Because Qiu Zhe.
I decided to watch this drama because it fitted my 2 criteria — at least 8/10 and no failures for reviews. Viewers praised this drama and so, I decided to go for it. I’m glad that I did. What I liked:
- Qiu Zhe - I think he is a good actor but I’m not a big fan of his. I have not watched many of his works and was rather surprised to see him as the male lead. (I dived into the drama without checking the cast in detail.) I am pleasantly surprised by his very fine acting in this drama. He’s handsome, charming and appears very real. He acted very well and charmed me very much.
- The actors and actresses were (on the whole) very good at their job. Thumbs up for fine acting.
- The colleagues in the firm were nice people on the whole. There wasn’t much office politics and such.
- The plot was rather fast-paced and kept me engaged. Things were happening and I wanted to know what would happen. The plot was riveting enough.
- The mature romance between female lead’s mother and the older man was rather endearing to watch and realistically portrayed.
- Ending was a little rushed but it was a happy one and I like happy endings.
What I didn’t like:
- The female lead was a bit OTT IMO. She behaved rather irrationally at times IMO and I didn’t agree with her perspectives. She wasn’t the most charming/ pretty female lead either and her chin was too ‘pokey out-y’ for me. It appeared witch-like. I think another female lead might have done a better job and would have had more chemistry with the male lead.
- The female lead’s father and his wife were seriously beyond irksome. They were vile and repulsive. How could a father purposely cause hurt to his own daughter to force her into donating bone marrow to his other daughter. Talk about being biased! I hated the scenes with FL’s father and his wife. Such awful and indecent people.
- The baby girl who keep screaming and crying in the last episode.
Overall, this is a good drama to watch and I recommend it! The rewatch value isn’t high and the two leads don’t have sizzling chemistry but the acting is good and the plot is good too. Watch :)

Good-lookers with chemistry!
This drama popped up on my YouTube feed and I’m so glad that it did! I have watched the FL in other dramas before and I think she’s a fine actress and good-looking. Thus, I decided to ‘wing it’ and watch this drama. I’m thrilled that I did! What I loved a lot:
- The chemistry between the leads is cute yet hot, sweet yet full of sizzle. They light up the screen as they are gorgeous and they have chemistry. Love seeing them together. Their development from not liking each other to being infatuated to being deeply in love is believable and realistic. Towards the end, their kisses are yummy to watch! So in love!
- The music isn’t much of a big deal but it works.
- This drama is very low on angst and has hardly any villains. I like this as I’m quite tired of dramas that are full of angst and awful, annoying villains. To me, this drama is a refreshing and happy change/ breather!
- This is my first time watching the ML but wow, I’ve also ‘fallen in like’. He’s definitely easy on the eyes and he has a gorgeous body.
- The clothes in the drama are stylish and the ML and FL look so charming!
The little bit of not so good:
- There’s no plot. Actually, nothing very much happens other than sweet fluff. Every small issue gets resolved asap so, there is little to mull over.
- The ML starts off quite stiff and he is, quite obviously, not a seasoned actor. But, he becomes better and better as the episodes go on!
- The stubborn girl, Yanran, is quite hard to watch at first but she becomes better too as the episodes go on. Some actors are quite stiff and are quite redundant. Some scenes are unbelievable but this is a drama after all.
*Overall, I highly recommend this drama especially if you are looking for something light, easy and ‘uneventful’ in a good way! :)
WATCH! :) thumbs up!*

Heartwarming, Engaging, Well-Made Drama
The reviews for this drama are good and this drama deserves them! This drama is very realistic and very well-written/ well-made.I highly enjoyed it and I recommend it to everyone.
What I liked:
- The impressive acting from the whole cast. They were in character throughout and acted so well.
- The endearing friendship and loyalty of the five leads.
- The puppy love and budding sweet romance between the young adults is endearingly sweet. So cute.
- The drama has its up moments and its down/ sad moments. There are funny “laugh out loud” moments and super sad “misty eyed/ tears flow freely” moments. The sudden death of one of the elderly grandpas was saddening.
- The music fits the drama’s scenes quite well.
- There are many meaningful words/ ideas in the drama. This drama is a touching one.
What I didn’t like that much but was not big deal:
- He Jin Zhao was my least favourite of the cast. He was not that funny and well, just kind of “meh”.
- The female lead’s voice was both nasal and high-pitched. She sounded quite like a squeaking duck.
Nonetheless, this drama is Fabulous! It is Wonderful! It is a Must Watch, so please go on right ahead if you are hesitating! Excellent!!

