  • Blue Boys Part 2

    1. Blue Boys Part 2

    Korean Drama - 2024, 4 episodes

    7.0

    Watched while airing.

Mini BL drama. The chemistry was FIRE but story was same old cliche. Few plot devices like cheating was unnecessary and didn't add anything to the narrative. But a one-time watch as the runtime is short, and you won't loose much!

  • Boku no Itoshii Youkai Girlfriend

    2. Boku no Itoshii Youkai Girlfriend

    Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes

    7.0

Had really high expectations but disappointed. I couldn't honestly feel the chemistry between the leads.  The premise was interesting but execution not so much!

  • Memory in the Letter

    3. Memory in the Letter

    Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes

    6.5

The series started on a high note! The first 4 episodes had cute chemistry, a hint of the supernatural blending well with mystery and suspense. However, the last 2 episodes failed to resolve the loose ends – in fact, they didn't tie them AT ALL. While it had a happy ending, by that point, I honestly had lost interest. I have serious concerns regarding the romantic storyline in those last 2 episodes. I'm not sure if it was due to short run time or a messy plot and lazy writing, but it's watch at your own risk!

  • My Stand-In

    4. My Stand-In

    Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes

    8.0

    Watched while airing.

The Grand Red Flag show where victim is also a red flag!! Great chemistry and acting! If you enjoy morally grey characters and angst - THIS IS PERFECT for you! Though felt ending was rushed and redemption arcs could have been more GRAND ! It SHOULD have been! But a good and entertaining watch!

  • Chugakusei Nikki

  • We Are

    7. We Are

    Thai Drama - 2024, 16 episodes

    7.5

    Watched while airing.

The series started out great - the strong friendship and the bonds but it became too monotonous and tad bit boring!??! Absolutely nothing significant happens especially from episodes 11 to 16. (Again should have been an 8 or 10 ep story).
The entire focus was on people dating, with an OVERWHELMING number of couples. I wouldn't have mind if few of them remained single.

Overall, it's the kind of series you can enjoy casually while having dinner or having it on in the background while doing other things.

    10. As Beautiful as You

    Chinese Drama - 2024, 40 episodes

    7.5

    Watched While Airing!

This office romance drama felt refreshing because it actually shows people working, which is a nice change. The chemistry between the leads was evident, though the FL's character was a bit inconsistent, and her haircut and wardrobe didn’t help much.
To be honest, I came for Xu Kai and stayed for him! He excels at *drumroll*—THE CEO ROLES! I’m glad they didn’t make him the typical OG cold jerk.

However, modern dramas don’t necessarily need 40 episodes imo. The first 16 to 20 episodes felt a bit draggy, but the pace picks up later on. The screentime for side characters was a bit much for my liking!

Overall, the show features some stunning visuals and good chemistry. If you’re up for a 40-episode drama, give it a shot!
I’m still indecisive about the rating—somewhere between 7.5 and 8!

  • Yumi's Cells

    11. Yumi's Cells

    Korean Drama - 2021, 14 episodes

    8.0

A unique take on the romcom, the drama delves deeply into the atomic-level dissection of each character’s emotions, which is central to the concept of the "cells" that represent their inner thoughts and feelings. The drama portrays very well in making the characters' decisions relatable by providing reasons into their motivations. This nuanced portrayal was both frustrating and entertaining. It shows shows the complexity of real-life emotions and choices.

However, the ending of the series falls short of expectations for me. It feels somewhat half-hearted and fails to resolve the character arcs, which undermines the otherwise strong character development.

Despite its shortcomings, this was an entertaining watch. The concept of the cells felt particularly new and engaging! Overall I would recommend!

  • The Boyfriend

    12. The Boyfriend

    Japanese TV Show - 2024, 10 episodes

    9.0

    Watched while airing!

My first-ever Asian dating show and oh boy oh! I was thoroughly entertained!
I loved how the show focused on dating while also on the genuine friendship between the boys. I genuinely got positive vibes from all of them!

It was an emotional rollercoaster, but given how invested I was, it’s no surprise! ?
    I’d definitely recommend it !

