Sorry but this drama is a flop for me - It did not lure or make me engage into the story.
Unchained Love - I watched 3 episodes already and can't see myself continuing with this drama. Too boring, and I am not a big fan of Dylan Wang or Yukee Chen.I watched Dylan Wang and Yukee Chen separately in their other dramas, and in my opinion, their acting abilities are mediocre. Perhaps it is too early to tell, but their onscreen chemistry was not great. I liked Dylan Wang in Meteor Garden with Shen Yue, but anything after that drama was not good.
Yukee Chen is being typed cast for the same type of role.
I tried, but the ensemble's plot and acting did not engage me. I understand that many people like drama, and I am the exception. I am giving it a 4.0 rating.
Dropping it after 4 episode, the story and acting didn't lure me.

Under the influence of Bai Lang, Mu Di put down her walls and faced her heart. Not only did she find a career that she loved, but she also found a home that she loved.
My Reviews:
1. I watched 4 episodes, and I found it boring and not engaging at all.
2. The main CP did not lure me in with their acting, and the story could have been more engaging.
I am dropping this drama and giving it a 4.0 rating.
The storyline didn't lure me. Too much bickering and arguing so it was a turn off for me.
Enforcement Department is a melodrama about public servants between the Criminal Investigation and Second Execution Divisions and their conflicts as they try to work their own ways to resolve cases against the people in their communities.Synopsis: The exceptional Juge Qi Tao of the Criminal Investigation Division is forced to join forces with the Second Execution Division Chief Chu Yun. Their contrasting personalities and work methods clash, making it challenging to handle court cases effectively. Will they overcome their differences for the greater good of Quinggang City's citizens?
My Reviews:
1. As much as I like Luo Jin, I have not been able to finish any of the dramas he has been in since 2021, starting with A Land So Rich with Beauty. Perhaps because of the bad scripts.
2. I liked his early works better, especially with Tiffany Tang. Their onscreen chemistry was undeniably good.
3. After five episodes, I have no patience for this drama because of all the bickering between the characters and the people they are trying to help. There is too much yelling and arguing.
I am dropping this drama and giving it a 4.5 rating. The storyline didn't lure me.
Chinese version of Ghost Writer with good acting, comedy, and suspenseful
"Oh, No! Here Comes Trouble" is another iQiyi short series. AvenueX recommended it, so I am checking it out. To be honest, I was not into it until episode 8 onward. The synopsis is that Pu Yi Yong is a high school who unexpectedly gains superpowers after a bus accident that took his father's life and put his grandfather in a coma.
He gained the power to talk to the dead and work with the police and his classmate/neighbor to solve the causes and unresolved issues and lead them to the light.
It is like "Ghost Writer," an old American drama with a modern touch and special CGI effects.
The first 7 episodes are so boring and hard to get into. I found it so dull and fast-forward most of it, until episodes 8-10, that it got interesting. Since it is only 2 episodes left, so I will stick with it.
The acting is not bad; the script is strange and weird. I don't enjoy it as much, so I give it a 7.5 rating.
Too boring to continue because the plot is bad and not much exciting.
"Welcome to Milele Village" is a medical drama dealing with an African country. I didn't like the plot and have watched 4 episodes. The Synopsis: By chance, Ma Jia, a doctor from the First Affiliated Hospital of Jiangnan University, joined the 25th Chinese medical team to aid Sanna and went to Africa. Faced with completely different environments and huge cultural differences between China and Africa, Ma Jia experienced both persistence and giving up. He adjusted and corrected his mentality to gradually understand what it means to be a Chinese foreign aid doctor in practice. During the two years of foreign aid, during the physical and mental training, and under the scrutiny of emotions and low spirits, Ma Jia and his partners in the foreign aid medical team were stationed in "Maile Village," experiencing happiness, touching reunions, separations, and exciting experiences.
I am not interested in continuing, so I am dropping it. I think the acting is okay, but not exceptional.
