No attractive guy on the poster...
On this lakorn's poster, there's quite large group of people to be honest, but the main center belongs to Thisa Varitthisa. Sadly, there is no attractive guy on the poster with her. Someone who is there is probably Oil Thana, who is unrecognizable after those lakorns from 13 years ago I remember him from. There's Mai Nonthapun, who is cute, but he's in a side-role.Tags for this lakorn list Investigation, Revenge, Murder, Sisters' Relationship, Police Department, Death, Marriage Of Convenience... Geez, sounds like everything I am NOT interested in, lol. But, sometimes I surprisingly like a series that is not my favorite genre. So, I always try the 1st episode, at least...
And? It seemed to be filled with scenes I usually skip, only this time there's not really anything here to skip TO. Someone else called this "nice investigation-action drama" and while I admit that it's not my cup of coffee, still even if it was, then honestly Thailand isn't the country I would go to for such themed dramas, those don't seem to be their best. I stick mostly with romance/comedy lakorns.
Roy Arkart won't be my thing, I knew after 1 episode already. It did not offer me any eye candy and there was nothing to cheer me up amongst the murder investigation I did not care about.

See, I have this strong rule to give a chance to ANYTHING. Nevertheless, sometimes the chance is very brief:) Like watching a single episode of this thing: I couldn't help the natural reflex to skip any scene featuring Pon Nawasch:) I had to like, literally force myself to go back, LOL. At least for 1 episode I'll try to bear with it. If he magically improved, I'll keep watching, I promise, LOL. Of course I skipped the intro with him fighting (too sci-fi to watch, I'm afraid) but at least I tried his meeting THE GIRL. First thing I noticed was his shiny earring. He definitely looked more feminine than the girl (the lips!) What an instant reminder of the unwatchable 'Tra Barb See Chompoo'. Either way, in this role he's supposed to be "indian", therefore he is openly wearing an eyeliner. TERRIFIC.
He's got a rival In Sarin Ronnakiat, while I don't care for him I would cheer anyone against Pon Nawasch... Anyways, his character is yet poor and he can't help the first episode's situation, which is kinda depressing. The main heroine gets sexually harassed daily by Johnny Anfone's character, her beautiful land got into his hands and he's about to waste it, and the only one who can buy it out seems to be the annoying Pon Nawasch's character. What a hell. I really didn't envy this nang'ek.
Then even I got harassed by more scenes of Pon Nawasch trying to portray that he is crying (hell) or going into the fighting ring with his upper body revealed and face painted (hell/comedy) in front of BETTING audience (sci-fi) and then even surviving the fight as a winner (fantasy). I'm afraid such a killer genre mix is too much on my heart, LOL. I had to laugh so hard I nearly choked. But I'm afraid I can't seriously keep watching it. He can play a toot. Or he can play a girl. Perhaps transgender? But not this please, no one can stand to keep laughing so hard. I have only one health. So I'll stick only to one episode. Ok seriously, maybe In Sarin's line would become a watchable later on but I can't help it, Johnny Anfone as lecherous stepfather grosses me out. Too much unwatchable stuff.

We have nang'ek in her mid-thirties, who acts out like a brat (ugh). We have pra'ek who already has a girlfriend (ugh, again). It's 2012 lakorn but it got subtitled relavitely recently. From the first look, it seems like something I wouldn't mind forgotten. It feels like I watched it 100 times already anyways... Mostly with better actors. Yeah, if I didn't mention it, Pooklook Fonthip is in this also, lol.
If she's the one who'll have the 2nd couple line here, then there's nothing to watch... (NOT interested in all the hysterical secondary females, gambling alcoholic mother, etc etc.) I am tired after 1 episode.

Episode 1 + Episode 2 Preview
Eh... what cr*p did I start watching this time?:) I love watching romantic series. It's an escape. But it clearly doesn't happen with this one. The main heroine isn't really a heroine, she's someone who has no life. She of course loves romantic novels and as she doesn't have any story of her own (she's supposed to be an "astronomer" but I don't buy it, her intelligence is not sufficient for a shop assistant) the cartoon characters from her favorite manga book need to come alive.Okay... The main male character (she is in love with) comes alive as Oab Oabnithi wearing lipstick and eyeliner (seriously). Maybe this series is supposed to warn us of today's perverted taste in men looking like girls... Or is it about the punishment for engaging with fictional characters more than with real people in one's life? If the dreaming-reading girl gets also the evil male character who fights against the main hero (also long hair and makeup) and even the beautiful maiden the two fight FOR, and few additional fighters, all from the demented book she kept reading, come to her? Because what good was it to her even if her beloved drawed hero came to life and to her life, if she got his female lover along with him?:D
Either way, I find Oab Oabnithi looking rather gross & stupid to keep watching him acting like "tarzan in our world" and stuff. Enough already.

Is it "hilarious" to watch 65 olds acting like 5 olds OUTSIDE a retirement home?
There IS a difference between Channel 3 and Channel 7 (not just in the number of episodes), plus I just dropped another lakorn with Ko Vasin (whose girly face I cannot stand much) where he was "yapping at each other as soon as they met each other" with 6 years younger and not so pretty girl, so honestly I don't find much difference. Call me biased but next time there is a lakorn with him in the lead I shall drop it BEFORE first episode not after.I took a look what else this lakorn has to offer (meaning should I skip all Ko Vasin, what's left in there?) and nothing caught my interest. It's like even the veterans (Duangta, Pu Montree) here dropped their acting to second rate... I mean, they are sixty-five, not five.
I'm afraid the first "funeral episode" means a funeral to this series: I quit watching right after it and I'm so glad to get out of this.

The casting feels wrong on other levels, too. Aum Patcharapa's "fiancee" is portrayed by 10 years younger actor who doesn't look much compatible with her. The main villain (Pete Thongchua) has a weird face like some mishap surgery and cannot act. Once again in unimportant side-role there is the charming Pym Pympan, who by the way is same age as Aum Patcharapa, yet doesn't have her perfectly ironed "forever young" face, therefore I am more at ease looking at her.
I watched (and am still watching;) many trashy lakorns. But I'm afraid this trash doesn't deserve reproach, it deserves to be IGNORED. Therefore, I'm done with this by 1 episode. I forfeit seeing Mik's "hot real kisses" with his plastic aunty... I know, there definitely will be some reviews praising it and calling it "chemistry":D Well, it is a victory of surgery advancement of our times:) And let's not forget many MDL users ARE the korean drama lovers (which is like the plastic surgery kingdom:) So don't mind me.
