MY FAVE FEMALE ACTORS!
Female favorites I enjoy watching on Asian drama shows, what makes them stand out for me personally and what I like most about them!

Seo Yea Ji
South Korean
First glance was on Hwarang as the princess, even then she had an appearance that was appealing! Then forget it, when I watched her on It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, she was just amazing! She played that character so well, I was hooked! Soon after, I’m browsing around to see what other shows I could find her on. Liked both Save Me and Lawless Lawyer, thought she did a good job on them, too! Can’t wait to catch up on her past work, and looking forward to seeing her more in future projects! Seo Ye Ji is definitely one of my top faves, and you just have to love that unique voice of hers!

Park Bo Young
South Korean
This cute little thing! Strong Girl Bong-soon was one of my first K-Dramas watched because my teenage daughter suggested it. I enjoyed it so much, I guess that’s when I became hooked in K-Dramas, and I haven’t gone back to watching regular TV in the United States. Together with Park Hyung-sik they made the show entertaining to watch. She’s so cute and petite, she makes you fall in love with the Bong-soon character, too! As usual, once I watch one show they’re on, I browse around to watch the next one they’ve done. With limited access, I haven’t watched many of her works. Caught Oh My Ghost with Jo Jung-sik and Abyss with Ahn Hyo-seop and I enjoyed them both! Can’t wait for her new show releasing in May!

Kim Go Eun
South Korean
First watched Kim Go Eun with curly-curly red hair in Cheese in the Trap and thought she was awesome! Loved the entire cast, found out later it was based on a webtoon, which I normally don’t follow, but I liked it! Then Goblin, ugh I cried so much watching that show! Most recently, The King: Eternal Monarch. She is amazing in all roles played, I’ll definitely be catching up on ALL her past work sooner or later, I’ve got a long way to go!

Park Eun Bin
South Korean
In just a few words… Impressive from the start! After weeks of watching her on King’s Affection and now on Extraordinary Attorney Woo (July 2022) realized I first saw her on Hello My Twenties, one of the very, very first k-dramas I watched years ago. She is one pretty cool actress, does a great job and can play her characters well.
-
Zhao Lu Si
Chinese
Rosy Zhao, my all time fave these past 2yrs (2021-2022)! My newest favorite C-Drama actress I think, I go looking for all her shows to watch lol. Come to think of it, I’ve watched more of her shows than anyone else lol and that’s a good thing. There’s a long list of shows, even in supporting roles I’ll have to catch up on. So far, she’s done an awesome job! Glad to see she’s doing well and working, I definitely enjoy watching her onscreen, she’s too cute!

Tan Song Yun
Chinese
Like most fans, hooked on Seven Tan! First watched her and completed in the most recent The Sword and The Brocade (one of my faves), loved her character! A smart, clever, selfless and heroic female lead, she did an amazing job! Then I jumped in between that show and Under the Power, and I just like how she portrays each character so differently. I love a smart female lead, and how her character knows martial arts and can fight off the bad guys, too! Plus, she’s just so cute! Now I’m catching up on all her other shows available on Viki. Just love her!
-
Dilraba Dilmurat
Chinese
Another fan favorite, and I now I know why. She’s beautiful and talented! First watched her on Diamond Lover, and she did a great job portraying that character. I then watched Sweet Dreams, and thought she did a good job on that, too. Next up, more current role on The Long Ballad, I have a feeling I’m going to like her character even more on that one. Looking forward to seeing her more in future works.
-
Bai Lu
Chinese
Beautiful Bai Lu! First watched her on Jiu Liu Overload, she was funny and cute! Pretty good show too. Then next thing I knew, I was following her, watched Song of My Youth, just finishedOne and Only and Forever and Ever… all much liked. She is a popular fan favorite, and now she’s one of my faves, too!
-
Zhang Yu Xi
Chinese
Adorable Zhang Yu Xi! Actually watched her in, what was it… My Little Princess, but I couldn’t finish it (dropped from watchlist). Not sure if it was the storyline or just the dubbing wasn’t too convincing for me, it’s when I first started watching Asian dramas and realized quickly that a lot of the Chinese shows are dubbed!? Don’t know, I’ll decide later if I‘ll give it anothergo (maybe). But soon after, watched her in My Unicorn Girl (because I like hockey), Stand By Me and Love at Night. Liked all three shows and thought she did a decent job in them.
-
Xing Fei
Chinese
Cute little thing Xing Fei! Although, Master Devil Do Not Kiss Me 1 & 2 were a little tough to get through, I finished watching them until the end. Note, I don’t like giving up watching a show unless I really can‘t endure it, ha! Watched more of her latest works Put Your Head on My Shoulder, My Little Happiness, Miss Crow with Mr. Lizard (with my fave Allen Ren) and Hello, the Sharpshooter. Which she did a good job in all I thought. Hmm, the only thing I wondered why is that she had almost the same bangs hair cut in all of them?? Anyway, looking forward to seeing her in different show setting like a costume/period piece.
-
Shen Yue
Chinese
Another adorable actor Shen Yue! Like most newbies or fans, Meteor Garden was one of the very first shows I watched based on the recommendation that it was the Chinese version of the Korean show Boys Over Flowers. It was cool to see its interpretation, enjoyed both shows. Since then I’ve tried to catch whatever new works she‘s done like A Love So Beautiful, Count Your Lucky Stars and Use for My Talent. Next up soon Mr. Bad and anything else worth the watch.
-
Ireine Song
Canadian
Another cute little thing Ireine Song! Came across this actor by watching The Prince of Tennison Netflix which was full of good looking male actors lol. She was the cute cheerleader in a supporting role. Then I came across her as the female leads in Flavour it’s Yours with Gong Jun and Professional Single with Aaron Deng (which has the loviest OST songs in it). She did a great job in those shows, too.
