2. Our Beloved Summer
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
this might be the best romantic/slice of life k-drama to ever exist. ever.
honestly, years has passed and our beloved summer remained unmoveable in my heart. on some days, i'd randomly stop to think about them and wonder how they're doing. are they living well? what are they up to these days?
i've had discussions with my friends over this series, and we agreed on a certain thing; this k-drama is perfect and we're are having a hard time trying to move on for them. i cannot tell you the amount of times one of us would post an edit that passed on our timeline about our beloved summer and commented; "i miss them so much ..."

3. Her Private Life

4. Flower of Evil
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
romance as a subplot is the best genre. especially in a murder-mystery one.
i want to thank all my kdrama mutuals who kept saying flower of evil is the GREATEST k-drama they have ever watched. i was intrigued by their comments and wow ... they're right. mainly focusing on the wife's work as a detective trying to solve a decades old murder, we then introduced to her loving husband ... who practices smiling every morning alone in front of a mirror.
the romance aspect caught me off-guard, almost. not your usual romance-as-subplot, the romance in this one is crucial, it's the main insight of the characters and how they get here. this one is truly devastating, heart-wrenching, and intriguing. if you want to know about true unconditional love, it's their relationship right here.

for my friends-to-lovers girlies ... come get yall's juice!
this is the perfect fuzzy series for people looking for something warm, short, and to the point, but still packed so beautifully. it's the kind of series you keep coming back to, hoping for more. you won't regret it!
