Hidden Gems of 2021
The list comprises of dramas that I think might have not been that hyped but their content was worth it.

1. Youth of May
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
It was like a poem. Portraying old school soothing love with political backdrop. All the elements made this drama heart wrenching. The actors were delightful to watch.

2. Law School
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
If you are a law or crime genre lover this one is a must watch. Totally worth watching, giving you adrenaline rush in each episode. You'll love the twist and turns of events.

3. Shitteru Waifu
Japanese Drama - 2021, 11 episodes
Motaharu travels back in time several times only to realise the unchangeable love for his wife. I loved this one more than the original Korean version. Everything was almost perfect and the changes in this adaption was more appealing to me.

4. Don't Disturb My Study
Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes
Nan Xiang Wan seemed to time travel to her senior high school days preparing for entrance exam. Her journey reflects her own and fellow classmates potential and room for infinite growth. This storytelling was itself a masterpiece. Don't be discouraged by the ratings. I would suggest giving this drama a try.

A really wholesome story which is also a tearjerker. If I had to describe it in a line-

6. Octogenarian and the 90s
Chinese Drama - 2021, 43 episodes
This drama tugs at your heartstrings. Growing old seems frightening but still inevitable. Their struggles, disabilities, hesitancy made my heart ache. I loved the interactions between the two generations. Seemed like all had a story to tell.

7. Rattan
Chinese Drama - 2021, 30 episodes
Plant-human hybrid Si Teng and Qin Feng set out to discover their mystery of the past while facing demons. What will happen if all those events were connected.

8. Nijiiro Karute
Japanese Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
Kureno Masora is a young who is hiding her illness at a clinic located in a small village called "Niji no Mura" and treating them. Masora gets to meet the interesting villagers and gradually learns about facing life enthusiastically. This wholesome drama is worth watching.

Thai Drama - 2020, 3 episodes
How much social media can affect the underage. Without proper knowledge of technology how much risk are they facing- this is depicted in this mini series. Though this was released in 2020, it's still ongoing that's why adding this to this list.

Chinese Drama - 2021, 40 episodes
A journey between a special police officer and a doctor. No misunderstandings, no families trying to create differences, no nagging third party. Just understanding mature love between the leads.
