It's a musical. Keep that in mind.

Overall
If you like Musical it would be a great watch and if you like the storyline they maybe give it a try. I went in just from the description and I thought I would love it but the musical part doesnt go too well with me. It is still OkayI have not seen the anime or read the manga btw

Story
The story was good but the beginning felt rushed and the rest felt draggy. I think that the pacing problem had to do with all the songs that kept happening at points that felt random. Like the very first song felt out of nowhere completely. There were other songs that were great transitions and moments of expressing feelings too, so they were not all random. As for the storylines, most felt complete except for the one with the female coworker at the beginning. I thought that was going somewhere. Also, the ending felt like it was being set up for the type of ending that many K-dramas have but then it didn't happen.

Acting/Cast
The acting was pretty good. I liked Kento portraying the ML and as for Takahata Mitsuki its the first time I have seen any of her work, but she was good too. They both seem to have put a lot of effort into their characters and time to learn all the choreographed and songs.

Music
I think that the musical aspect of the film actually hurt it in my personal opinion but I cannot deny that the singing and dancing was beautiful. It is clear and evident that there was so much effort put into it by th cast members.

Rewatch Value
To Me, I have very little rewatch value because I don't like musicals much. However, to other people I am sure that they might want to rewatch as it had great singing and dancing and the storyline was good too.

Honestly, It was a good movie, but nothing extraordinarily good.

Story:
The storyline was good. I liked it a lot and it was just a common trope that if you live in the same house, love is bound to happen. I have a problem with how Aoi goes from being the girl that stands up to a guy in the beginning to falling for him at then end and it seems like it wasn't much time either. Honestly I had actually just seen Good Morning Call before watching this and it probably made me not appreciate the story as much, since, for the first hr, there were identical. Lead falls for the crush of her bff since she now lives with him due to reasons. I think these actually needed more time to flesh out the story. 2 hrs is too little

Acting
The acting was solid. I did enjoy the cast that they had in the movie and it felt well acted.

Overall I recommend to anyone that thinks they will enjoy it. It is worth a shot.

Story
I really liked this story. It was sweet and touching and great. The way that the present-day was actually during the adult life of the characters and the main story is then sharing the incidents that happened. I actually really like to see how the characters had ended up due to the past and how everything was connected.

Acting
All the characters were great and the cast was amazing.
Hamabe Minami is truly great. Her portrait of Yamauchi Sakura was touching and emotional.

Overall
I recommend if you liked the anime's first season and have seen live-action season 1. It is the last two arcs of animes first season retold in a different visual medium.

Story
Starting off with the fact that I have watched the anime but not read the manga. This live-action adaptation continues to be the most accurate storyline I have seen when comparing it to its anime counterpart. Very little minor details are changed but the rest is exactly the same. If you liked the anime storyline then you will like this storyline.
The biggest difference between this and the anime is that they decided to add a new storyline that only gets teased in this season and will probably get picked up later on.

Characters/Acting/Cast
The overrating continues to shine and be great. It is clear that the directed wanted the overacting that all the actors give out in this performance. They are very good at their job and overact most scenes in great ways.

Hamabe Minami as Jabami Yumiko was great as in the first season. She really knows how to play an innocent girl that goes crazy. She seems to be more comfortable with the characters around her and is now being more of the gambling addict she is. Matsuda Ruka as Sumeragi Itsuki does a good job in acting and she is more prominent in this season than in the last. Morikawa Aoi as Saotome Mary takes a backseat to give the character of Sumeragi more time to shine

Takasugi Mahiro as Suzui Ryota continues to be the biggest deviation from his anime counterpart. While the anime had his character more grounded and as a point of relatedness to see ourselves in the situation, this version of Suzuki was just as wacky as the rest of the characters. It serves some great comedic scenes at times but I would have like a more grounded version.

Music
The OP was better in the first season but the ending songs were still great.

The anime was great and so was this.

Overall
I recommend if you liked the anime and want to see the same story in a different visual medium.

Story
Starting off with the fact that I have watched the anime but not read the manga. This live-action adaptation is the most accurate storyline I have seen when comparing it to its anime counterpart. Very little minor details are changed but the rest is exactly the same. If you liked the anime storyline then you will like this storyline.
The biggest difference between this and the anime is that they decided to keep an important character that stayed in the background for most of the first season out of the story and teased the character for later on, while at the same time giving that screentime from the beginning to other characters that didn't show up till later in the first season of the anime. I'm actually okay with that.

Characters/Acting/Cast
It is clear that the directed wanted the overacting that all the actors give out in this performance. They are very good at their job and overact most scenes in great ways.

Hamabe Minami as Jabami Yumiko was great. She really knows how to play an innocent girl that does a 180 and becomes a maniac. At times she really reminded me of the way she played Menma and then she completely scares you with her addiction induced maniac episodes. Morikawa Aoi as Saotome Mary was also great. She really showed herself to be ambitious and cunning when she needed to be and also at the very low points, she showed it off.

