Similar to The Babadook

If you enjoyed The Babadook you will enjoy this. This is basically the Korean version with some differences. The mother seems to be dealing with severe mental health issues similar to the mother in The Babadook. Hye and Min seem to be going through some hardships due to Min losing his job for plagiarism which they talk about a lot. in the film, but it also seems like Hye might of been dealing with mental health issues well before her husband got into legal trouble at work. I think Hye might be schizophrenic or she was experiencing a severe mental breakdown by the time they moved to their new house. I think their real problem was when they adopted Woo, especially with how the film ended. She was probably already possed or she is probably a demon child. The end leaves you guessing if she was actually responsible for Hye going crazy. She was adopted afterall and Hye started acting differently when Hye and Min adopted her specifically Hye.

Wasted potential

I was really enjoying this show until near the end. I think there is a trend now in 2023 where Korean bls are now avoiding the bl in bl dramas, like they will keep the two men liking each other but will avoid them getting romantic with each other. They made it obvious that the two male leads liked each other and they even admitted it near the end, but they added an unnecessary villain where Tae Hyun friend was jealous that he started to hang out with Da Yeol more often and he felt neglected and it seemed that he liked Tae romantically. He kept interfering so much that he ended up getting Yeol to drop out of school when Tae lied to himself when he told Yeol he didn't like him like that and he was using him which we knew was a lie. Cuz I didn't read the manhwa I don't know how the plot was before it got changed for the drama but I feel like the ending for the drama was supposed to have a sad ending and saw it was going to do bad and had to refilm the ending. I need to read the manhwa to be sure, they had 2 yr jump from when Yeol dropped out and both Tae and Yeol are in university. This time jump seemed so rushed too. After 2 yrs passed they are both in university both Tae nor Yeol haven't seen one other. The ending implied they got together but they never said they were in a romantic relationship. They just started hanging out again after they got reunited again and Tae told Yeol he made a mistake, so Yeol said he would wait for Tae to confess then all of a sudden they are going to the beach and stay at a rented house. They flirt a lot and talk throughout the night. Tae doesn't want to sleep cuz he doesn't want to lose any more time while being with Yeol which was cute don't get me wrong. They had a lot of cute moments together but I feel like the director was avoiding intimacy between them.

Enjoyable but could of been so much better.

I started to lose interest after the main couple got together. When I noticed they started slowing down with them I started to focus my attention more on the side couple but they got completely ignored and I hope like everyone said we get a separate season with them. This show has such good potential but the story started to go nowhere when they kept throwing in random plots especially when they added the father who was against the main couple's relationship. They were all good actors tho but the show fell short. The ending felt super rushed and I felt they ran out of story to write, wish they hadn't added an abusive father troupe. If you are looking for a happy ending this show has one but it doesn't feel satisfying.

I would definitely rewatch it. I felt nostalgic because of the flip phones and the clothes. There where a lot of cute moments between the couple and jealously. They where both stubborn when they got jealous of each other and I wanted to shake them and tell them to just speak to one another. Through out the movie they where both jealous of when their old female classmate shows up. There is a love triangle but it ends well in the end. I highly recommended this to you if you tend to like happy endings only.

Definitely worth the watch when you want to watch something feel good.