  • Yumi's Cells Season 2

    13. Yumi's Cells Season 2

    Korean Drama - 2022, 14 episodes

    7.0

This began with a "too perfect" setup, but unfortunately that ship sank and SO BAD!

The ML was portrayed as extremely perfect and sweet, yet his character arc felt disappointingly one-dimensional. Yes, he had good chemistry with Yumi, but there was always something that seemed always off about their relationship.
Yumi's character was increasingly confused and her decisions lost their logical groundings. While in season 1 , her choices were relatable and somewhat realistic, here they just felt extremely superficial and her development seemed to regress rather than progress.

I am not even going to talk about the ending. I am sorry, but I can't gulp anything in the name of 'realism' down my throat without proper reasons !

The cells, however, continued to be the hero, providing the same entertaining charm!
Overall, while the cells offer some enjoyment, Season 2 was disappointing for me. Will not recommend it ! But if you haven't seen Season 1, it is definitely worth a try!

  • Lovely Runner

    14. Lovely Runner

    Korean Drama - 2024, 16 episodes

    7.5

The drama started out great but fizzled in second half. Too many plot holes ,  a serial killer in romcom WE DON'T NEED THAT and some decisions by characters. There wasn't enough content for 16 eps.  I loved the ML's acting but FL's character didn't impressive me. Her decisions came to me as illogical sometimes and honestly they did bad to SML. He deserved better. Overall , I didn't get the hype around this.

  • The Beauty Inside

    15. The Beauty Inside

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

    8.5

The drama has remarkable chemistry between the leads. For me, It goes beyond the typical love story, exploring the media pressure and the complexities of an actor's life with a bit of a darker and more realistic tone. Rather than just being a romance drama, it feels more like a slice-of-life series. The interactions between the ML and FL with their secretaries were interesting and loved their dynamics. The secretaries didn't hesitate to correct them when needed.

The second couple is just as compelling as the main and kept me equally invested or even more.

For 16 episodes , the plot felt short and it was a bit draggy here and there but nevertheless it was entertaining enough to keep hooked till last! Overall, a good romcom with good acting from all the leads !

  • Love in the Apocalypse

    16. Love in the Apocalypse

    Korean Drama - 2024, 40 episodes

    8.0

With 40 episodes, each episode under 2 minutes, I came in for Kim Seong Hyuk and was not disappointed. Due to the short runtime the story was bit fragmented, but the pace felt fine. The chemistry between the characters was undeniable and felt very organic. The characters acted maturely and communicated well which was refreshing.
The video quality was good, looked like it wasn’t made on a tight budget. I think it would’ve made a better impact as a movie ?!
Overall, I enjoyed it and found it better than some full-length BLs I’ve seen!

  • Bad Guy

    19. Bad Guy

    Korean Drama - 2024, 4 episodes

    7.5

    Watched while airing!

This mini BL series, consisting of 4 episodes each under 10 minutes has strong chemistry between the leads and has immense potential for a full-length adaptation. Although the story is somewhat underdeveloped due to its length and number of the episodes, it remains highly entertaining. Both actors delivered impressive performances  and were so expressive. Someone cast them into full length BL. They will do so well.
FYI. : I evaluate mini dramas and full-length ones differently. For instance, a full-length drama with a rating of 7.5 may have more flaws than good things but a mini drama rated 7.5 generally deserves an 8. (I hope this makes sense!)

  • Be My Favorite

    20. Be My Favorite

    Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes

    9.0

This was such a surprise for me! Time travel element was executed very well and smoothly. Pisaeng is the GREEN-EST flag/carpet ever ! The patience and understanding he displayed was EXEMPLARY! Kawi had such a good character arc. He was a difficult one to deal with but had his reasons. Though the decisions he took boiled my blood but still was relevant to the story.

I also loved the dynamic friendships among the characters especially Pear and Max . It was great to see how their relationships evolved in such a positive and engaging way with Kawi and gractually with Pisaeng .

Overall, it was a beautiful BL with palpable chemistry and amazing friendships.

I went into it after knowing the TWs , so I won't complain about it and cry how TOXIC it is. It is! But seeing this came from china I am shocked. Lol.  A PROPER BL (No intended romance or us micro analysing things).  The chemistry was no JOKE. It was toxic but fire. Sad they couldn't complete the series . I was waiting/wanted Gu Hai to have a big redemption's arc.

