A well-made classic school rom-com with childhood friend trope
This is a bittersweet classic school rom-com with childhood friend trope but Maeken and Haru make it work so well. I can feel the tingling sensation like a cat rubs her tiny nails on my heart, it hurts but i would pay every thing to experience it again. Maeda Kentaro is so pretty and Haru is always cute. They both have good acting and lovely chemistry both onscreen and offscreen. They always seem to have fun behind the scene. Regarding the drama, it has a good story flow, making us long for next week. The side characters are also cute and play an important role in their relationship development. It has a beautiful theme song too.But I HATE THE COLOR. The green filter makes every color disappear and it's so ugly.
Overall, I wish this show will have a second and even a third season (but pls change the green filter)

An emotion roller coaster
We're Both Grooms has only 50 minutes screentime but it gives us everything: chaotic moments, heartwarming scenes, family bond, social acceptance and especially education about LGBT+ community and their disadvantages in Japan, which many full-length shows don't even mention just a little bit. At the end of it, after cracking up so many times that I alr lost count, I find myself ugly sobbing about their honest confession and their true intention for making each other happy with the cheering from family and friends. I wholeheartedly wish for their lifelong happiness.I purely love this one so much and to me it's a 10/10 show bc I don't think anything could be better done than this. 50 minutes of emotion roller coasters ended beautifully with a warm wedding! If you have never watched this one, pls watch it right now. I myself watched more than 10 times!!

A clumsy love hidden by miscommunication and misunderstanding portrayed by peak acting and directing
Yes, there is love.As I read up to Chapter 5/6 of the manga, I can assure you all they both love each other. But they have their tiny miscommunication and misunderstanding. There are reasons for both Mizuki's tyrant behaviour and Yoh's upset mood. I don't want to say more because it is a spoiler but you guys can rest assure, they will figure this out themselves and Mizuki will prove that he is a good husband - Yes, husband. Not boyfriend or slave-owner.
The pilot is solid with good acting skills and chemistry from the cast. If you look carefully, Kouhei really pays attention to a portray a double-sided character: changing his voice tones, facial expressions and body language. Atsuki is cute and also have diverse expressions, we can see his frustration, doubts, suffering and even tiny panting when they do it. Kouhei and Atsuki are not playing at all - they are eating!
About directing, we can enjoy this drama as Director Ayaka from OFC , Director Shinju from Jack Frost and Director Emi are doing their best in adapting a smut manga into something watchable for the public while still keep the goodness of the orginal story. The OP and ED video are made by Director Emi and they are pretty. The OP song Traumerei is good but the OP song Nostalgia is the real MVP here because of its upbeat melody with meaningful lyrics tailored to the story.
Rewatch values is 10/10 for me because I lowkey watched it 5 times already.