I really enjoyed watching this, it was a really sad and heartwarming story. You feel sad about what happened to Seo Ri. Especially after being in a coma for 13 yrs. When you experience her journey of her trying to get her life together after that tragic car accident you also witness the other people who were also frozen in time as she was but they weren't so fortunate to be in a coma as she was. She remained innocent and pure which could be a blessing and curse due to the fact she was asleep for 13 yrs while the other people she met who were affected by this tragic accident suffered severe ptsd. They all didn't know they were connected by this one tragic event, Seo Ri unbeknownst herself after waking up from her coma started to heal the people she lived with to be awake and live with the trauma of the outcome of the accident. Her pureness of still being a child mentally and emotionally started to heal Woo Jin and Jennifer who were victims as well of the tragic car accident only by knowing the people who were direct victims suffered from severe ptsd. Seo Ri helped them learn how to love again and helped them heal while they were frozen in time. They felt like they had to protect Seo Ri cuz she was so childlike they couldn't help but feel like they had to be there for her. She was still mentally a 17 yr old when she woke up cuz that's how old she was when she went into her coma. When she finally did wake up she was 30. Seo Ri had a really hard time coming to terms with the fact she was no longer a child but an adult when to her the accident was recent and not that 13 yrs had passed. So you get to witness that which makes you sad but you feel how everyone grows to love sweet and innocent Seo Ri you feel the love that follows her. Even Woo Jin's nephew who is 17 seems to be wise for his age for someone who isn't so bright. I think he had to grow up when he saw his uncle having severe depression and made 6 yr old Chan grow up. So even if Chan didn't know it, he was also an indirect victim of the same car accident cuz he grew up witnessing his teenage uncle fall into a deep deep depression cuz his uncle blamed himself for Seo Ri's accident. Chan managed to convince Woo Jin to Seo Ri stay with them so she can be able to get on her feet and find her family cuz when she woke up she was all alone. You will really enjoy the ending too it was such a good ending. The only thing I couldn't stop thinking about was very minor plot holes cuz even tho Seo Ri was asleep for 13 yrs and didn't know how to use smartphones cuz they didn't exist the way we know them now when she went into a come around 2005 and the modern smartphone that we know it know came out in 2007/08 like iPhone and android, she still knew how to use the computer and the internet. She asked Chan to use the internet and looked confused at Chan handed her an android phone, so when she started to use a laptop they had she used the internet, I can't fully remember what exactly she looked for online but what kept bothering me is that she never once looked up to see where her family was or her friends. If she did look up family I don't remember but I kept saying if she knew how to use the internet why wasn't she searching for her family and friends you would see Woo Jin constantly looking up information on Seo Ri's family and friends but never saying anything until near the end of the drama. I think the reason why she never bothered to check cuz the nurses at the hospital she stayed at lied to her for her recovery but it still bothered me that she never even tried to see where they could be. Like even not to go directly to her High School to meet up with old teachers but I guess the writers didn't think it was necessary to the plot. So that's why I brought up it's just a me thing. Anyways I hope you enjoy/ed the drama as much as I did it was super cute and I hope I can find another drama similar to this cuz I left feeling really satisfied with the entire story which is rare for me.

I really enjoyed it except for one thing

I hate open endings, the show was extremely well-written and the actors did a superb job. Everything was amazing, especially the ost but the damn open ending. Idk what is going up lately with Japan but the last few dramas that are new have been open endings and it erks the shit out of me. I had really enjoyed this drama a lot up until they made the ml character keep running away from the fl which is completely understandable due to the fact he is deaf and is still coming to terms with his deafness and doesn't want to burden anyone with his impairment. His self-consciousness suffers a lot due to him going deaf out of nowhere before graduating high school and gradually getting worse when he is in university. Anyone would have a difficult time losing any of their senses. The part that bothered me is that near the end of the drama they really really heavily focused on his issues on him not wanting to be a burden in multiple episodes. After like 2nd or 3rd ep of the plot still on him trying to run away from the fl due to his deafness I had to take a break and come back to the drama cuz I had a feeling the writers/directors weren't going to have enough time to allow the ml or fl be together after the struggle they both had to endure with them breaking up in high school cuz the ml was going deaf and had to come to terms with his deafness and he still didn't really come to terms with it when you follow his story in the show. We get to see his character development throughout the show that he isn't a burden that he kept assuming he was going to be he just couldn't take not being able to listen to music anymore and be able to communicate like he used to. Again it is completely understandable, I just wish the problem between the fl and the ml didn't take so long to resolve. It is implied the couple got together but they never flat out come out with it which pissed me off and that's why I had to take a break. Would I recommend it yes but you have been warned the ending for me personally could have been better. Did I enjoy myself yes I did, but the ending left a sour taste in my mouth it took away everything that was building up between the two leads to just the end without knowing if they became a couple or stayed friends. Would I rewatch it, no, it was good but the ending ruined it for me.

