26. Big Bet Season 2
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
I gotta say that the first season was better than the second. This one dragged a little bit but still really well written and the acting was great!
-
27. The Ingenuity of the House Husband
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Another cute short drama! Watched this in one sitting with a friend!
-
28. All of Us Are Dead
Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
I thought this drama was alright. It was hyped up quite a bit for me but it kind of seemed like your same old zombie apocalypse story. It was interesting seeing it take place in a school and it did have a couple of twists that were interesting. If you like dramas/movies about zombies, it's definitely worth a try!
-
29. At a Distance, Spring Is Green
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
If I could put a drama in my pocket, it would be this one! I think this is one I will cherish for a long time. I loved the characters and the script! Trigger warnings should be checked because there is some domestic violence that takes place.
-
30. Alchemy of Souls
Korean Drama - 2022, 20 episodes
I honestly don't understand why this drama was 20 episodes long. It took its sweet time but when it got good, it was really good! I would have enjoyed seeing more from the mages throughout the drama but the last few episodes really blew me away!
-
31. Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow
Korean Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
I decided to watch the second season immediately after the first. I thought it would be more of what I wanted the first season to be like but it kind of fell into the same pattern as the first season. Some of the fantasy scenes were super cool! Alchemy of Souls hands down has the best digital effects I've seen in a drama!
-
32. My Name
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
I binged this in a day! It's very fast paced, and it kept my attention! I won't say too much since I don't want to spoil anything, but definitely worth a watch if you like revenge plots!
-
33. Beyond Evil
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
A masterpiece!! I was slightly confused at times, but I loved it! Loved the enemies to bromance storyline! Just a heads up, it's very dark so it might be disturbing to some.
-
34. Go Ahead
Chinese Drama - 2020, 46 episodes
I went into this expecting great things! It was enjoyable, I loved the characters, and I was a huge fan of the found family! I did feel like it was a little drawn out and there were a few side characters I didn't really care about but overall, I liked it!
