Ah where to begin... This BL had a lot of potential that I felt was never fully actualized. I have not watched the movie as of yet, and maybe that would go along way to filling in some plot holes. However, I feel that each work should be able to stand alone and this series didn't do that for me.

I overall enjoyed the idea of the plot and the juxtaposition of the present storyline with the past (if you want to watch a series that masters this I highly recommend Until We Meet Again) the problem lies in that somehow neither storyline seemed well laid out. This show was too slow of a burn to only have 12 episodes. Clearly from the beginning we know Bank and Golf had a relationship as high schoolers, but I feel that you never quite get the essence of how their relationship unfolded. A lot of people have said that they spent too much time on the secondary plots and I agree. I also feel that the ending was super abrupt. Season 2 is set to release this year (2020) which I am looking forward to mainly because of Fluke. It's apparent that you should watch the movie before watching season 2 as it is centered around events that take place after Golf "dies" in the movie.

Overall I thought it was a cute series. I love that Guide is not your typical BL male lead and it just made his character that much more enjoyable. I wish they would have made Golf grow up some more in his adult version, it was annoying watching him repeat a lot of the same antics he had as an adolescent to garner Bank's attention. It's a series worth a watch though definitely not a favorite for me.

*Edit*
I did watch the movie and as predicted it filled in some plot holes (while still having major pacing issues) and made me like the series a little less. It is very interesting, however, to see what things they included from the movie in the series (and how they twisted some things). The thing about movies is that they are limited by time, the series had all the time in the world to follow a better plot progression and failed. In the end I still say watch it, especially if you're as BL obsessed as I am.

This BL is firmly in the ok category. In fact for me the saving grace is Ming. Without him I probably wouldn't have even rated it a 6. There's way too much dead air with music that adds nothing to whatever feeling they were trying to create. It just ends up as an awkward staring contest between Phana/Wayo. I've heard of a slow burn, but the plot development in this show feels like pulling teeth.

Overall I felt the acting was again just ok, with the exception of Kim who's Ming brought a breath of fresh air to the series. He was funny and very handsome and honestly him not being in 2moons2 is the thing that is keeping me from watching it.

If you're a fan of BL dramas and you have the time I wouldn't discourage you from watching it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. The show has very very little rewatch value for me.

I think to the detriment of Kiss: The Series I watched the seasons of this show in chronological order of the storyline and not as they were released. I really wouldn't recommend doing that, although a lot of the holes in the plot other reviewers pointed out were filled for me because I knew the back story after watching Kiss Me Again. I fell in love with Pete/Kao and they have a very small role in this series. I ship DeeDa as do the members of the group, but I found some of the drama unnecessarily frustrating. I could have done without Sanrak/Na's storyline. Sanrak's character became increasingly frustrating as the show went on. She seemed to constantly cause issues where she meant to be helpful and what the producers probably thought made her endearing made her seem frustratingly stupid. I know it's a trope/cliche to have the head-over-heels in love girl continually forgive the cheating or otherwise mediocre boyfriend but I just couldn't deal with it. June is a great filler character. You know exactly what his role is in the show (comic relief and a tie in between characters) and it's well executed by towing the line of too annoying and too forgettable. There's nothing that would make me re-watch this show, but I HIGHLY recommend at least the spin-off Dark Blue Kiss honorable mention to the prequel Kiss Me Again.

Sorry to all the BL dramas I've watched because I am #teamperaya and admit to being biased. The more BL/Y-series i watch the more I’m convinced there is no cuter couple than Krist and Singto (Arthit/Kongpop). SOTUS/SOTUS S were so well done. The kissing scenes !! Ugh the romance. Sorry, this is not a SOTUS review. Anyway haha, i felt like the show had some holes. I thought that maybe if i had watched the movie the plot would have flowed better, but reading other reviews a lot of people have felt the same and said the movie is unrelated. First time I’ve seen a lesbian character in a main role, but of course they make her end up with a boy. Waii and Apo are cute, but their kissing scenes left a lot to be desired. At least they kissed though. Even as THE main character New is so quiet and speaks very little. I’m starting to think that’s his actual personality. Overall entertaining. Can’t lie Coach Tee and Kan’s relationship made me uncomfortable, but I was happy with Waii's character development . Overall would recommend, but it's not going into my favorites.