Could of been better but I still recommend this

Everything was amazing but the stupid mother. The ending could have been better but they focused on the mother being a social climber too much and the male coworkers sexually assaulting their female employees. Jin Ah's mother was too much, she was mentally, verbally, emotionally, and physically abusive towards everyone. She was self-aware she was a bitch and a snob. She didn't care who she stepped on and pissed off. All she cared about was connections and becoming rich and powerful. She even told Joon Hee that's all she cared about which made her even worse than I expected. She was so caught up with marrying up in society she didn't care how her family felt. Everyone else was ok with Jin As and Joon Hee's relationship either straight away or they just came to terms with it eventually but Jin Ah's mother flat-out refused and made everyone miserable. Even when Jin Ah's gets cheated on by her long-term almost fiancée she kept trying to pressure Jin Ah's to take him back, she is also misogynist she would excuse if he did something bad and be like that's what men do they mess up but you make up. It was so disgusting to see her mother be such a bitch throughout the entire series. Poor Jin Ah had to deal with so much abuse not only from her ex-bf, her mother and her male coworkers. The mess was almost too much almost taking away from Jin Ah's and Joon Hee's relationship. They ended up breaking up cuz of Jin Ah's mother and her messy work problem, Joon Hee was trying to get Jin Ah to go with him to get relocated for work but she turned him down. So we get a time jump and they finally get back together so we do get a happy ending but it's just so ridiculous how much her mother made everyone's life so miserable, you would think Jin Ah was a child but she was almost in her 40s. Like I understand different cultures and social norms but this was insane, I'm surprised her husband just didn't file for a divorce she was that unreasonable. Even their son Jin Ah's brother Seung couldn't take it anymore and told their mother that if she continued to harass Jin Ah she would possibly take her own life cuz of how abusive and stubborn she was to force her family to get rich and be part of that society. Like right before Jin Ah and Joon Hee broke up she kept telling Jin Ah that she couldn't wait for her to go on more blind dates she wanted to arrange and meet a rich wealthy man. She completely ignored what her son said cuz she is so self-absorbed with becoming wealthy again I am surprised her husband hadn't divorced her. You could tell how fed up everyone was with her bs. It was so bad that Jin Ah had to finally get her own place which again I understand in Asia living with your parents until you're married hell even when they are married it's normal to still live with them, but she should have moved out sooner knowing her mom was this difficult even before he ex-bf cheated on her. You see her brother mention it a few times they all know how difficult their mother is. Besides the bs you have to watch with Jin Ah's mother Jin Ah's and Joon Hee's relationship is super cute and they have amazing chemistry you basically don't see or feel the age gap which is only 10 yrs apart making him in his late 20s. This wasn't even the issue for the mother btw it was just cuz he was from a "bad family" and a "low rank" Joon Hee's father cheated on his mother so Jin Ah's mother didn't see him as fit to marry her daughter, I bet if he was rich and a son of a CEO she would have turned a blind eye cuz that's how she was with Jin Ah's ex. He wasn't rich or a son of CEO but he was becoming wealthy with his job/connections. Which Jin Ah's mother wanted. No one seemed to care about the age gap, the other thing that Jin Ah's mom kept bringing up was that she "raised" Hae In and his sister so they are "family" but she treated them like complete shit once she found out Jin Ah was dating Hae in. When Joon Hee and Jin Ah were together I just kept feeling butterflies and warm and fuzzy inside they were so cute together. I just kept getting lost in Hae In eyes and how handsome he is. So would I rewatch this probably not just because of Jin Ah's mother and when they get back together for me personally didn't feel satisfying, the ending was probably rushed like most of these dramas they focus on the drama on the leads while making someone a villain they don't focus on the ending until the money is running out so it feels half-assed. Would I recommend it maybe depends on who I'm talking to and they don't mind what I experienced as much. The relationship between Jin Ah and Joon Hee is good enough to tolerate Jin Ah's mother's abusive behavior but just barely.