Relatable and Moving
I read the (mostly) rave reviews and so, I decided to watch this drama. I must say that this drama is a well-made one which is worth watching! Kudos to the team that produced this excellent slice of life drama. I watched one episode after another. It was riveting enough to make me want to go on and on.What I liked very much:
- Great acting. The actors and actresses were mostly very natural and acted very well.
- Growth of the characters. This drama appeared to be a “Bildungsroman” of sorts for the three ladies.
- Couple: Ji Nan Jia and Ou Yang. Cute. I liked that he was sincere and was willing to make the relationship work because he truly liked her. I liked that she warmed to him and accepted him since her heart said “yes” after her body already did.
- Couple: Qiao Xi Chen and Jian Yi Fan. I liked how he had fallen for her first and how he looked out for her. I liked how the relationship seemed to develop organically. It was a very believable relationship which I “shipped”. I liked that they were serious about each other.
- The funny moments were cute.
- The clothes were fashionable and nice-looking.
- The plot was realistic and relatable.
What I didn’t like that much:
- I was shocked by a death right from the start and the death drove the story forward. (Of course, there was plenty of back and forth as the plot unfolded to reveal things that happened in their past and how their future was unfolding.)
- Xu Yan was close to insufferable. She was self-absorbed and had a huge (wrong) sense of entitlement. She had a lot of growing up to do as she was a stunted character. She had her priorities in the wrong places like wanting branded bags or else she would throw a mighty tantrum at her poor boyfriend, Shen Zi Chang. He was a problem kid too as he was also immature and childish. Both of them couldn’t make things work because there was a total lack of honest and loving communication. Guess this drama wishes to let viewers see that open communication, having right priorities and working out differences together with the other party in mind are sorely needed in (young) couples.
Overall, I really enjoyed this slice of life drama. It was meaningful. The plot was engaging and things moved fast but felt complete. I highly recommend this drama!! Watch!!
PS: I understand that there are Extras after episode 12 (which is the final episode). If anyone has information on the Extras, please kindly share where I can watch them. Cheers.

Love & Devotion
I really enjoyed this series and I am hoping that there’ll be a season 2. I read the reviews first before embarking and I’d say that this drama deserves high ratings! Personally, I think that this drama is a great drama which deserves to be watched! What I liked:
- The young lead couple went through hard times as well as trials and tribulations to get to where they were — happily together at the end of the drama.
- The young lead couple’s devotion to each other was moving and very sweet.
- The secondary characters were quite adorable. Other than the “supposed beauty” of the school, there weren’t heinous villains. Shi Che, Guo Guo and Xie Zi Ye were cute. Their friendship made me envious.
- The characters were realistic and believable. They acted well enough.
- Happy ending for all the characters in general. Good to see that Jiang Hao Yue’s father turned over a new leaf in the end.
- Slice of life drama which was realistic and believable.
What I was shocked by:
- I didn’t know that there would be a serious issue in this drama. I blame Jiang Hao Yue’s mother for his grievous accident. If she hadn’t left him, he would have been fine.
Overall, I’d say: Watch. This is a well-made drama with ups and downs. I enjoyed it. It’s better than many other dramas out there. It made me wistful for my teen/ young adult years. Must carpe diem and enjoy all moments as much as possible.

College Life in 24 Episodes
This drama is interesting enough to watch. For those who haven’t entered college, it gives them a feel of what college life is kind of about. For those who have completed college, this drama allows them to reminisce. What I liked:
- drama shows how four girls become friends
- drama shows the growth of four unique girls
- drama shows that other than studying for their degree, there are other ‘important’ things like finding love and navigating young adulthood before entering full fledged adulting
- drama is short enough and yet complete enough; each episode is one complete chapter in itself and feels satisfying
Two episodes stood out for me. One was when Huang Fu Shu Min’s mother passed away suddenly. It showcases that sickness and death can strike anytime. I cried buckets during that episode. Her mother seemed kind of overprotective and annoying in previous episodes. But, in that particular episode, we see that her mother just loved her too much. One really doesn’t know what one will miss u till it’s gone for good. It reminds us not to take the people around us for granted. Another episode which was hard to watch but meaningful (in my opinion) was when Huang Fu and her boyfriend had to make difficult (adult) choices about whether or not to continue their relationship or to split due to differences in desires. The episode truly brought out the harshness of reality. It can be very hard to come to a happy compromise or decision.
What I didn’t like:
- the character and actor, Mai Meng, annoyed me to no end - as the adult / teacher, I felt that he should have behaved more maturely and faced his feelings bravely. He should not hide his feelings or string the girl along. One of the worse things in life is a ‘non-relationship’ relationship… (if you get what I mean).
- the ‘lead’ actress Fan Xiao Yu became quite annoying towards the end of the drama. It seemed that the other 3 actresses matured but she regressed.
Overall, it’s a meaningful show that is well-portrayed. An 8.5/10 means it’s a Good Pass and I Recommend this drama.

