In the Rattanakosin Kingdom, Mak leaves his pregnant wife Nak to join the war and meets four soldiers who become his best friends. During this time, his wife Nak struggles to give birth to their baby. When the war ends, Mak invites his friends to visit Phra Khanong and meet his beautiful wife Nak. Meanwhile, rumors fly around town that Nak is a ghost. His four friends and villagers try to tell Mak that his wife is already dead.

Nonzee recreates the life of a notorious late-1950s gangster. Dang Bireley's (nicknamed after his favorite soda-pop) had Elvis and James Dean fixations and lived predictably fast and died predictably young. Conjoined twins Ploy and Pim are very close until Pim meets a boy named Wee, causing her to decide to separate from Ploy. The surgery is performed but Ploy does not survive. Years later, Pim and Wee are living together in South Korea when Pim suddenly has to return home to take care of her mother after she has a seizure. The story is a love triangle, set in World War II-era in Thailand, and depicts the star-crossed romance between Kobori, a Imperial Japanese Navy officer and Angsumalin, a Thai woman who is involved with the Free Thai resistance.

The film's narrative abruptly shifts to a different story, about a soldier sent alone into the woods to find a lost villager. In the woods, the soldier encounters the spirit of a tiger shaman, who taunts and bedevils the soldier, causing him to run through the woods and become lost and isolated.

Boom, a young Thai girl who meets a married man named Prathan at a country club. The two soon begin an affair, and Boom finds herself pregnant. When she breaks the news to Prathan, he appears to settle for giving her a sum of money in exchange for her silence, reassuring her that he will not leave her. However, he then wakes her up in the middle of the night, informing her that for that large an amount of money, he had the right to share her. While Prathan wields a video camera, his friends chase a terrified and screaming Boom out of the room and onto the beach, where they apparently gang-rape her. Furious, Boom enlists the aid of a black magic user to exact revenge on her ex-lover and his entire family.

Based on strange events believed by many locals to have taken place in Chiang Mai late last century, the story opens with 40-ish marketer named Thi, his wife Parn, his rebellious teenage daughter Nan and lively young son Nat moving from Bangkok to Laddaland, an upmarket housing estate located in Chiangmai. Convinced that his new job with a company that sells dietary supplements is the answer to all his troubles, Thi ignores Parn's legitimate concern over hefty mortgage payments; he also believes that the move will lift Nan's deep-seated resentment of him and Parn, who left the girl with her grandmother for much of her childhood. Following the grisly murder of a Burmese housemaid and Thi's unpleasant encounter with wife-beating next-door neighbour Somkiat, ghosts start appearing before Nan, who is unable to convince her parents that she's not making up these supernatural incidents...  

A group of friends travel to a private island to spend the weekend, unaware that a shrine of evil spirits is also located on the island. A misguided prank leads the release of the spirits and the group finds themselves struggling to stay alive.

The format of story about growing up is however an excuse for the director to reflect on looking for your identity in global world, full of charm essay about lasting and elusive human relations - also about problems young girls have to face nowadays.
