Twinkling Watermelon

Bravo!I can't believe it's finished, and how sad I am to see it done. This show has been the perfect incantation for "it's about the journey, not the destination" for me. It's crazy how we got baited into investing in a bunch of characters during the first two episodes, and then completely switching the scenery, with a twist to boot.I am so happy to see everyone living the happiness they deserve. I wish we got to see more about how the Grandmother coped with Yi Chan's loss afterward, but seeing everyone in the present and how they are told that everyone overcame that accident and lived happily to tell the story in the present. From the ground up, absolutely amazing show, with a great starting point and an amazing end, with not a single drop in quality throughout.

Full Cirlce

I let my guard down.Throughout the episode, there were so many tense moments, and even with the title itself being about the accident, I kept my guard up just in case something swipes the happiness away, because God, was it looking so happy for a while. Maybe that was my cue. But I did not want to accept the inevitable reality. I hate that it happened, but I love how it happened, perfectly like the Dad told Eun Gyeol, that he will save him no matter what, and in this case, even at the cost of his well-being.Either way, I'm at least very satisfied with how the living-in teacher was done and exposed, even though I wanted more to befall her. Perhaps we will get a glimpse at her in 2023 if she still lives.

Clear And Shining

I can't get enough of Chung Ah and Yi Chan scenes, seriously, even when they are just signing, it's peak TV.I don't think there ever was a K-drama "villain" that enraged me like Chung Ah's homestay tutor, gotta give props to the actress because clearly, she is doing a perfect job at enacting the most horrible human being ever.It feels weird that both Eun Gyeol and Se Kyeong are aware of each other, and how deeply connected they have been ever since the beginning, but at as least, a huge weight was put off my chest weirdly enough, although, now, it seems every other plot point was answered just in time to make it for THE biggest defining knot in the narrative. How did Yi Chan lose his hearing, and to be hones, I don't even want to know.

Butterflies

This is what I was waiting for, and who would have thought?I love the idea that what blows the cover at the end is letting go of the 90s lifestyle and using your smartphone for once. I also find it funny how they looked surprised and disappointed at the end, not because of the outcome, but because one is an iPhone user, while the other is a Samsung user.Whenever Cheong Ah smiles I smile too. She's so delicate and caring, and with so much trauma that she's willing to sacrifice her entire happiness if it meant to provide the slightest convenience to others.

We're From Totaly Different Worlds

The heartbreak had to come, even though we're hovering on top of the finish line. It's so sad yet so beautiful, how Cheong Ah tells Yi Chan that she's from a totally different world when in reality, he is bound to lose his hearing and eventually enter her "world" so to speak, and also how Se Kyeong tells essentially the same to Eun Gyeol when in reality, he IS from her same world. The festival performance ended up being very anticlimactic, but it was never about it, but more so about the journey leading to it.

Revelation

This episode was all over the place. I feel like a breather is needed. The fact that he spilled the beans, even if the dad did not take a word as the truth, it was still a tad satisfying to see him blow off some steam off his chest.I can't believe Choi Se almost blew her cover for a Squid Game reference. This show can be wild sometimes! The way those crooks jumped them at the late-night rehearsal enraged me more than any other moment did, just seeing the scumbag leader hit the dad so hard his drums started ringing made me jump off my seat. But hopefully, his hearing wasn't affected, which is both good but also grim knowing that maybe, the way it happens in the future is mc more gruesome and unforgiving.

Watermelon Sugar

And it's been formed!!!It already feels like such a journey, and what's even more exciting is that it's not done yet. I don't know whether to be happy because there is still some content left from this peak television, or if I should be sad because the real tragedy hasn't happened yet, and the man on TV has only teased it this late in the game.Again, mom and dad are the cutest couple, I swear. Literally, the one character drive me at this point, not that the rest are bad but it's just that this one is too good.

Lock In!