Yikes

TRIGGER WARNING.
Not every manga, webtoon, or novel needs to be adapted for tv. This is so cringe. Before getting into the plot just objectively this is not a good show. Without having read the synopsis for the book I first just found everything lacking in the show. No offense to Frank but I expected more. To his credit, Itt seems like a truly very difficult character to play given how incredibly annoying he is. Neither Frank nor Long is a rookie, but really I've been following Frank's career from the beginning so I know he can do better. The characters just seem to lack depth. The production is not good. A lot of the editing decisions were iffy. Chunks of dialogue don't have subs and even when they do sometimes they're so confusing.
Day is so cruel and abusive. All the spicy clips from the show in context are actually giving sexual assault. The preview was giving toxic but it wasn’t until I got to ep 5 that I was like this is incredibly cringey and deeply disturbing. I understood why after reading the synopsis of the book. A lot of people have commented on the first 2 books not having screen adaptations, but truly if this show was done well all of our understanding wouldn't be hinging on having exposure to the other 2 books. And clearly, this is the most palatable (yikes) of the books. I had higher expectations because I wanted redemption after being disappointed by unforgotten night, since they exist in the same universe, but I’m really having a hard time deciding to finish this. Rape is one of my most hated tropes in BL. This show unsettles me.

What can I say, as GMMTV's first BL offering of 2020 I enjoyed the show. The plot while not at all unique had a few nice twists. I overall enjoyed all aspects of the show from production, acting, to the OST.

I want to avoid a complete recap of the plot, so i will just say that it was your standard secret crush meets "fake" relationship. Initially I wasn't sure how I felt about Green because he is essentially a foil character for the plot, but I'm glad that they treated his character respectfully rather than for pure comic relief (although he provided some). BLs are notorious for including more couples than it is even possible to provide screen time for, but I thought all 3 couples had cute and fairly (look nothing is perfect when we get past 2 couples) well developed plot lines. Really at the end of the day it's the writers/directors that I take exception with. The show is good, and yet it also falls into most of the BL tropes: insanely possessive partner, needless drama that stems from a lack of communication, some accident or fight that requires one person tending to the other as some sort of romantic gesture, stalking/extreme over interest presented as romantic, continually overstepping boundaries... that's just to name a few. And the ending I mean honestly yikes for the last 2 episodes especially.

I enjoyed the acting and production the most (yea I know the editing in some places, but honestly watching this side by side with WHY R U? I honestly overlooked most of it). Bright/Win have great chemistry (well at least in the beginning) and I felt it was evident that Bright had done his homework and read the novel while preparing for his role. I applaud Win especially for the stairwell crying scene, i thought it was one of the most believable. It was nice to see Drake/Frank again and see how much their acting has improved although I did not particularly like Mil and Phukong's character was just poorly written (unfortunate for Frank). Mil continuously overstepped his boundary and was so possessive of Tine which I'm not saying would be ok even if they were together but it's especially inappropriate as he has not Ties to Tine. Oh Gunsmile, always a bridesmaid never a bride, I prefer his roles as the comic relief so I enjoyed him in this series. I thought Toptap/Mike were cute although this was not my favorite role for Toptap.

I thought it was really cool how the series revolved around Scrubb and that they were actually able to participate in the series. I'd never heard of Scrubb before, but I can imagine that it was nostalgic for a lot of viewers.

I overall enjoyed the series. I thought it was cute and it held my attention well. I felt the drama in the last 2 episodes was so contrived, but it only negatively effected my opinion slightly.

What are we doing here?

Tbh I can't recall ever being this bored watching the first episode of any drama. This episode was supposed to draw us in and make us excited for the rest of the show. This review doesn't contain any spoilers, but honestly, there's nothing to spoil because nothing happened. This was so incredibly boring I cannot express it enough. I try to give everything a fair first shot. I never change a new song before I've gotten through the first minute and I usually never fast-forward through a drama on the first episode. I think I got to 13 mins before I put it on 2x speed. The drama only has 6 episodes! There is no reason for the plot to be moving this slowly. This was such a buzz kill. And again this has nothing to do with the Taiwanese BL Kiseki Dear to Me, but I wished so bad that any of the quality of that show rubbed off on this similarly titled show. I won't drop it because I'm a masochist. I already made it through the first episode, however, I will probably not continue to watch it in real-time and wait to binge it at the end.

This was the first ever lakhorn that I watched (it just popped up in my Netflix recommendations and I was bored and thought why not). If you look at my watchlist now you will see that it sparked something lol. I think you always look back on your firsts with some amount of nostalgia, so maybe this review gives the show more credit than it deserves (or does it lol).

I thought all the storylines were cute, although I felt the most invested in Simon and Keaton's. I loved the cinematography (a Netflix budget goes a long way) and a lot of the darker (optically) scenes. I enjoyed how the music accentuated scenes, but it's not an OST that's all that memorable (writing this review almost a year after watching it I can only remember the opening song). Ten became my instant favorite after watching this show. I have to agree that the plot was thin in a lot of areas and none of the characters (though well acted) felt fully fleshed out. I honestly thoroughly enjoyed the show and have recommended it to people IRL. I enjoyed the dramedy and actually laughed out loud at some parts (and cried at the ending scene because I'm a HUGE sap lol). All in all I say give it a try. You'll know after the first episode if it's for you or not.