Takasugi Mahiro as Suzui Ryota was the biggest deviation. While the anime had his character more grounded and as a point of relatedness to see ourselves in the situation, this version of Suzuki was just as wacky as the rest of the characters. It serves some great comedic scenes at times but I would have like a more grounded version.

Music
I really enjoyed the OP song a little too much. I was actively waiting for the OP just to listen to the song.

Story:
Honestly, this show really has some ups and downs in the story department. I think that this storyline would have done with only about 30 episodes. The weird part is that the first ten episodes felt like they were meant to be episodes towards the middle of the show because they felt like they assumed that you cared for the characters without even knowing them. The best parts were the Gaisoulg arc when Naga showed up in the show and the final arc with Eras. They were really episodes where I wanted to continue watching.

Characters:
The characters were very generic Toku characters. One note and hardly ever showed a different side of them. Most did not have real progression and were, for the most part, the same from beginning to end.

Acting/Cast:
The cast, in general, was good. I think there is not really much to complain about. However, Osaki Ichika really is a great actress. In the end, she really showed her great acting when feeling emotional and I have to applaud that. Ichinose Hayate also had a couple of episodes where he showed how good he was at acting.

Music:
The theme song, in my opinion, was actually really good. The closing dancing song, however, was really annoying. There was one episode in which I thought it was good, however. The one where they show that this is actually a video from Ui.

Basic show done in a very Basic way

Personally, I would say that this is not worth a watch. It's a very boring story and the characters actually change very little, especially the female lead. I will say that I actually had high hopes for this and the first few episodes were pretty okay. But after episode 3 it just kept going nowhere. The actors were okay but there wasn't really anything that stood out to make me love their acting. The characters were basically the common tropes. The MLs were the "cool", the "hotheaded" and the "eccentric" guy tropes. As for the FL, she was supposed to be the mother-like woman that helps them overcome their problems but she didn't really show many emotions, which didn't actually help sell that role. Overall This show was a basic storyline with some okay actors doing basic roles and all this has been done better by other shows before

Much better then its prequel partner.

Overall, I liked this spinoff.

It tried to give us fan service but somehow they made the story the appeal to watching this. The first two episodes were good at setting up the story (which is explained in the prequel as to how we get there) and then adding tension. After that, the third episode introduces the fan service (which looks worst than some fan-made concepts) and then does a major thing with a character loved by many. I was not expecting them to do that. Also, very gruesome scenes all throughout; very different from the show.

This is actually something that I would rewatch as part of a Zi-O rewatch. I feel that the way it ties up with the post-Zi-O ending movies is really good.

Can compare to the Anime for sure.

Overall
I think that this movie is just as great as the anime. It's one of the few where I think I personally prefer the Live-Action over the anime but they are both great.

Story:
The Story is overall the same as the one in the anime, but personally, I believe that most of the changes, which were mostly pretty small, were to get ride of nitpicks and inconsistencies that the story might have had in the anime. There were some small changes that I didn't like too but that's okay, it can't all be perfect.

Acting.
Personally, I had not seen any of the main cast in anything else except for Ishii Anna in YLIA, which I liked her in. After seeing them all, I have to say that they were pretty good in the movie and hope to see them in other things because I liked them all.

I have not seen any of the other remakes or the original, therefore they will not be part of this review.

Overall
I believe that this drama is worth a watch. If someone likes romance I recommend giving this a try.

Story
The story might not have been original but it was very entertaining. The biggest problem it had was the fact that the storyline was progressed by the main characters not understanding the full situation and act from partial knowledge. Does it need a Season 2? Well, I want one. The story left thread lines out for sideline stories to be connected by a second season. However, I also am okay if the story was to end like this. The main storyline has left enough closure to leave the character at this point of the story even with the main problem not fully resolved. You can see that both leads have a different prospect of life and they will lead their life on a different path.

Characters/Acting/Cast
Miori Takimoto did a really good portrait of Aya. You can just tell that everyone is taking advantage of the way she is at the beginning and Miori conveyed the perfect body language and tone for her. Aya is the type of character that makes you hurt when they take advantage of her and you just which that someone would help her out.

Takumi Kizu was also a really good actor and was a great Kei. In the beginning, you can see that he has almost a playboy vibe to him but you find out soon that he actually is a very nice guy and is very loyal to his GF. They there are misunderstanding and he becomes a bit of a bad person but by the end, he has learned from his mistakes and you can see he is a better person.

Anna. Ren Ishikawa is a good actress but I really disliked Anna. The way that she was towards Kei and her actions seemed like she was just a person that was used to having things her way.

It is my first time seeing Yuki Tokito act but for some reason, I didn't like it. Hayato was okay but to me, it seemed he always talked very slow and it even felt like those characters from clip teaching how to learn a language. Maybe that was just me. IDK

Music
The music was okay. I liked it enough not to skip it too often but I recently heard better. "My Love" is just good, not great.
