Amazing Thriller
This drama, unlike others had my mind blown….. I can usually deduct who the murderer/killer is and not be surprised. This one got me good. When they exposed who the killer was - I honestly can say, I did not see it coming. The actors all did a brilliant job in presenting their roles and the casting was brilliant.ML although known to me previously and I have to say I’m not a huge fan but he was brilliant.
FL - I love SooYoung from Girls Generation - watched a lot of her dramas and she does this role justice. A few of these actors were first time for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

NO Chemistry
This story has been done over and over again in both English versions and Korean. Whilst the story line itself is fine and the two leads were okay (individually) I just felt no chemistry at all between the two of them. The only other criticism I would have was the continuous flow between Thai and Korean languages (it did my head in). Hangul choi!!!! Thai, I have to be in the right frame to listen to - this, as it was presented as ‘Korean’ I expected it to be in Korean. I do not mean to offend anyone - I love the Thai people and their beautiful natures. ♥️

Oh my darling!!!!
Okay so the thing is I had to watch all the way through to appreciate the ending. TAlk about taking me through the wringer emotionally. The beginning is terrific, giving you the outline of the history and the relationship between the main leads. That being said the middle is where I come unstuck. I mean really who sticks around after finding out you were duped and not only that but to pin the blame all on the poor guy who actually wasn’t to blame. Made for an interesting watch I have to say.
The ending was superb, even though we all knew how it was going to be it did have you guessing a bit.
Acting was brilliant all the way through, even when it wasn’t.
Music was beautiful as was the amazing scenery and cinematography.
Glad I watched it.

Tissues needed
Storyline was so incredible. Bringing the sadness of life into the cinema but also creating a space within the young to endure it was well thought out and well done.Acting and cast were incredible.
Music nicely done.
The cinematography in this film is amazingly outstanding at the end and during the paragliding scenes. Loved this film. Very sad but beautiful. The actors did an amazing job with bringing the story across and even better at bringing the characters to life. Definitely a must watch but have your tissues on hand, you’ll need them for sure.

Romanticized story of a kingdom divided cannot stand.
The romance side is the part I fell in love with… the other side of demons/monsters I could do without. That being said I loved the story development of the “monsters” relationship. In reality I know it would never happen but it was fun to humanize them a bit and allow them to grown fond of each other and even love in friendship together. It was rather dragged out around episode 14 onwards - I'd rather watch 10 very good episodes than 20 just for the sake of carrying it on.
The ending it's not that bad, but it's way too predictable: if you're not into open endings, just forget about this drama.
Onto the good stuff:
- Lee Seung Gi is just gold in this series, I cannot think of anybody else for the role of Son Oh Gong. Same goes for Cha Seung Won (Ma Wang) and Sung Hyuk (General Frost).
- Soundtrack is Bomb: "Let me out" is a hit as well as "If You Were Me" and "When I Saw You".
I don't think I'd rewatch this, cause it's too painful now (i didn't enjoy the ending) and also because of the dragged out part (13-17)
The ending was a bit on the sad side - leaving you wanting to know if he gets her back and how he does it. That being said, as he has to go to the underworld - I think it will definitely be too dark for me liking. Will have to see if they bring our a season 2.

Awesome!!!!!
I have to say that this one, even with the evil spirits, kept me fixed to the screen. I loved the cast members and their acting was superb. To see the three family members interacting without knowing they’re family was fun to watch. I figured it out early in the piece about the Crown Prince but wasn’t surprised when they showed the child. I know I’ll probably sit down and watch this one again even though I flicked through some of the spiritual scenes of the evil Kim Wong-Hyong killing/absorbing other spirits. Was this review helpful to you?
Too much realism
Sorry guys but I have to agree with MOST of the negative reviews on this one. The plot sucked, story with the twist could have been done so much better with the cast that they had and it fails to grab you. Would I ever rewatch this? NO!!!!! There’s enough reality in this world to keep people jolted awake, why make the ending like so many other real relationships? Why not develop the characters to grow and come back together with a genuine love for one another. This too can be a real life ending but sheesh you ruined it for me!!!!Was this review helpful to you?
Quirky and fun
Okay so I started watching this and I have to be honest I almost dropped it. The drama of the madness nearly overwhelmed me. That being said the storyline didn’t finish there and was definitely well worth the hold out to see the end through.CAsting was brilliant and I love that SuHyun is in it - awesome. The other cast members are terrific and did so well in their roles.
Music is a nice touch.
Not sure if I’d ever rewatch it but it could happen.
Overall a terrific short drama that finishes well and you’ll not be sorry you watched it.