A Thai - Chinese BL production. This was FLAWED and TOXIC however, I will take it as a step forward in a new direction as 'outsourcing' BL seems to be the only viable option from China !

The story had all the cliche troupe but it was sort of entertaining for me. Acting could have been better but that 7 is just appreciation for a BL from China.

  • Goblin

    27. Goblin

    Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

    9.0

The bromance was on point. I enjoyed Goblin and Grim Reaper's relationship to the point where I forgot there was supposed to be romance. lol! Tbh I was a bit skeptical about the romance, but it didn't bother me. I think it’s because I already knew what I was getting into! The comedy was also on point and actually made me laugh. (Business card, NASA hehe) The OSTs are SO AMAZING! I can’t emphasize this enough!

Overall, it’s a good watch. I do see reservations around it, but keep an open mind and you will be entertained.

  • Cosmetic Playlover

    8.0
  • Love Mechanics

    29. Love Mechanics

    Thai Drama - 2022, 10 episodes

    8.5

Though the plot is problematic and yes we have seen this before, the chemistry and good acting pulls this series off! Not only from the leads but all the supporting characters!

I fell in love with Mark. The sassy little kid who just wanted love. Vee was confused from the start but his character's journey is to watch for ! Even the side characters , all of them contributed in the positive direction of the flow ! They didn't feel unnecessary or as fillers!

Vee's and Mark's father finally came around at the end but that is where my gripe lies.( A little) Vee father's change of heart felt too sudden and just couldn't fit into the story. Don't get me wrong I am happy that he came around but would have loved a scene or two more of him giving reasons ! Mark's father scene was bit realistic but again felt rushed. Rushed like 'this is the last episode so we will tie everything back' rushed.

And another thing was Vee's girlfriend, ohh she was the most confused character. At one point I thought this story would have been way better without her because she contributed less as a character except being 'Vee's girlfriend'. I wanted maybe a bit more clarity on her part !! Also they could resolved the cheating part before ep 4 , felt a bit stretched but looks like I am nitpicking .

Overall , I loved the series and the flawed characters! If you can keep an open mind about the TW, this is one of the few BLs I might just rewatch !!

  • Kamisama no Ekohiiki

    32. Kamisama no Ekohiiki

    Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

    8.0

The unusual BL that takes an intriguing twist with a truck-of-doom-induced reincarnation.( I had to mention it xP)
Yashiro, heartbroken and reborn as the Kagura sets out to win over his best friend Kenta all over again. But again , this isn't your run-of-the-mill gender-bender. The story dives deep into friendship, identity, and the complexities of love with a blend of humor. As all the characters navigate through their new life, the narrative hilariously unfolds with accidental complications and a lot of self-discovery. It’s a charming emotional rollercoaster that goes beyond typical BL tropes.

Though I enjoyed it overall it felt rushed here and there plus a few plotlines that were introduced but never explained.

Overall I would still recommend this !

  • Stay by My Side

    33. Stay by My Side

    Taiwanese Drama - 2023, 10 episodes

    8.0

    // Stay By My Side - 7.8 /10 //

A blend of romance, supernatural elements and comedy.
Gu Bu Xia is haunted by ghosts and seeks solace in aloof roommate Jiang Chi. Gu Bu Xia's endearing awkwardness with Jiang Chi's sophisticated demeanour creates a compelling dynamic and chemistry! The ghosts which initially were a source of terror became catalysts adding both tension and humor to the story.

Special mention to the OSTs. They were beautiful!

While the acting has a lot of room for improvement, especially in emotional moments, the performance still somehow manages to capture the essence of the characters.

Overall, a good one-time watch. Recommended if you are looking for something light with classic BL tropes.

  • Zenra Meshi

    34. Zenra Meshi

    Japanese Drama - 2023, 12 episodes

    7.5

This unique concept of 'naked dining' piqued my interest, but it wasn't explored fully and felt sidelined. Ichijou Souta is portrayed as a high-spec professional who finds solace in eating naked—a quirky stress-relief ritual after long hours.Instead of diving into the intresting premise, the series focused on misunderstandings and fragmented chemistry. Mahiro, a friend of Ichijou's grandmother, accidentally discovers his secret, but the show fails to build on this intriguing premise. I was expecting a bugger reaction maybe ?! The last few episodes with misunderstanding tropes felt unnecessary. It would have been better without those!