Honestly i wasn’t crazy about 2 moons The Series, but i was inexplicably upset to find out they recasted for 2 moons 2. I put off watching it for a few months, but honestly i can never get enough of BLs, so i decided to give it ago. It’s WAY better than the original by leaps and bounds, but there were still some areas that left something to be desired for me. I think it was great how they recapped the original in the first 3.5 episodes and honestly you didn’t miss anything if you haven’t seen 2 moons.

Ming is again one of my favorite characters. I loved Kim as Ming in the original and that’s really where all of the nostalgia i had for the original cast lies. I think Joong did an amazing job as Ming this time around and he’s a cutie. I was so happy to see Kit and Ming finally become a couple since their relationship was never realized in the original. Phana and Wayo continue to be my least favorite couple although i like Ben and Earth’s chemistry better than the previous actors. Unfortunately their romantic scenes do absolutely nothing for me much like the previous actors. You can tell this is Earth’s first role. He does this shifty eye thing that i think is horrible it makes his sad, angry, and scared expressions all look the same. Kit and Forth round out my top 3 favorite characters. Kit and Ming’s scene in Kit’s childhood bedroom made my heart melt. Kit is so cute and i love the gym scenes in eps 12. I love the juxtaposition of Forth’s bad boy exterior with his romantic and humorous personality (And his tattoo!!). For the most part i think this cast of newbies did a great job and i especially look forward to future projects from Joong, Pavel, and Nine.

I wasn’t crazy about the OST but it wasn’t horrible. I’m shocked that they ended on such a cliffhanger. Most of the lackhorns and BL dramas I’ve watched have had sort of neutral season finales. If it’s good of course you’ll want a season 2, but it’s not necessary for any conflict resolution. I’m SHOOK. Will actually be waiting semi-anxiously for 2 moons 3.

I am still crying as i type this review haha. It was short, sweet, and emotional. MIR goes down as a Thai BL classic for me and it was amazing to see Tee and Fuse together again. Also great to see Fuse no longer being wishy washy. You could see so much improvement in Boom and Peak’s acting in MIR 2 and they have just continued to improve. I was ugly crying right along with Fuse in the last episode. They really scarred me i thought they were about to drive the ship off the cliff but it ended the only way that is acceptable. I just wish that Book and Frame got a cameo as a couple. If you’re looking for a quick fix see Why R U? Ep2 for a Tee/Fuse cameo. I love Boom and Peak and hope that somewhere down the line they’ll get to reprise these roles again with the whole MIR crew. Worth the watch and short enough to rewatch at least once if not a few times lol.

I really enjoyed the first season. It was one of the first BL dramas that I watched and that made me overlook a lot of things that I could not for the second season after watching some truly outstanding dramas. This is a good show. I enjoyed the first season better. The production imo did not get any better as compared to the first season and that was disappointing considering the huge fan base. Both the main actors have improved, especially Captain (I like him even more outside of this role, he's a hottie when he's not a skinhead) which helps to improve a plot that I felt was meh at best. Everything about the second season to me just seemed ok, nothing was glaringly terrible and nothing was amazing.

Look I, along with everyone else, have always been rooting for Phun/Noh, but it seemed really hypocritical of Phun to be upset with Aim after he has essentially been cheating on her for a year. I am in no way excusing Aim's behavior. I hated this storyline. I wish that Phun and Noh had been honest with their respective gfs and just avoided the entire thing. I was so frustrated! Every BL drama doesn't have to have loads of fan service, but it's annoying and honestly feels like a slap in the face that Captain and White don't actually kiss. I've seen some believable faked kisses in other lackhorns and I would have much preferred a cheekier allusion than the CLEARLY not kissing "kissing" scenes. The first season was glaringly better in this aspect.

I liked Om/Mick, but their storyline felt so clunky and underdeveloped. The rest of the secondary storylines are forgettable. Do watch this if your were a fan of the first season, but I advise curbing your expectations. I honestly have mixed feelings about season 3. My expectations have been slightly raised after watching ReminderS, but I'm still going in with them lowered.

The sequel that should not have been.

Wow.. *insert crying emoji* I am so sad and like most of the other reviewers so so disappointed. I’ve only watched the first episode so far and I’m really staring at the ceiling like “what did i just watch?” I AM CONFUSION!! The way this series opens feels like a continuation of season one... and then they drove it straight off of a cliff. What seems like a continuation from the first season in the locker room scene with Tin/Can i guess is actually a flash toward from whatever timeline they invented for this season?! At first, I thought they were going to re-create scenes as a means of a sort of flashback with just Tin/Can (since obviously Saint could not be a part of this season) but i guess they’re going to... redo their whole relationship development??? The only way to watch this and maybe enjoy it is to think of this as a completely different universe and not even just a different timeline. It will be hard because LBC is a CLASSIC and fan favorite. I really can’t recommend this to anyone who’s watched S1. This is painful. I will continue to watch after it’s finished airing because curious and nostalgia, but I have very very low expectations.