This was a big no for me

I took a break cuz I couldn't handle that annoying girl meddling in someone's life she considered her friends when in reality she was absolutely insane and used her guilt to keep a guy close to her cuz her sister died in an accident that he was involved in. Once she finds out he was in a relationship her "best friend" appears and encourages her to act even more unstable to get the man she thought she owned. She even tries to kill herself twice! Her "friend" leaves still thinking her "friend" failed for not fighting or doing it right. They later try to make it seem like this batch shit crazy bitch got a happy ending but it was written badly, poor acting and you can tell they probably added on the parts with her getting with the pink hair guy to try to give her a happy ending after everything she did especially trying to break up a relationship, force a man that clearly didn't love her and everyone knew didn't love her, she probably had a feeling but refused to acknowledge it cuz she was crazy. When she gets dumped at the alter she wants to kill herself again. Right when the show introduces that plot the show is no longer good and it is poorly written. If they just kept the plot of the girl with the glasses trying to get her dad's approval of letting his daughter be independent and not have to be in an arranged marriage the show would have been 10 out of 10, but they had to continue the crazy "friend" who thought the singer was her property up until the very end of the damn show. it ruined the whole show for me the atmosphere changed and the show became cringy and not worth the watch if you are like me. Oh, and I forgot to add this part after everything this damn couple goes through right at the fucking end of the last ep they try to add more drama just cuz they want to separate the couple with two really huge life-changing opportunities that you'll be stupid to say no to but they both say no and stayed in China to stay together. The whole time I was like seriously what more do you want to add to this show even at the very last second, I'm surprised they didn't try a wedding scene for the 3rd time. I think they didn't add it cuz when you start the drama on the 1st ep you see the female lead running away from getting married cuz it was arranged and the 2nd was with that crazy girl near the end when she was using suicide as leverage to keep the singer as her property and to marry her. So I guess the writers had to draw the line in 2 wedding scenes.....

Super cute and Funny but short like all the Korean BLs

I really enjoyed watching this, I may or may not rewatch this if I was bored, would I recommend this? Yes, I would but only if they needed something desperately to watch. It has a happy ending but it wasn't satisfactory. They took so much out of the webtoon which is very typical coming from Korea. I knew they were going to take out the spicy when making the drama but they took out the ending when they show the two mls moving in together and hiring a new assistant. I would of loved to see them pretending they weren't a couple in front of the assistant while she knew the whole time cuz they were bad at hiding it and she accepted them just to find out she is a bl fan.

I was very funny at times, crazy at times with the violence and had a good amount of family tension. The only thing they never cleared in the whole series is why Do Hyuns cousins hated him so much other than his father having family beef to be in control of their family business. I could of been he hated his cousin being better than him or they both liked the same girl at some point but it was never really made clear to why he went after his cousin so hard it didn’t seem like he was being really pressured by his father to do it so it seem like he really didn’t like his cousin or just was brainwashed to hate the main family. Other then that it was so sad to see Chan Do Hyun suffer with D.I.D. Some of the personalities where so funny and the actor playing Do Hyun did a really good job playing a man with multiple personality disorder. He had me crying a few times especially near the end when Shin Se Gi departed and left Do Hyun I didn’t want to see Se Gi go. When I found out that both Do Hyun and Oh Ri Jin where both in that basement together I started crying so much. Poor Do Hyun had to split him self to protect her real got to me that poor child having to experience that at 7 years old really pulled at my heart strings. The character that really made me laugh was Yo Na I really loved her fan girl obsession at times and when he started calling Ri On her oppa while in Do Hyuns body. I wish we could of seen how the multiple personalities would of looked like if they weren’t a personality but as how they saw themselves like if they where real people. I really recommend this if you are curious if this is good. Oh and before I forget I would of liked to of known what happened to Do Hyuns father if he went to jail or a hospital for what he did to Ri Jin and Do Hyun after he woke up from his 21 year coma, they just left him in his hospital room crying for his sins.

Still waiting to see how this ends

This show had so much potential and it still does maybe but... this show has too many leads, I high key wish it wasn't so focused on everyone. Idk why I didn't expect it to be this way when the description legit states a group of friends. They need to add the tags for multiple leads & multiple couples, I wish Pond and Phuwin had their own show, I found myself skipping most of the other couples/other leads most of the time. I really want to see Phum and Peem's characters romance develop more but they haven't had the chance to due to the group aspect of the story this show was written in. I hope in the future Pond and Phuwin get their own show without focusing on to many leads taking away from the story in my opinion. I will keep watching until the series ends and I will update this. As for right now, the show is dragging along with character/relationship development.

This show is so cringy and bad! Couldn't even get passed ep 4

I really tried my hardest and I rarely drop series cuz I want to give it a chance but the acting/script that was given to them was completely garbage. It was extremely hard to get through that I kept skipping scenes to the point that I wasn't even watching the show anymore. I don't recommend it to anyone unless you are desperate and even then don't waste your time. The doctor stalks his ex after they broke up and continues to annoy the other ml to get back with him once he finds out his ex works at this convenience store that is near his job. He makes his job difficult to be at until he gets his way, before I dropped the show it looked like the ml who works at the convenience store was starting to let him back into his life but mostly cuz the doctor is a childish annoying whinny baby threatened him that he will come to his job every single day until he started to talk to him again I think. I don't remember cuz I forgot this show existed cuz of how bad this is and started to watch better written and have better actors. I tried to watch it after the break I took and couldn't tolerate how annoying a childish the doctor was to get his ex back talking in baby.