Apart from the lead with dimples and those uncles , everything was just mediocre. I couldn't feel the chemistry between the main leads, and the cheating subplot felt random and out of place. I would have preferred if they had given more time for the characters' feelings to develop—it all felt too abrupt. I was more interested in the third couple (the doctor Nadia and the coffee shop guy).

Overall, while it was somewhat enjoyable, I wouldn't watch it again. It’s definitely a miss for me.

✅ Simple and Uncomplicated Storyline: The drama revolves around the theme of rebirth without unnecessary complexities. It steers clear of typical cliché tropes like love triangles and prolonged misunderstandings.
✅ Good Chemistry: The main leads have a natural and palpable chemistry. Overall it was also very aesthetically pleasing with costumes and set.
⚠️  Slightly Forced Ending: While the ending is happy, it felt a bit rushed. An additional three-minute episode could have made it feel more organic.

Overall , A entertaining mini drama. Recommended if you are looking for something short and simple with happy ending and also if you are a fan of Li Fei xD

    ✅ Sweet chemistry between leads.

✅ Light and enjoyable despite the short run time.

✅ The two girls as Supportive characters were fun to watch.

✅ Consent and Affection: The inclusion of a respectful hug was refreshing.

⚠️ Rushed Narrative: The overall run time of under an hour felt too short, leading to a rushed story.

⚠️ The last-minute subplot with Kinn’s ex-boyfriend felt unnecessary. Overall , the story, while simple, was enjoyable and lighthearted.

It’s a fun, one-time watch. The acting by both leads was impressive, but the characters themselves felt a bit dull. I found it difficult to understand their motivations, especially the MLs and while they do provide some insight into this later on, it feels a bit too late. I already kinda lost intrest. The romance is cute but nothing groundbreaking. Overall, it's a decent watch, but forgettable.

A fun , one time watch mini-drama that relies heavily on cliché tropes but it works. The leads deliver good performances making the most of the familiar storyline. It's a decent palate cleanser from the heavier stuff—short and sweet, perfect for when you just want something light. Overall, it's a chill watch that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

✅ The writing was unpredictable, engaging, and kept me on the edge of my seat with every episode.
✅ Park Shin-Hye as Kang Bitna was outstanding! Her acting was flawless. Kim Jae Young as DaOn was also a great surprise and performed perfectly.
✅ The romance was a subplot, allowing the supernatural elements to remain the main focus, but it added just enough to make my heart flutter without straying from the main storyline.
✅ The supernatural theme was put to justice. The interactions between the characters and how they navigated their moral dilemmas was done right!
✅The cinematography and fight scenes were beautifully shot!
✅The ending for what it was, was perfect!
⚠️ The story felt a bit rushed towards the end, but it was delivered on most fronts.

✅ The romance between the leads stood out to me. It was built on mutual respect and understanding, rather than the typical supernatural or superficial dynamic. Their evolving relationship felt natural, with palpable chemistry and genuinely good kisses.
✅ The drama excelled in revealing the backstory of the male lead, Woo Yeo, and his complex past. There were moments that helped explain why he appears cold and distant at the start, gradually contrasting with his more heartfelt and vulnerable character as the story unfolds.
✅ Hye Sun's relationship with Woo Yeo was enjoyable to watch. I was glad they didn’t cast her as a typical "rival love interest," but instead gave her a fun and genuine platonic friendship with him. Their playful insults followed by mutual support was a nice touch.
❌ The first half of the drama started strong and engaging, with plenty of fun moments, but it fizzled out in the second half. The pacing became inconsistent, and I felt that the character development from the first half was undone later on.
The male lead is 1,000 years old, but his communication skills are more like that of a 1 year old. It was frustrating how often he left the female lead for her sake, instead of just talking things through.
❌ The SML's character was underdeveloped. They could have explored his unrequited love in more depth. Honestly, his presence in the story didn’t add much. Things would have been almost the same without him, except for the occasional jealousy trope.
❌ The second couple had great chemistry and intriguing dynamics. I wish they had received more screen time, as their story could have been much stronger. The focus should have been more on them, rather than stretching the main couple's storyline with unnecessary plotlines.