Not a good medical drama - Dr. Qin is a better Medical Drama
The plot of "Thank You Doctor" was nothing to be excited about. It was a typical and boring medical drama; I don't think it needed to be 40 episodes long. It could have been better if it was cut short to 30 episodes.I cannot stand the following characters in this drama's supporting roles.
- Doctor Tang Hua and the young nurse; characters are annoying because all they do is gossip and stick their noses and opinions where it was not asked for.
- Doctor Chen was stupid and had very low EQ when it came to love relationships.
- The main CP, Dr. Bai, was arrogant and should have expressed his feelings for Dr. Xiao already. It was too painful to watch their relationship progress to nowhere.
- The young actor who played Dr. Bai's son was great, and the older nurse storyline was better.
I plan to finish it, but I don't think it was a good drama, so I am giving it a 5.0 rating.
I didn't like the plot and too many bickering where I have no patience to continue.
Romance in the Farm is a historical rom-com where I could not get past episode #3 because I didn't like the story, and there was too much bickering surrounding her and her relatives.I like the FL and ML, but the story does not pique my interest in continuing it. I found that Cdramas tend to drag out and make the drama longer than necessary by adding too many filler scenes. It is annoying to get scenes where there is too much fighting and bickering between the supporting cast and the main character.
Fantasy/Historical Genre not my cup of tea - bad plot and production quality
Song of the Moon is another fantasy/historical drama that I dropped. I don't like this genre, and I dropped all of them, like Immortal Samsara, Blue Whisper, etc. The plot is not realistic; hence I cannot relate.I like Vin Zhang and Xu Lu, but their recent dramas like "A romance of the little forest" by Vin Zhang and "Gentlemen of East 8th; Are you Safe; and Women Walk the Line" by Xu Lu are all bad.
I watched 5 episodes of Song of the Moon and can get myself engaged in this drama, so I am dropping it.
I am also giving this drama a 4.0 rating because of the bad plot and production quality. The CGI is so bad that it hurt my eyes to watch it.
It is a slow burn and boring drama. I can't continuing with it after 9 episodes.
Reblooming Blue is a melodrama about the relationship between Chen Xiao Man and her boss. They dated, and due to a misunderstanding, they broke up and got back together.Synopsis: Chen Xiao Man has been working hard in the city to save enough for her to invest shares in the family's porcelain business. However, she becomes unemployed and has no choice but to return to her hometown. At this time, Chen Xiao Man's superior, Ke Yan, also encounters an unprecedented setback. Hoping to turn things around, he came to Chen Xiao Man's hometown to seek the help of a legendary figure in the investment community who had been living in seclusion. This leads to a reunion between Chen Xiao Man and Ke Yan. Under his guidance and encouragement, she decided to embark on the road of entrepreneurship.
My Reviews:
1. The On-screen chemistry between the main CP is dull and non-existent.
2. The story could be faster and smoother. I am dropping this drama.
3. I lost interest in continuing after 9 episodes.
I give it a 5.0 rating because it is a typical genre that Victoria Song has played over the years since I embarked on Cdrama. The drama was nothing special; she always played a headstrong, career-oriented woman with conflicts with her lover. They broke up and got back together—the same old thing.
Decent actors in a bad plot line drama. Production quality is also bad.
Smile Code is a Rom-com starting Shen Yue and Lin Yi, my favorite actors. However, I could not see myself continuing with this drama for the following reasons:1. The production quality is so bad that it is difficult for the eyes.
2. The plot is so stupid, and seeing two good actors in this drama is sad.
3. After two episodes, I am dropping this drama. Their onscreen chemistry is so bad that it is unbearable to watch.
3. I give it a 3.0 rating.
Synopsis: It tells the story of a down-and-out part-time talk show actress and an aloof male audience member suffering from alexithymia—also known as "emotional blindness"—who get close to each other and heal each other. A love story of a woman who is funny to the end and a man who can't laugh, and a love contest begins. However, the romance is connected to the emotions between men and women and the struggling urban youths living in Shanghai. On and off the stage in the play, the spicy yet observational complaints hit the pain points of life, and the humorous ridicule is light. Still, it is also full of optimism and open-mindedness.