Don't recommend

Happy ending but it wasn't worth sitting through, it was pure torture I don't remember the character's name, but the show had unnecessary drama for the leads and supporting characters. The drama literally was dragged until the very end, it has an obsessed high schooler who became infatuated with one of the male lead's boyfriends. I can't remember if it started off to be petty and annoy the one he was rivals with and later turned into obsession love but my god the male lead one who wants to be a celebrity didn't trust his bf who was a tutor it was part of his job to tutor students who hired him. I can't remember why he still continued to tutor his stalker but the two male leads get into constant fights cuz the wannabe celebrity let his jealousy take over destroying his relationship with his bf knowing full well his bf wouldn't cheat on him but he let his stupidity take over. The supporting cast I don't remember much just one has anger issues and the other didn't want to date someone younger and i think he still had trust issues and didn't want to let someone in cuz of his past. I don't recommend at all unless you like sitting through intense drama.

Completely obsessed

I'm obviously biased when I say this drama has become one of my favorites for bls, they had so good chemistry that made me fall for their characters. The character development of Noey was amazing to see cuz he was such a troublemaker. Seeing Noey trying to improve himself was so cute. He was so stubborn, it was 1st for Thi cuz of his crush but when he started to become self-aware of how he used to be you can tell that Noey no longer wanted to be the person he was before he met Thi. He was so caught up in being too egotistical and chaotic that he never noticed the people he was hurting. It wasn't until his mother got hurt that he stopped and do better for himself and his family. Thi was just the trigger to get him to see that. Seeing them fall in love was so cute cuz Thi was so oblivious to his own feelings when he met Noey. I was a bit confused at the start if Thi had feelings for Noey that only Noey could see or if it was just a misunderstanding cuz Noey assumed Thi liked him and he kept bringing it up showing how cocky he was knowing he was good-looking. Eventually, Thi did start developing a crush on Noey as for Noey I think he was interested in Thi from the start especially cuz he was turned off by the idea that Thi could have been attracted to him. He looked like he enjoyed the fact that Thi was attracted to him that Noey didn't notice himself falling to Tho. I feel like Noey was projecting his feeling onto Noey when he would bring up when he thought that Thi liked him 1st when it was the other way around. It was only because Thi and Noey kept running into each other for the both of them to realize that were falling for one another but Noey was more obvious vs Thi was oblivious. At the end when they showed the time jump cuz they were living apart due to Thi going to study in another university I felt like they were rushing the ending I'm happy that Noey graduated from university and Thi and Noey got their happy ending but it made me wish the ending wasn't so rushed. The writers and directors should of given us more of a plot near the end. I doubt we'll get a s2 so it can feel complete but I'm just happy for Thi and Noey. If they hadn't introduced Thi's stupid parents who broke them up due to them not liking Noeys past of being in a gang and thinking that Noey was going to ruin Thi's life I feel like the ending wouldn't have been so rushed. I understand where Thi's family is coming from but they were judging a book by its cover without getting to know Noey 1st and refused to.

I know I might be hyping the show up when I say this is the best korean bl in ages but compared to what has come out in Korea in the past this is really the best. The story was really good and i knew if more Korean producers and directors would try to make really well made bls they would have so many fans all over their series just as long as no one dies or goes to jail. For me personally I feel like Korea has really great series in all my experiences in watching Asian dramas. They make such amazing heterosexual dramas but almost no bl series and if they do have any drama or movie's with any LGBTQ characters they are almost 10 years old. So now to the series I'm not going to be spoiling the plot so you can have the opportunity to watch it yourself but I will say if you wont be disappointed with the end. The only downside because Korea doesn't really make bl series as much and they tend to be web series they are relatively short. I wish the series had more eps and the eps where longer I think they where about 10-15 mins long so we can get the chance to see rhe characters stroy development better but other than that the series, story, music and acting was very good. As a person who got use to cringy, low budget, amateur acting and at some points questionable story plots I'm glad to see a more professional look on bl series that isn't just from Thailand.