Frustrating but worthwhile
Okay so here goes. I loved JGW in this drama - his was really the only consistent role in the entire drama and I’m thankful for that. On the other hand this frustrated me no end - the drama - not sure if it’s the writer’s fault or the director’s but the character of UTW (Medical Director) was so wishy washy with regards to his feelings and emotions that I wanted to hit him. Leading on and then pushing away - never knowing which way he was truly going. The reason is shown at the end of the drama so it did redeem his character at that point for me. His role, other than the love stuff, was brilliant as was his acting in it. As far as KSY (Doctor) i feel like her role was also a bit all over the place emotionally. She’d lean on the Director but think of PJH. If this was cleaned up a bit then it would have been a brilliant drama………Music was lovely - loved it.
Rewatch value - as frustrating as it was in parts for me to watch, I’d probably sit through it again as I just loved loved loved JGW in this one. I’ve seen him in many other roles as the bad guy that you love to hate but this one was just yummy.

Loved it
Reminiscent of days gone by, my days gone by. This is definitely my era and youth. Love love loved it.Storyline was terrific and I loved how the producers re-created the bygone era’s well, even down to the books and tapes.
Acting and Casting couldn’t have been better selected. I love Go Ah-Ra and her cohorts they were all terrific and did extremely well in their portrayal of the characters they played.
Music is reminiscent of each decade as they went through - well thought out.
Rewatch value - I may never rewatch it again but I definitely could and would if someone wants to sit with me.
OVerall - this brought back the memories of my very own 1990’s and 2000’s. The baggy pants of MC Hammer (western world) and the music - I so loved reliving it. This may have had the Korean details but still took me back to my time at that point. Thank you so much to the Director and Producers for bringing this to life. I do have to add that I love how you brought in the cast from 1997 too. That was just super cute. 💕

Friends to Lovers
Okay so I have to say it - storyline overall was well written and portrayed. I have to say though that the one thing that frustrated me no end is the way the main lead actress is pushing for ‘her man’ to go into the arms of the woman who left him without a word and also was cheating on him at the time. I’m sorry but never in all my life would I consider doing this to the man I’m in love with. Yes I too married my best friend and we too had a 6 month hiatus when things were moving a bit too fast for me. That being said - the time apart I hated the fact that the girls were all gooing and ga-ing over him when I couldn’t. I believe that if you’re already in the feelings stage of realising that your best friend has now moved into the moving your heart phase - I’m going to do all I can to keep him as mine. No matter how famous the other old flame is. Just my add on. Sorry to all those who absolutely loved the way this was close to reality - for me, not so much…….Was this review helpful to you?
Amazing
Loved this one, acting is superb. PBY and AHS were just brilliant as well as the supporting cast members. Lee Seong Jae was brilliant at the evil doctor as was KSH at being the evil son/brother. Such incredible acting throughout.Storyline is amazing, although I would have liked to see a bit more resolved at the end ie his mum being brought in at the end but overall this was brilliant. If I had one criticism it would be that Hee Jin do do not get enough screen time towards the end and left some questions regarding how she resolved everything.
Special effects all the way through fabulous.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT
Okay so I’m not usually one for dark thriller’s but this one had me hooked. There were parts that I wanted to skip over (generally too much rehashing) but overall I would definitely watch this one again. KYK was amazing as usual as was the rest of the cast. OMG I cannot say it enough this was a top notch piece. The romance side is short lived but revived and the character development throughout is incredible to watch. I would most definitely recommend this one and it has become one of my favourites I think. Was this review helpful to you?

Loved it
Although I’ve never seen the Cdrama version (and probably never will) I have to disagree with most of the reviewers here. Could be my personal preference but I loved how the drama unfolded and the chemistry between the actors was there. It’s definitely a lighter drama and fluffy feelings abound but the fact that they hit troubled waters and manage to navigate through them - in the end. I appreciated it. I will probably rewatch this one for sure. Nice and light and feel good. I love the innocence in it too.Was this review helpful to you?
Not a Keeper forMe
Okay so the hardest thing to say about this drama is, unless it had Ahn Jae-Hyeon and Gu Hye-Sun in it I probably would NOT have watched it past the first 5 episodes. I pretty much think it was completely wasted on their talents and the storyline was lacking. Did I appreciate the fact the writer made the vampires come from a virus instead of mythology - yes it was creative but that’s probably where the creativity stops. To see evil get more evil and people just dropping dead for the sake of it is a wasted story. No creativity in it.Rewatch value = I wouldn’t waste my 20 hrs of time on it thank you. Once was more than enough.