FINALLY, The stars are aligning. It feels like for the first time, everything is on the right track, hopefully, it lasts till the end or my anxiety is gonna get the best out of me. Mom and dad are truly, the cutest, most adorable couple—both in the past and in the future.

Confrontation

So glad to have Eun Geyol back, and even more happy about how while he was absent from the main plot line, he was already deeply invested in another plotline which eventually diverged by the end of the episode and merged together with the main plotline. I'm happy that he finally stood up for his mom, it felt so satisfying to see her slowly coming out from her only bubble. However, I wish he didn't give Choi Se the privilege of his confession. I don't like the bugger.

A Compromise

You know a show is special when the supposed "main" character can be put to the side without the whole show losing its identity, because this is a cast with real individualism and parallel stories, and that's very rare to come by.The girl impersonating her mother caught me off guard, I wonder how they are gonna play these multiple time-traveling points, as how I see it, if either one of them gets what they want, the other will come off as defeated as their goals directly oppose each other's.

The Pieces Are Aligning

Midway through the show, it already shows what I presume is the main conflict in the story. It seems like, just when Eun Geyol stopped trying, his dad and mom made contact, it's like it was always meant to be. But then again, the Viva La Vida man said that the future has already started to change, whether he's bluffing or not remains to be seen. The scene at the end with Eun Geyol unconscious, being transported to the operation room as he faintly calls his parents, and them being present there was just so poetic.

Branch Out

Ever since the start of the show, Eun Geyol has had some of a grasp of the next events, so he has been navigating somewhat well in between them, placing himself carefully where he thinks it's best for the moment. However, it seems the past is either changing, this affecting the future, or some secret events that everyone chose to forget about is starting to unfold. This might have been the start to whatever shook the youth of the trio, something so sever, that their future selves always dodged reminiscing about or even answering when queried.I really love the bromance Eun Gyol has formed with his father so far, they look like a better sibling duo than him and his real brother.

Forming The Bond

Very wholesome episode, something about seeing his Dad in the past being all carefree and happy, living the moment to its fullest is very bittersweet, knowing what he goes through afterward.I really want him to meet with his mom and surprise er by using sign language for some reason. Also, I wonder if this show is really gonna go "the changing the future from the past" route or if it's just gonna be about him learning to cope with his reality after having taken a fresh look from the perspective of his parents.

Fight Back

The run around was so frustrating, for the right reasons. It seems that this coming-of-age story is about to take a much harsher turn. I don't know what about the whole thing of him being stuck on the past, interacting with people he met on his original timeline has me wanting him to hold back on doing anything crazy, well, aside from the fact that it's weird knowing where he came from but also, because I don't know how deep this show will go with thee whole time-shifting aspect of the narrative, I'm just here on the edge of my seat trying to count the number of times this hot-headed teenager was almost forcing the past to branch off its course.

Breakdown And Resonance

Sigh.Sometimes, I like to imagine myself as a snobby, world-renowned appraiser who would look down on every other acclaimed "masterpiece" in such an immense lack of interest, trying to show off how high my standards are and how hard it is to even come close to meeting them, yes, I have a wild imagination that runs me down sometimes, but that depiction is far, far away from my real self. But if it were true, this episode would have been the one gem to shatter my expressionless snarl and send me into an exclamation spree.I might just retire. Now, the above may not have made any kind of sense, but that just shows how speechless I was left at the start, during, and at the end of this episode. As if the pilot was not evident enough, this was the golden trophy in bright daylight.I think this might be the best K-drama, or even Asian drama when it comes to "acting", and I mean it in the literal meaning when I say that. The expression, the animated faces, shaky movements, the voice cracks, everything is just spectacular. This is a new high for the medium to me.Now, I have started to put up a few plot threads together during the last episode, and it became even clearer as this one continued, so I kind of saw the plot twist coming, and I wish I hadn't because the delivery would have been even more mind-blowing for me, however, the acting has taken me aback. And this might end up being my favorite show ever.