3 Cute Couples & Fairly Realistic Drama
I go for dramas that are reviewed highly enough by fellow drama viewers. A good rating to indicate as a “Please Watch” is at least an 8/10. This drama deserves a “must watch” rating of 8.5/10 from me.Watch because:
- drama is realistic - there isn’t some super rich dude who can move and shake the earth; characters are your fairly ordinary folks
- plot is believable and interesting enough
- story moves fast and any misunderstanding is usually cleared quickly without that much angst
- couples are cute, especially the main couple
- affections are expressed and characters avoid being noble idiots
- very enjoyable short-ish drama at just 22 episodes of about 35 minutes per episode
In general, I enjoyed this drama. I’ll probably rewatch some good parts. The only thing that I didn’t really like was the very last episode - 22 - as it was more a recap of past episodes than a proper finale. It was a happy enough ending though to a fairly sweet tale / drama. Pls watch!

For Male Lead
I watched this some time back and just wanted to share my two cents worth. This drama is fluff and quite cute but the FL didn’t do anything much for me. She came across as fairly dense and at times, slightly annoying. The second ML who was in love with FL was actually cute.
I watched this drama because of the ML. I think he is handsome. I felt that he carried the show well enough and although the show was quite trope-y, it had sweet moments. Watch this drama if you enjoy campus dramas. This drama is fairly light and easy to complete.
My stance is at least 8/10 to be a Good Drama and my verdict for this drama is 7.5/10. It is watch-able but … if you have other dramas that intrigue you more, watch those other dramas first.

Watch for Fluff and Lurve.
I chanced upon this drama because it was being reviewed quite highly on a YouTube channel. She warned about it being trope-y and sure enough, this drama is indeed full of tropes. However, it is still a fun watch at just 24 episodes of slightly more than 30 minutes each. What I liked:
- plenty of kiss scenes if u like loved up
couples.
- the ML and FL have good chemistry.
- the ML and FL aren’t the most gorgeous but they have their charms and are pretty easy on the eyes.
- many of the elders in the drama go against the usually stereotypes. For example, ML’s grandmother and mother support his love for FL.
- this is a sweet drama with some angst but not that much until it becomes awful and tiresome.
- happy ending!
What I didn’t like:
- Ran Xiwei was awful through and through and I don’t get her eye makeup look. It wasn’t a smoky eye look. It was a black eye look which was very weird and unpleasant.
- Shang Ke seemed like a big, bumbling idiot. His scenes with his lover girl were not interesting to watch.
Overall, as I have previously mentioned, I need a rating of at least 8/10 to consider a drama a Good Drama and my verdict is that this drama gets an 8/10. It’s fun enough to watch. Quick enough to get through. I’d say watch for the Fluff, the Lurve and the Cute Couple.

She IS a pretty proofreader!
I wanted to watch this drama when it first came out years back because I like the cute female lead. But, it wasn’t fully available and so, I had to shelf my plan to do so.When I saw that it was available in Netflix, I had to catch it and I’m glad I did.
Watch because:
- Female lead is pretty and she’s very endearing despite being kind of OTT at times.
- Female lead carries the show well and things move at a fast pace.
- Cast, in general, is endearing and have their own quirks.
- At only 10 episodes, this drama is easy to watch and complete.
- The love element in this drama is kept to a minimal. There’s a bit of ‘loveline’ and romance but this drama is not a romance drama.
- This drama is easy-going and has very little to no angst.
- Every episode is complete and enjoyable. I especially like episode 10 about dreams. Not all dreams come true. Very relatable.
- I like that this drama shows that ‘quiet background workers’ are very important even though they aren’t seen. Without these hardworking and unassuming workers/ people, many things won’t get done.
To me, a drama must be 8/10 and up to be considered good. 8.5/10 means that this drama is : Pls Watch. It’s an easy and light-hearted drama that moves along fast. Yay!! I like it!!