Bad acting, bad script, and bad production quality didn't engage me.
"Sweet Games" is a modern RomCom drama about the relationship between an older woman and a younger man, which has been done too often in Cdrama. The Synopsis: Nine years ago, An Ran was a senior at university. Beautiful and popular, her college junior Yan Yue was just one of many young men who had a crush on her. Almost a decade later, An Ran has become a career-driven entrepreneur. She dreams of rising to the top of the business world. One night, she gets drunk and stumbles into a "romantic" evening with her landlord – unaware that he is actually her college junior who has had feelings for her for years! Yan Yue is secretly a very successful voice actor. As destiny would have it, he is also a partner on a new project An Ran is about to start work on.
I watched 3 episodes and am dropping it because the acting, onscreen chemistry of the main CP, and quality production were so bad. I give it a 3.0 rating.
Don't waste your time. Bad acting and bad script. I can't get past 2 episodes
A Beautiful Lie is an idol melodrama with two good-looking actors and actresses who cannot act. After two episodes, the acting was so bad; the same goes for the script. I dropped this drama.Synopsis: A disaster-stricken area in southwest China welcomed a rescue medical team and volunteers, with actress Qin Fei accompanying the team. Everyone said that Qin Fei's volunteering was merely for show. Still, Qin Fei was earnestly committed and even risked her life to save others in a critical moment. During their time together day and night, the medical team leader, Xing Zhi Zhi, saw the resilience and kindness in Qin Fei's heart, deepening their mutual understanding. Qin Fei also discovered that many years ago, Xing Zhi Zhi was the young doctor who saved her life and reignited her hope during a dance competition accident. Their fate was already intertwined long ago.
My Reviews:
1. Bad script and bad acting. I dropped after 2 episodes.
2. I give it a 4.0 rating.
Too Boring, and Janice Wu is better in modern drama than historical one.
Faithful is a historical Cdrama about revenge starting Janice Wu. I like Janice Wu, but lately, her projects were not been interesting. This is the first historical drama that I watched from her. I think she acts better in modern drama than in historical costume. The Synopsis: A young woman named Ru Lan, who put her reputation on the line to air her grievances, dies in vain. Seven years later, nine people inextricably linked to the Ru Lan case get together for different reasons, thus beginning a story of revenge. Disregarding her good friend Meng Wan's objections, the young Lin Ru Lan risked her reputation to sue Wu Lian, the master of Xiu Liu. After many unsuccessful attempts, Ru Lan, who finds no place to hear her grievances, finally commits suicide to prove her innocence. Meng Wan bides her time for seven years and assembles nine people to seek justice for her friend. In the process, the struggles of a young girl buried in time gradually emerge.
This drama is so slow and boring that I barely passed 5 episodes. I am dropping it because it didn't intrigue me. I give it a 5.0 rating.
Crime Investigation in historical setting is not my cup of tea. It was so boring and too slow.
The Imperial Coroner is a crime investigation drama in a historical setting. I listened to AvenueX's raved review about it, and I like the lead actor Wang Zi Qi, so I checked it out. I watched 6 episodes of it and found it freaking boring. Chinese crime drama, in general, is quite dull, and to have it done in historical drama and dragged to 36 episodes is a bit much.I found it dull for modern-day crime drama to be dragged to 24 episodes, let alone a historical one. I was unengaged, and I should have known that AvenueX recommendations are usually not to my liking.
The on-screen chemistry between Wang Zi Qi and Su Xiao Tong is not as good as his on-screen chemistry with Wang Yu Wen. I love Wangs in Once We Get Married and currently streaming The Love You Give Me.
I am dropping this drama and would not recommend it if you are not into crime investigation in a historical setting.
I am giving a 5.0 because of the boring script.