Overall, this was a fun, one-time watch that balances its supernatural theme with a good romance. While it has its flaws, it’s still enjoyable.

This was a mix of emotions, drama and heart. The unique phone call segment where all the constetants express their feelings adds an intense and unpredictable element to the show, especially with the love triangles. (I used to wait for this segment every day. hehe)

The men were genuine and sort of relatable making it easy to root for them even when they make mistakes. Beyond the entertainment and drama, the show offered a glimpse into the lives of eight gay men with diverse personalities and their own stories.

I highly recommend this show to anyone looking for heartfelt, authentic representation and of course the love story (iykyk).

  • Kidnap

    63. Kidnap

    Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes

    6.5

    Watched while airing!

Honestly, this was a huge miss for me.
The show had so much potential, especially with Ohm and Leng chemistry but the plot feels like a random mix of ideas that never come together in a meaningful or significant way. They introduce a kidnapping subplot but then ruin it with juvenile humor. Like how do you take something serious and make it so cringey?
The tone constantly shifts from trying to be intense to being way too goofy making it impossible to feel anything. Their chemistry is the only bright spot, but even that feels forced with such weak writing.

Overall, If you’re hoping for a gripping, well-crafted story, look elsewhere. You ain't missing much!

  • Kikazaru Koi ni wa Riyuu ga Atte

    64. Kikazaru Koi ni wa Riyuu ga Atte

    Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes

    9.0

The drama strikes the perfect balance between romcom and slice-of-life, delivering a heartfelt and inspiring story about overcoming life's challenges and pushing through tough times while keeping it light and fun throughout.

The camaraderie between the housemates felt refreshingly genuine with their unwavering support for one another rather than being at each other's throats!
I also loved sprinkles of simple yet meaningful life lessons here and there.

While the drama isn’t flawless or perfect (with the love triangle and misunderstanding trope dragging on longer than necessary sometimes) the undeniable chemistry between the leads and a lot of wholesome, feel-good moments make this worth a watch.

  • Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart!

    65. Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart!

    9.0

    Watched While Airing!

This series has it all—action, drama, romance, and a strong storyline that kept me engaged from start to finish. The characters were complex and yet easy to connect and relate with, especially Joker, whose moral struggles and desire for freedom make him both fascinating and relatable. Jack, on the other hand, undergoes a heartbreaking transformation and watching his internal battle adds real emotional depth to the story.

The chemistry between the leads is electric, making their evolving relationship a standout feature of the series. What I really appreciated was how the show took its time with their romance, offering a slow yet satisfying build-up. The visuals are stunning, capturing the contrast between wealth and poverty, and the social themes add a layer of depth that elevates the narrative. This is a standout BL drama with fantastic performances, rich storytelling, and unexpected twists—definitely worth watching.

This series totally surprised me! The leads have AMAZING chemistry and acted so well and honestly, that’s what made it so engaging.

The anthology concept at the beginning was super fresh and unique, and they executed it really well. But I will say towards the end, they kinda dropped that concept, which left me a bit disappointed.
Still, overall, it was a solid watch. Definitely recommend it! ✅

A mini series with 4 eps. It was a good one time watch. The actors has good chemistry to pull a full BL series. Yes it has flaws like relying too much on cliché , the pace of the story but considering the short run time , it is good one time no brainer watch.

This mini-drama just didn't land for me. The chemistry was decent, but the characters and their motivations behind major actions were frustrating. Seriously, it felt so unrealistic at times. The kisses were good, but that's really the only thing that was memorable to me.

This was a light and enjoyable one time watch drama for me. It focuses more on the romance than the actual sports. The first few episodes were solid with good character development but then it got kinda slow, dragging out misunderstandings way too long when it could have been solved easily. The characters were mostly likable, but some like Taejun’s sister’s story, were super predictable. And don’t even get me started on the older lady on the team , it was so frustrating to watch and FL justifying her actions really took me out. Recommended on  if you are into melodrama and don’t mind plot holes here and there.
