Can confirm that the below actresses are legit and their talent exceeds, if not match, their beauty. (unlike li yiu fei or fan bing bing *coughs cough* like, even if they are busy i cannot watch their acting and take them seriously)

Zhao Li Ying
Chinese
Discovered her through Princess Agents, where she plays the badass heroine. I watched her other dramas, and although I dropped some of them (aka ones where she played weak characters), there's no doubt about her versatility.
You can trust that Zanilia will deliver whatever character she's supposed to play.
*BONUS: She's SO pretty. OMG.

Liu Shi Shi

Of my other favorite actresses, I'd say Cecilia's the most plain looking (again, relative to all the other beautiful actresses in the industry), but her acting is great. I loved her after Sound of the Desert.
I dropped Scarlet Heart because it was so long (might re-visit it one day; we'll see), but I'm definitely looking forward to watching more of her work.

Although her acting isn't top notch, she's one of my favs because she's so pretty and cute! She had great chemistry with the male lead in King's Woman, so I love her out of that drama alone.
Pro tip: that drama as a whole sucked, and I skipped through most of the drama but if I go back, I'd still watch it purely for the chemistry btwn her and Zhang Vin's parts tbh.)(I discovered her through Ten Miles of Peach Blossom, and her storyline was the only reason I watched that drama.)
May or may not watch more of her work soon!