Enjoyable shenanigans.
This drama was recommended on another website as a good show featuring strong women and I’m all for strong women.Watch because:
- strong women are great to watch
- the actresses suit their roles very well and they are excellent actresses
- their revenges are more like shenanigans and are fairly enjoyable to watch
- there’s anticipation as the storyline is pretty fast paced and engaging
Two things that I didn’t really like:
- one of the episodes was quite draggy. I cannot remember which episode but it was somewhere in the middle. That episode was (I presume) necessary but a pain as it was slow moving and dealt with uninteresting matters.
- the ending was not exactly the most happily ever after although I guess it was good enough
Overall, great show with great actresses. Nice short drama of 12 episodes!

Exciting Plot! Chemistry between leads!
This drama came highly recommended by a dear friend and so, I had to ‘add to list’. I’m so glad that I did. Her recommendation is a good one and I’d like to share this exciting drama with others! This drama is fairly under the radar and I’d like it very much if more people get to know about this drama and watch this drama.
Watch because:
- acting is great
- no big name stars but the actors and actresses do a fabulous job of bringing the story and their characters to life
- the leads aren’t the most gorgeous looking ones out there but they have great chemistry and look pleasant enough
- the leads are sincere to each other and are truly in love with each other — I’m a sucker for such pure affections
- the story is exciting, riveting, intriguing — I had to watch one episode after another
- music is good enough
- story isn’t gory and gruesome despite it being a ‘coroner’ show — I’m easily squeamish and yet, I found this drama sensitive enough for ‘delicate viewers’ like myself
- ending is as happy as possible
I’d say: Watch!! Watch!! It’s excellent!!

Good-looking leads, quite engaging but a bit draggy
I read the reviews by other viewers before I watched this show and I must say I wasn’t truly impressed after watching the whole drama. What I liked:
-the beginning of the drama was quite interesting and I was hooked
-the lead couple had good chemistry
-the beginning of the drama was suspenseful and I wanted to watch one episode after another
-the acting of the cast was very good (in general)
-the first 20 episodes of the total of 40 episodes
What I didn’t like:
>the show became quite draggy after the first 20 episodes
>I felt that the drama could have ended much earlier
>the drama was going around in circles for several episodes
>the murder cases were only solved and revealed towards the tail end of the drama and I found things rather draggy
>there were several angsty episodes in this drama
>the ending isn’t a happy ending because the female lead was injured and didn’t wake up and have a happy ending with her male lead — I didn’t like this at all
Overall, I think that it’s okay to watch because of the good acting and the fairly suspenseful plot. However, it’s not a happy, cheerful, merry, feel-good kind of show. I’d say watch if there’s nothing else to watch. If you have other options, go for them.

Watch with low expectations & ‘Manga Lenses’ on
This drama popped up somewhere... maybe on YouTube? I cannot remember. I always google to do research before I embark on a drama because I don’t believe in wasting time on a lousy drama. I learnt from the reviews that there are pretty polar opinions regarding this drama. Some love it, some hate it.I think it’s okay if:
-watch on 1.25 speed to (literally) speed things up
-watch with ‘manga lenses’ on because I feel as though I’m watching the manga come alive - it’s like the manga characters are acting the manga plot (if u get what I mean)
-take things lightly and easily
-understand that there are a lot of stereotypes - the man is the domineering and possessive/ protective sort while the woman is the submissive little woman sort and ‘wanting to please’ sort — I guess there are people who dream of such characters
-you like a fast enough drama that’s only 10 episodes at less than 30 minutes per episode
Overall, it’s an okay drama - can watch but if u are looking for something ‘meaty’ and dynamic, this isn’t for u. Nothing really happens other than the two leads loving each other. The guy is pretty cute. I liked him. The girl is meh.

Love this series!
I chanced upon this series and really loved it. I tried to catch every single episode of these 104 sessions.Soo Mi is very endearing and the food that she cooks looks amazing. I wish I could taste the food.
The three chefs with her are legit chefs and they are very cute and endearing too.
I looked forward to this cooking show very much!
The guests who came in really livened the show up too!
Love this series to bits! I highly recommend viewers who enjoy watching cooking shows to catch this series.
